UNADILLA - Clarence Minor, 89, died Tuesday, December 10, 2002, in a local hospital.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Bethel Baptist Church in Unadilla with burial in Shiloh Cemetery in Houston County. The Rev E.L. Clark will officiate.
Mr. Minor was the son of the late Houston and Laura Ford Minor and was a native of Dooly County. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and was the widower of Annie M. Minor. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include five daughters, Juanita Higdon and Dorothy Williams, both of Tampa, FL, Almas (Gerald) Johnson of Rochester, NY, Betty (James) McGhee and Ruby Minor, both of Henderson; three sons, John Henry (Betty) Minor of Elko, Freddie (Fannie) Minor of Unadilla, and Charlie (Sherry) Minor of Perry; 29 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.

WARNER ROBINS - Betty W. Doherty passed away Thursday, December 12, 2002, at Hospice Atlanta.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Fred Nijem officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. A Rosary was said Friday at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund, 250 S. Davis Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Mrs. Doherty was born in Abbeville, GA. She was retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base where she served as a contract negotiator. A longtime resident of Warner Robins, Mrs. Doherty was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her husband, Richard A. Doherty, and her mother, Josephine Warnock, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Rick Doherty (Pam) of Albany, GA; daughter, Janice Whitcomb (David) of Lilburn, GA; brothers, George West, E.C. Warnock and Larry Warnock, all of Warner Robins; and five grandchildren, Brendan and Kelly Whitcomb of Lilburn, and Ricky, Cameron and Shannon Doherty of Albany.

Born in Randolph County, Mrs. Peak had lived in Lee County since 1966. She was a member of Philema Road Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn P. Smith of Goosecreek, SC, and Emily P. Edwards of Lee County; son, James M. Peak of Chipley, FL; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

A native of Clay Co., AL, Mrs. Todd had resided in Albany since 1956. She was the widow of Leonard Eugene Todd. She was a retired lab technician retiring from Turner Field, a member of the Lydia Sunday School class and a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Anita Todd Reed of Albany, GA; a brother, H.S. Bence Jr. of Opelika, AL; two sisters, Shirley Hamil and Gail Carroll, both of Lanette, AL; and three grandchildren.

CAMILLA - Harriette Jeanette Rogers, 86, of Camilla died Thursday, December 12, 2002, at the Camilla Retirement Village.

Born June 25, 1916, in Ben Hill County, Miss Rogers was owner of Hawthorne Jewelers of Camilla. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia in 1939 with a B.S. degree in Home Economics. She was the daughter of the late Albert S. and Anna M. Powell Rogers. She was a member of Camilla United Methodist Church. Miss Rogers was preceded in death by her lifelong friend, Helen Hilliard.
Survivors include four cousins, Hugh Powell of Jacksonville, FL, Dottie Pruitt of Montgomery, AL, Elizabeth Tabor of Perry, GA, and Min Bowers of Milton, FL; her special caretaker, Louise Hayes of Camilla; her honorary family, four generations of the E.L. Hilliard family of Camilla.

SYLVESTER - Charles J. Hurst, 84, of Anderson City, died Friday, December 13, 2002 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held today (Sunday), 2 p.m. at Kimball United Methodist Church, with burial in Tempy Cemetery, both in Worth County. The Rev. Gene Sheffield will officiate.
Born in Worth County, on April 17, 1918 to the late Rev. Jesse Joyce Hurst and Martha Ada Jones Hurst. He was retired after 30 years traveling and working overseas with the United States Agency of International Development as a project director. He was a member of Kimball United Methodist Church, where he taught the Adult Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Jean B. Hurst of Anderson City; four sons, Charles W. Hurst of Fayetteville, Terre G. Hurst of Duluth, Steven Pham and his wife, Nancy of Anderson City, and James Hurst of Atlanta; a daughter, Carmen Hurst Meyer of San Diego, CA; a brother, Millard Hurst of Sylvester; a sister, Alyce H. ALBANY - Charles C. "Chuck" Pavy, 71, of 2706 Pine Valley Road in Albany died Saturday, December 14, 2002 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

A native of New Orleans, LA, Mr. Pavy has lived in Albany most of his life where he was of the Catholic faith and retired from the U.S. Marine Corp., where he was the youngest Buck Sgt. to serve in the military.
