ALBANY - Muzette Virginia Fennell, 64, of Trafford, AL, formerly of Albany, died Monday, October 21, 2002, at Medical Center East in Birmingham, AL.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, GA.
Mrs. Fennell was born November 25, 1937, in Pavo, GA, to the late Ben David and Bronie Virginia Cone Brooks. She was a retired medical assistant. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Fennell was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Woodrow Fennell, and two sisters, Larue Chastain and Laverne Bush, and a brother, Ben David Brooks Jr.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters, David Mercer of Albany, Ken Mercer of Loveland, CO, Kenneth Fennell of Long Beach, NC, Carolyn Jones of Albany, and Patricia Diane Burke of Birmingham, AL; brother, Dale Brooks of Americus; two sisters, Vicky Glover of Americus and Judy Lunsford of Sylvester; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

SYLVESTER - Maidee Johnson Grubbs, 97, of 1451 Ga. Hwy. 33 S., Sylvester, died Wednesday, October 23, 2002, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pinson Memorial United Methodist Church with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery. Dr. Dan Williamson will officiate.
A native of Troup County, Mrs. Grubbs was born April 1, 1905. She had lived in Worth County since 1966, moving from Decatur, GA. She was a homemaker and a member of Sylvester Garden Club. She was formerly named Mother of the Year by the Sylvester Junior Woman's Club. She was a member of Pinson United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Maude O'Sheal Sunday School Class and the Pinson Circle. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Rayburn Johnson and Overton Hearn Johnson. Her husband, Joseph M. Grubbs, preceded her in death January 7, 1990, and a daughter, Betty Jo Lowrimore in June, 2000.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mae G. and Joe K. Shiver of Sylvester; son-in-law, the Rev. Ralph T. Lowrimore of Casey, SC; and a special friend, Margaret Lodge of Sylvester; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A native of Baker County, Mrs. Milner-Jones was a homemaker. She graduated from Milleton High School in Tampa, Fla. She was a member of the Golden Key Club and St. Paul Methodist Church in Arlington.
Survivors include two sons, Arthur Jones Jr. and Augustus Jones, both of Detroit, Mich.; three daughters, Yvonne Jones, Yvette Burton and Aminike Jaleel, all of Detroit, Mich.; her mother, Jossie Redden of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Juanita Milner-Bailey of Albany; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

ALBANY - The graveside funeral service of Jackie (Jack) Floyd Woods, 70, of 155 Stocks Dairy Road, Leesburg, who died Wednesday, October 23, 2002, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Crown Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Neil Brown will officiate.
A native of Abbeville, GA, Mr. Woods had resided in Lee County for the past 37 years, moving from Albany. Mr. Woods was a retired trim carpenter and cabinet maker and was employed with Lambert Suess for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Albany, VFW Post #2785 and was past master of Chehaw Lodge #701 and was presently a member of Dougherty Lodge #591.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Woods of Lee County; a daughter, Jackie Woods Holmes and her husband Perry of Lee County; a son-in-law, John Aldredge of Lee County; a sister, Janice Quinn of Southport, NC; four grandchildren, John Aldredge Jr., Amber Aldredge, Meaghan Holmes and Landon Holmes. Mr. Woods was preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie Aldredge.

A native of Irwin County, Mr. Denney was a 1957 graduate of Irwin County High School. He was the service manager for Irwin County Tractor Co. and was a farmer. He was also a former well driller with Henry Woodrum and a former employee of Ocilla Milling Company. Mr. Denney was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class. He was a former vice-president and reporter for the Irwin Young Farmer's and past governor of the Ocilla-Fitzgerald Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Harrison Denney of Ocilla; daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Steve Hamby of Ocilla, Wanda and Gary Watson of Fitzgerald and DeAnn and Michael Adkison of Ocilla; son and daughter-in-law, Marcus and Mandy Denney of Ocilla; grandchildren, Hillary and Hayden Hamby, Kaylan and Kristen Watson, Nic, Mac and Anna Denney, Lee Bridges, Jennifer Farley, Ethan Adkison, Jake Jones and Casey Jones; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nita and J.W.
