Dessie Lee (Robbins) Galloway of Hartford, Ala., (Oak Grove Community), died May 24 at her residence.
She was born May 15, 1922, in Chamblee, Ga., to the late Jessie B. and Lena (Donaldson) Robbins.
She had lived in the Hartford/Geneva area for a number of years.
She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Galloway, on May 14.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Leo Blankenship of Morris, Ala.; four sisters, Mildred Boland and Darlene Graham, both of Dozier, Ala., Willette Walter of Opp, Ala., and Inez Temples of Bonifay; one brother, Donald Robbins of Opp; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held May 26 at the Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Herb Albertson officiating.
Burial followed in the church Cemetery, with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva, Ala., directing.
James Harold Wilson, 57
James Harold Wilson of Wausau died May 1 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley.
Survivors include his wife, Rosario Alicia Acevedo “Dee” Wilson, of Wausau; three sons, Michael Wilson of Tallahassee, Matthew Wilson of Kokomo, Ind., and David Wilson of Wausau; two daughters, Gloria Miles of Graceville and Michelle Wilson of Kokomo; a brother, John Wilson, of Hollywood; eight sisters, Karen Elliott of Oxnard, Calif., Kathleen Lopez and Patty Wilson, both of Fort Worth, Texas, Barbara Kelley of Chipley, Sarah Yeber, Sue Holt, Denise Paulau, Charlotte Basan, all of Miami; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 5 at Peel Funeral Home Chapel in Bonifay, with Rev. William E. Holman officiating.
Memorialization was by cremation.
Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay was in charge of arrangements.
Genell Jay, 76
Genell Jay of Panama City died May 23 in Panama City.
She was Baptist by faith, and a member of the Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elvie Yates and Oma Owens.
Survivors include one son, Andrew Jay of Niceviille; two daughters, Patricia A. St. Germain of Newport News, Va., and Angela L. White of Crestview; one brother, Tillman Gainey of Chipley; five sisters, Ollie Taylor, Exa Bush, Evelyn Sellers, Martha Gene Nelson and Frances Kirkland; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held May 25 at Piney Grove Cemetery with Rev. Gary Wiggins officiating.
Burial followed in the Piney Grove Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley directing.
Gene Douglas Yates, 60
Gene Douglas Yates of Bonifay died May 23 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Ala.
Survivors include his wife, Gaynell Yates of Bonifay; two sons, Gerald D. Yates and wife, Marie, of Bonifay, and Gary D. Yates and wife, Erica, of Panama City; one sister, Barbara Adams of Samson, Ala.; two brothers, Billy Yates and Roy Yates, both of Samson.
Funeral services were held May 26 at Cedar Grove Methodist Church with Revs. John Hinkle and James Bracewell officiating.
Burial followed in Cedar Grove Cemetery with Sims Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.
Zelma Lorraine McCoy, 94
Zelma Lorraine McCoy of Caryville died May 25 at Mariner Health of Bonifay.
She was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Caryville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac H. “Jack” McCoy.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruby Lamb of Chipley , and Edna Holt of Caryville; two sons, Earl Ray McCoy of Eleanor, W.V., and Robert McCoy of Dover, Del.; daughter-in-law Genieve McCoy of Cooper City; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at a later date, to be announced by Sims Funeral Home of Bonifay.
Burial was held in Hein Cemetery in Poca, W.V.
Sims Funeral Home of Bonifay is in charge of local arrangements.

Melanie Taylor Booth, the infant daughter of Anthony and Christy Booth of Bonifay, died May 27 at Bay Medical Center in Panama City.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Donnie Vickery, and paternal grandfather, Herman Booth; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Survivors include her parents, Anthony and Christy Booth of Bonifay; brother, William A. Booth of Hartford, Ala.; grandmother, Martha Booth of Black, Ala.; grandparents, Peggy Vickery and Papa Roy of Westville; great-grandmother, Eloise Enfinger of Pensacola; great-grandfather, Troy Vickery of Pensacola.
Funeral services were held May 31 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Hartford, Ala., with Rev. Wesley Collins officiating.
Burial followed in Fellowship Cemetery with Sims Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.
Talph Messer, 56
Talph Messer of Bonifay died May 24 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Marie Messer.
Survivors include his wife, Olivia Messer of Bonifay; son, Daryl Messer of Bonifay; daughter, Dana Demastus of Esto; four brothers, Alf Messer of Quitman, Ga., Paul Messer, Tamphus Messer, and Tommy (Pete) Messer, all of Bonifay; a sister, Bonnie Lou Grimes of Callaway.
Funeral services were held May 28 at Carmel Assembly of God with Revs. Tommy Moore and Neil Pitts officiating.
Burial followed in Carmel Cemetery with Sims Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.
Fred Lee Johnson, 71
Fred Lee Johnson of Vernon died May 27 at Mariner Health of Bonifay.
Survivors include three sons, Noel D. Johnson of Carrabelle, Linwood Johnson of Starke, and Charles Johnson of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter Olinda Taylor of Vernon; tw sisters, Nita Pletcher and Millie Bass, both of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 1 at Live Oak Baptist Church in Bonifay died Bro. Greg Hammack officiating.
Burial followed, with Sims Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.
