The funeral service of Adam Lee Arellano, 20, of 184 Darian Dr., Leesburg, who died April 1, 2005 from injuries sustained from an automobile accident, will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Josh Smith, Jonathan Smith, James Riles, Eric Griggs, Justin Rowland, Levi Rowland, Riley Rowland and Warris Moten.
A native of Albany, Adam had resided in Dougherty and Lee Counties all his life. Adam attended Lee County Schools and was currently a full time student at Darton College in Albany. He was a very focused young man, setting goals for his future and was working towards a business degree.
Survivors include his parents, Butch and Cindy Arellano of Leesburg, a brother, Christopher (Chris) Arellano of Albany, a sister, Amber Arellano of Leesburg, his girlfriend, Julie Thomas of Leesburg, his maternal grandparents, Jack and Sue Black of Albany, his paternal grandparents, John and Cecelia Arellano and his paternal great-grandmother, Rose Arellano, all of Casper, WY., his aunts and uncles, Gilbert and Susan Arellano, Jo Ann and Tim Sheely, Jenny and Doug Hydrick, John Arellano Jr., Jack and Myretta Black Jr., Dianna and Howard Rowland and Brian Black, his cousins, DeDe Arellano, Matthew Arellano, Samantha Sheely, Danielle Sheely, Dustin Hydrick, Heather Hydrick, Zack Hydrick, Megan Hydrick, Christy Arellano, Tommy Black, Jennifer Black, Justin Rowland, Levi Rowland and Riley Rowland. Adam was preceded in death by two cousins, Jessie Arellano and Michael Black.

The memorial service of Carol L. Marchbanks, 58, of 361 Flowing Well Road, Leesburg, Ga. who died Monday, September 12, 2005 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after the service.
A native of Cleveland, OH., Mrs. Marchbanks was raised in Miami, Fl. and had resided in Cordele before moving to Lee County in 1987. Carol graduated from Jefferson High School in Miami and received an Associates Degree in Journalism from Dade Junior College.
Before moving to Albany, Carol was formerly a partner in The Shor, Hardy and Weidner Marketing Firm. She was the Executive Director and first President of The Lee County Chamber of Commerce and served in that capacity for ten years. She was a member of The St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Cordele.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Marchbanks, Sr. of Lee County, two sons, Chris McDowell and his wife Nattsu of Carrolton, Ga., Ken Weidner and his wife Sherry of Jesup, Ga. a sister, Jan Magee of Albany, two step-children, Aimee Clower and her husband Darrell of Gainesville, FL and Winn Marchbanks and his wife Cara of Albany and two grandchidren, Savannah Marchbanks and Abigail Clower.

The funeral service of Mary Frances Ivy, 79, of 1433 Liberty Expressway, S.E., Albany, Ga., who died October 13, 2005, will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. William (Butch) Knight, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Mitchell County, Ga., Mrs. Ivy had resided in Albany since 1972, moving from Jacksonville, NC. She grew up in Pelham, graduated from Pelham High School, attended Florida State University and graduated from Georgia Southern University.
Mrs. Ivy taught school in Mitchell, Worth and Dougherty County School Systems and also served two terms on The Dougherty County School Board. She was the co-owner of Albany Auto Auction before her retirement in 1999 and was a member of The First Baptist Church of Albany.
Survivors include her husband of forty three years, Will Ivy of Albany, a daughter and her husband, Nancy and Keith Brooks of Albany, two step-daughters, Beverly Williamson and her husband Curtis of Albany and Sharon Bonner of Leesburg, a step-son, Robert Dale Ivy of Phoenix, AZ., two grandchildren, Hunter Brooks and Taylor Brooks of Albany, eight step-grandchildren, Shawn Harper, Brandi Glausier, Jody Johnson, Travis Boyd, Brian Ivy, David Ivy, David Williamson and Harmony Williamson and eight step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.
The funeral service of Carolyn Herrington Proctor, 83, of 110 Apalachee Dr. Leesburg, Ga., who died Friday, will be conducted Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Liberty Parkway Church of God. Dr. Henry Rutledge will officiate. Interment will follow in Bronwood City Cemetery.
A native of Terrell County, GA., Mrs. Proctor grew up in Bronwood and moved to the Albany area from Dawson forty nine years ago. She graduated from Bronwood High School as Valedictorian and retired from Coats and Clark in 1975. Mrs. Proctor was a member of Liberty Parkway Church of God. She preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Coxwell and Sara Pridgeon.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane Coley of Jackson, TN. and Ruby Smith of Leesburg, two sons, Raymond (Ray) Cedric Addison, Jr. and his wife Joyce and Byron Addison and Jewell all of Jackson, TN., a sister Mozelle McLeod of Macon, GA., a brother-in-law, Leonard Pridgeon, Gurley, AL., eight grandchildren, Tracy Coley of Rome, GA., Isaac Addison and Renee’ Addison, both of Rome, GA., Dione Creel of Thomasville, GA., James Grant Creel III and his wife April of Leesburg, GA. and Carla Eldridge of Jackson, TN., 7 great-grandchildren and a numerous nieces and nephews.

A native of Memphis, TN, Mrs. Reever had resided in Ardmore, OK for the past five years since moving from Albany. She did advocacy work for children with disabilities and was a part of The Governors Council of Children with Disabilites. Mrs Reever was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Richard Reever of Ardmore, OK, two daughters, Morgan and Payten Reever, one son Julian Reever all of Ardmore, OK, two sisters, Jackie Wilkinson, Lee Co., and Kristen Watson of Albany, and her parents, Robert and Jerlynn Watson of Albany.

Mr. Schoolman was a native and life long resident of Dougherty Co., GA. He was employed by Oxford Construction Company and was of the Christian Faith. He was preceded in death by his father Richard C. Schoolman.

A native of Mitchell County, Mr. Worsham had resided in Albany for the past thirty six years moving here from Camilla. He graduated from Mitchell County High School and was a Navy Veteran. He retired from Southern Bell in 1998 after thirty five years of service. During his career at Southern Bell, Mr. Worsham served as local Union President of #3201 CWA for twelve years. Mr. Worsham was inducted into the Mitchell County Sports Hall of Fame in 1998. He was a member of The First Baptist Church of Camilla and attended Beacon Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Layfield Worsham, a son and his wife, Lane and Christie Worsham, all of Albany, a daughter and her husband, Ginger and Don Mitchell of Atlanta, three brothers and their wives, Murray and Nell Worsham of Navarre Beach, FL, Danny and Madeline Worsham and Dale and Patricia Worsham, all of Camilla, and three grandchildren, Sydney Mitchell, Trey Mitchell and Easten Schlegal.

The funeral service of Florine Bailey Shippey, 89, of 1451 Newton Drive, Tifton, GA., who died Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Beverly Healthcare Nursing Home, will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sherwood Baptist Church. Rev. Tom Pollock will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Miller Co., GA, Mrs. Shippey was born to her parents, Press Bailey and Bertha Rentz Bailey, lived for a number of years in the Harmony Community on the Bailey family farm, and also lived in Calhoun County, GA, as well as in Tampa, Jacksonville and Panama City, FL. She lived in Albany for forty-five years before moving to Tifton in 2000, where she resided at Beverly Healthcare Nursing Home.
Mrs. Shippey was a graduate of Miller County High School in Colquitt, GA, and was married to the late Milton Shippey. She worked for a number of years as a nurse for Dr. J. B. Martin, Dr. Fountain and Dr. Rawls and was school nurse for Dougherty High School in Albany for fourteen years. Mrs. Shippey also kept books for their floor sanding business for many years.
Mrs. Shippey was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class, but she also taught sunday school and vacation bible school at Raleigh White Baptist Church in the 1950's and the 1960's. Mrs. Shippey enjoyed cooking, working in the yard and square dancing. She and her husband for many years were members of the Rafter Rockers square dance club in Albany. Also, members of the Georgia State Square Dancers Association and Dixie Federation of Callers.
Survivors include her only child and his wife, Herbert and Sue Shippey of Tifton, two grandsons, Daniel and Philip Shippey, both of Tifton, two sisters, Carolyn Ward of Byron, GA and Annie Lou Wells of Colquitt, GA, two brothers, Earl Bailey of Watkinsville, GA and Preston Bailey of Auburndale, FL and a number of nieces and nephews.

A native of Calhoun County, Ga., Mrs. Houston moved to Albany in 1941 and later in 1960 moved to Leesburg. She was the retired owner of The Pink Kitten, a needle point shop. She loved to sew and was well know for her skill and dexterity in her craft. Mrs. Houston was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Ken Houston, of Leesburg, a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Judy Houston of Savannah, a daughter, Ramona Houston of Leesburg, a grandson and his wife, Michael and Lisa Houston of Warner Robins, a granddaughter and her husband, Holly and Ron Lick of Savannah, four great-grandsons, Zack Houston and Cameron Houston and Wesley Lick and Parker Lick.

The graveside funeral service of Ellen Anne (Bebe) Baggs Adair, 53 of 24 Perry Street, Camilla who died Sunday, September 4, 2005 at her residence will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakview Cemetery, Camilla. The Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.
A native and lifelong resident of Camilla, Mrs. Adair was born to the late George Byron Baggs, Jr. and Mary Ruth Ellis Baggs. She was a 1969 graduate of Mitchell County High School, she was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Camilla.
Survivors include two daughters, Tiffany Adair Luckey of Camilla and Mary Anne Weekley and her husband Scott of Albany, four grandchildren, Douglas Nobles, Carrie Nobles, Jordan Weekley and Madison Weekley, a sister, Rosemary Baggs Hays of Camilla, a nephew and his wife, Freddy and Priscilla Deen of Camilla and three great-nephews.
