CAMILLA - Robert Edward Campbell, 80, of 170 Fern Road, Camilla, died Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at Mitchell County Convalescent Center.
The funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at New Home Freewill Baptist Church #2 in Camilla with the Rev. Bennie Cumbie officiating, and at 4 p.m. at Spring Branch Baptist Church in Baxley with interment in Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Baxley.
The pallbearers will be Paul Gibson, Bud Gibson, Bill Campbell, Ricky Brock, Keith Brock and Carol Middleton.
A native of Appling County, Mr. Campbell was retired from Georgia Power and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of New Home Freewill Baptist Church #2.
Survivors include his wife, Joline Campbell of Camilla; sons, Johnie Campbell, David Campbell and Allen Campbell, all of Baxley; daughters, Barbara Gardner of Tifton and Brenda Harden of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; stepsons, Donnie Foister of Camilla, Randall Foister of Camilla, Daniel Foister of Tallahassee, Fla., Greg Foister of Camilla and Bernard Foister of Atlanta; stepdaughters, Sharon Bridwell of Camilla, Vickie Sapp of Camilla and Beverly Carr of Newton; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob Campbell and Margie Carter.

A native of Kissimmee, Osceola County, Fla., Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Joseph W. (Bill) Edwards of Putney, John C. Edwards of Camilla, Stacy J. Edwards of Albany and Harry E. Edwards of Thomasville; daughters, Geraldine Smith Ricks of Camilla, Marjorie Hayes of Camilla and Pamela S. Edwards of Albany; one brother, George Stacy Williams of Cairo; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Brown Edwards; daughter, Shirley E. Brooks and parents, John W. Williams and Cassie Mae Joiner.

ARLINGTON - Aline Doyle Rizer, 69, of Rt. 1, Box 540, Arlington, died Monday, December 9, 2002, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Arlington Baptist Church with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery. Dr. Gary Hadden will officiate.
A native of Oakdale, LA, Mrs. Rizer was born October 5, 1933. She had lived most of her adult life in Arlington. She was a homemaker and a member of Arlington Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Rizer Sr. and son, Brian Rizer and her parents, the late Francis Doyle and Lillian Doyle.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Curry of Albany; three sons, Harry Rizer Jr. of Tifton, Todd Rizer of Albany and Tim Rizer of Arlington. Also surviving are a brother and two sisters; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

DAWSON - Leila Bullard Stokes, 94, of Pelham, formerly of Dawson, died Monday, December 9, 2002, in Arlington at Calhoun Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the graveside in Doverel Baptist Church Cemetery in Terrell County, with the Rev. Charles Leverett and the Rev. Jasper Sadler officiating.
Mrs. Stokes was a native of Baker County, born July 4, 1908, daughter of the late Wiley Bullard and Euna Mae Williams Bullard. She had been a resident of Dawson for 65 years prior to moving to Pelham six years ago. She was the widow of J.M. Stokes. She was a homemaker and a member of Doverel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Mercer Stokes and Gerald Stokes and a daughter, Mary Sheffield and a grandson.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn S. Pierce of Pelham; a sister, Naida Jordan of Leary; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

ALBANY - The funeral service of Sophia Mae Reynolds Batton of Albany who died Monday, December 9, 2002, at Palmyra Medical Centers, will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home in Jacksonville, FL. A native of Newberry, FL, Mrs. Batton had lived in the Jacksonville area most of her life prior to moving to Albany in 2000. She was the daughter of Rankin Reynolds and Nancy Dawson Reynolds. She was a homemaker and the widow of Samuel F. Batton. She was a member of Woodstock Baptist Church in Jacksonville and she was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Camilla, GA.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Eva Batton Stoudenmire and Walter Stoudenmire of Albany and Lucy Batton Hodges and Colon Hodges of Hannahan, S.C.; a son and his wife, Joseph and Kathryn Batton of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren, Joe Batton and Connie Batton Okstad, both of Jacksonville, FL, Phillip Stoudenmire and Debbie Sledge, both of Albany, Tim D. Hodges of Houston, TX, George Hodges of Harrisburg, PA; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Several nieces and nephews in the Jacksonville and Newberry area. She is also survived by a nephew, Bert Frisbee of La Canada, Calif.

ALBANY - Robert S. Crawford, 79, of Albany died Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Crown Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Gant and the Rev. John Hemken will officiate.
Mr. Crawford was born in Savannah but resided in Albany most of his life. He retired as a rural mail carrier from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church.
Mr. Crawford was a veteran and served during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Albany High School. He attended Clemson University, the University of South Carolina, and the University of Georgia. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Connie Griffith of Dallas, Texas; a son, Stan Crawford of Leesburg; five grandchildren and a brother, James D. Cahill of Charlotte, North Carolina.
The family will receive friends at 1709 Pineknoll Lane from 7 p.m. to 8:30 today.

A native and lifelong resident of Worth County, Mr. Davis was born May 12, 1913, to the late John William Davis and Lillie McDonald Davis. He was a farmer and a member of Gordy New Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Davis would have celebrated their sixty-ninth wedding anniversary January 21, 2003. A daughter, Brenda Davis Smith, preceded Mr. Davis in death January 1, 1993.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Brown Davis of Sylvester; son and daughter-in-law, Weldon and Peggy Davis of Sylvester; two brothers, Maxwell Davis and Donald Davis, both of Albany; two sisters, Ruth White of Albany and Martha Stripling of Waycross; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

ALBANY - Ella Louise Puiszis, 71, of Albany, died Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at her residence.
Mrs. Puiszis was born in Chicago, IL, and as been a resident of Albany since 1973. She was an office clerk for Goodby/ Shermer Pecan Company for 20 years and a homemaker for many years. She was a member of Putney United Methodist Church UMW.
She was the widow of David Puiszis.
Survivors include two sons, David Puiszis of Hurst, Texas, and Joseph Puiszis of Putney; three daughters, Catherine Kline and Ellen Branch, both of Albany, and Sharon Snelson of Sylvester; a sister, Joan Kohot of Arvada, CO; grandchildren, Warren Kline, Monica Mock, Aaron Puiszis, Erin Branch, Elizabeth Branch and William Bo Snelson.
There will be a memorial service held at Putney United Methodist Church at a later date.

Mr. Whitley was formerly of Albany and moved to Jacksonville in 1999. He retired from Proctor and Gamble in 1999.
