CAIRO - Wayne (Bud) West, 70, of Cairo died Monday, October 21, 2002, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cairo Church of God with interment in Greenwood Cemetery. The Rev. Lowell Smith and the Rev. Steve Singletary will officiate.
The pallbearers will be Clyde Frazier, Jerry Frazier, Jack Stone, Arron West, Wendell Brinson and Bobby Brinson.
A native of Cairo, Mr. West was a mechanic and welder for 55 years.
Survivors include his wife, Faye West; son, Terry West of Thomasville; daughter, Teresa Warren of Cairo; sisters, Margaret Frazier and Nezzie Cooper, both of Cairo; brother, J.L. West of Coolidge; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary West; sister, Netter Stone; brothers, Bill West and Howard West and parents, John and Mettie Virginia Crawford West.

SYLVESTER - Jimmy D. Hutcheson, 55, of Sylvester, died Sunday, October 20, 2002, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Banks Funeral Chapel with cremation to follow. The Rev. Bobby J. Brown will officiate.
Mr. Hutcheson had lived in Worth County since 1994, having moved from Albany. He was an electrician and had served in the US Army. He was a former member of the Albany Moose Lodge and was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Cecil Hutcheson and Pauline Johnson Hutcheson.
Survivors include his wife, Emeli Mims of Sylvester; three sons, Jeffrey D. Hutcheson of Worth County, Jimmy D. Hutcheson of Jacksonville, FL, and Billy G. Hutcheson of Alma; two daughters, Xan Metz of Jacksonville, FL, and Heather Renee' Hutcheson of Camilla; a stepson, Jason Michael Mims of Sylvester and a stepdaughter, Cassie Ann Mims of Sylvester; four brothers, Ed Hutcheson of Deland, FL, Earl Hutcheson of Millwood, Vernon Hutcheson of Alma, and Kenny Hutcheson of Memphis, TN; a sister, Martha Ann Hutcheson of Jacksonville, FL; and seven grandchildren. Patti Hutcheson is the mother of Jeffrey and Heather Hutcheson.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
