ALBANY - The funeral service of Oliver James Lewis, 82, of 104 Thomas Street, Leesburg, who died Monday, October 28, 2002, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald McDaniel and the Rev. Jason Duckworth will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.
A native of Jonesboro, GA, Mr. Lewis had resided in the Albany-Leesburg area most of his life. Mr. Lewis retired as shop foreman with the City of Albany in 1975 after 40 years of service. He was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Gilley Lewis of Leesburg; son, Robert James Lewis and his wife Deborah of Leesburg; two daughters, Bonny L. Henderson and her husband Richard and Lisa L. Chavers and her husband Mike, all of Leesburg; six grandchildren, Robbie Lewis, Cindy L. Duck-worth, Leslie Chavers, Jeremy Chavers, Michael Henderson and Koby Wisham; four sisters, Margie Robinson, Virginia Gossett and Elvie Green, all of Albany, and Josephine Marsh of Sylvester. Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Lavon Lewis and Rhoddie Mae Gilbert Lewis; brothers, Roy Lewis and Warner Lewis; and sisters, Ruby Pearl Matice, Clara Evans and Alberta Rogers.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be at the residence of Robert and Deborah Lewis, 1093 Grave Springs Rd., Leesburg.

A native of Colquitt, GA, he had lived in Albany most of his life and worked in janitorial service.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, October 22, 2002, in Loma Vista Cemetery in Loma Vista, Texas.
A native of Calhoun County, GA, Mrs. Brice had lived in Batesville most of her life. She was a rancher and homemaker. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Batesville.
Survivors include her brother, J.T. Manry Jr. of Blakely, GA; three sisters, Ruth M. Hester of Eufaula, Ala., Ruby M. Sealy of Columbus, GA, and Wynelle M. Brown of Statesboro, GA; one niece, Margaret Lea Brice Welch of Santa Fe, N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Brice; parents, Sallie Belle Isler Manry and Joseph Thomas Manry Sr.; and three brothers, Tommy O. Manry, Robert Manry and Gene Manry.

A native of Marianna, FL, Mr. Kimbrell had resided in Arlington, GA, before moving to Albany forty three years ago. Mr. Kimbrell was retired from Lykes Brothers and was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former, Ruth McIntyre Railey of Albany; four sons, J.C. Kimbrell of Shellman, Dorsey Kimbrell of Hopewell, VA, Allen Kimbrell and Tracy Kimbrell, both of Albany; four daughters, Pauline Chatman of Leesburg, Mary Layman of Unadilla, GA, Eunice Carter of West Palm Beach, FL, and Ruth Whiting of Albany; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Kimbrell was preceded in death by his first wife, Vera Sheffield Kimbrell.
