Eric Lee Godfrey, 48, of Chipley died July 24. He was a lifelong resident of Chipley and a member of First Baptist Church in Chipley.
Godfrey graduated from Chipley High School in 1977. He was employed from 1977 to 1997 at a family owned business, Godfrey Auto Supply in Chipley. For the past 10 years, he worked as an inspector for Metric Engineering Inc.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fairfax and Liffie Everett of Bonnett Pond, Ward and Marguerite Godfrey of Chipley, and an uncle, Waller Everett of Bonnett Pond.
Survivors include his wife, Melonae Hayes Godfrey; two children, Marley Gail and Dustin Lee Godfrey; his parents, Griffith and Fairlene Godfrey; one sister, Gail Godfrey Porter and fiance, Kenny Riley, all of Chipley. Also surviving are his Florida aunts, Nan Godfrey Locher and husband, Dick, of Panama City, Imogene Everett Owens and husband, John D., of Bonnett Pond; two nieces, Kaitlin Porter of Chipley, Tricia Porter Berry and husband, Eric, of Orlando; one nephew, Tyler Porter of Chipley; in-laws, Don and Mary Lou Galloway and Harvey and Carolyn Hayes.
Funeral was July 27 at First Baptist Church in Chipley with the Rev. Michael Orr officiating.
Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley with Brown Funeral Home directing.

Lisa Monette Johnson Curry
Lisa Monette Johnson Curry, 42, of Curry Ferry Road, Bonifay, died July 21. She was born Nov. 10, 1964, in Orange County, Florida. She attended Izagora Methodist Church and Cornerstone Pentecostal Ministries. She was loved by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Lynn Curry of Bonifay; two daughters: Wendy Johnson Morgan and husband Roy, of Dothan, Ala. and Ashley Lynn Curry, of Bonifay; one son: David Matthew Johnson and wife Jamie, of Geneva, Ala.; two step-sons: Michael Shiver and wife Terri, of Daleville, Ala. and William Joshua Curry, of Bonifay; father: G.M. “Jim” Toole and wife Pat; mother: Annette Chambers all of Geneva; two brothers: Marvin Toole and wife Kathy and Joseph Tidwell and wife Tina, all of Geneva; two sisters: Nannette Tidwell and husand Doug, of Geneva and Ramona McAdams and husband Charlie, of Westville; four half-sisters: Sueanna Peters, Jody Toole, Lucy Helms and Lillian Smith; one half-brother: Harley Toole; six grandchildren and one due in January; eight step-grandchildren; father of her children: David Roy Johnson of Geneva; mother and father-in-law: Rev. and Mrs. Wilmer Curry of Bonifay; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Funeral services were held July 25 in the funeral home chapel in Geneva with the Revs. Danny Burns, Keith Chamblee and Coy Haney officiating. Burial will follow in the Izagora Congregational Methodist Church cemetery in Holmes County with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.
Danny C. Taylor
Danny C. Taylor, 57, of Graceville died July 25 at his residence following a sudden illness.
Danny was born in Chipley on Nov. 21, 1949. He was a 1970 graduate of Graceville High School. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sam C. Taylor; two brothers, Joe McGinnis and Jack Franklin.
Survivors include his mother, Bonnie Taylor; two sisters,
Evie Granberry, Judy Taylor and husband Harold all of Graceville; uncle and aunts, David & Jean Taylor, Lois Teal, Lottie Early; several nieces and nephews.”
Memorial services were held Saturday, July 28, at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Chester Padgett officiating, James & Lipford Funeral Home directing.
Edna Camilla Harrell
Edna Camilla (Nichols) Harrell, 92, of Chipley died July 27 at her home. She was born Nov. 28, 1914 in Washington County. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Chipley.
Survivors include her husband J.T. Harrell of Chipley; son, R. Ronnie Harrell of Dothan, Ala.; a nephew Les Nichols of Decatur, Ala.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 29 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel on Brickyard Road with the Revs. Mike Orr and Adoplh Phares officiating.
Interment followed in the Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley officiating.
Catherine P. Carswell
Catherine Powell Carswell, 81, of Chipley died July 25 at her home. She was born January 12, 1926 in Deerland, Fla. to Grady Lee and Edith (McCallum) Powell.
Carswell was a retired school teacher, a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Washington County Historical Society. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chipley.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Judge E.W. Carswell.
Survivors include a son, David Carswell and wife Mary, of Chipley; two daughters, Melody Berry and husband David of Lexington Ky., Carol Bhide and husband Vasant of Jacksonville; one brother William Powell and wife Barbara; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and Aline Strickland.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., July 30, at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry May officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing.
The family is accepting flowers or donations can be made to the Leukemia Society.
Claribel Robertson Nelson
Claribel Robertson Nelson, 95, of Chipley died July 25 at her home. She was born March 27, 1912, to Lemual and Mary (Hightower) Robertson.
She graduated from Washington County High School in 1931, and attended Florida State University in Tallahassee. She taught in the Washington County School System for 42 years.
She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the New Orange Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 73-and-a-half years, Farrell Nelson, and a daughter, Catherine Nelson, both of Chipley; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 28 in the funeral home chapel with the Revs. Alcus Brock and David Darrow officiating.
Burial was in New Orange Baptist Church Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley directing.

Fred D. McIntosh
Fred D. McIntosh, 96, of Graceville in the Poplar Springs community died July 23 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Ala. following a sudden illness. He was born April 9, 1911 in Houston County, Ala. to the late Martie E. and Lula Clark McIntosh.
McIntosh was a farmer, a bus driver for over 20 years and a timekeeper for Poplar Springs High School. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he has served as Sunday school superintendent, training director, song leader, adult men and young adult men Sunday school teacher and served as a deacon for over 50 years.
Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Ruth McIntosh; son and daughter-in-law, Freddie and Dianne McIntosh; daughter and son-in-law, Joe Ann and Bob Price all of Graceville; a brother, James H. “Mack” McIntosh and wife Genevieve; half-sister, Evelyn Harville and husband Bud all of Pensacola; half-brother, Rex Spivey of Okeechobee; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held July 26 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Kent Lampp officiating. Burial followed in church cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home directing
