DONALSONVILLE - Ada Lee Rickman, 95, of Donalsonville passed away Saturday, December 14, 2002, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with interment in Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville with the Rev. Jerry Lott officiating. Visitation will be held today, one hour before the service.
Mrs. Rickman was born in Early County on January 7, 1907, to the late John and Ada Ball Jackson. She lived most of her life in Seminole County and for several years she worked for Ike Brunson and C.S. Forrester in the mercantile store. She was married to the late Claude Rickman. Mrs. Rickman was a loyal member of Friendship United Methodist, a member of the Jubilees, the Donalsonville Supper Club, the Garden Club and the Bridge Club.
She is survived by one son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Art Roberts of Montgomery, AL, and one daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Domeier of Fayetteville, GA; and one sister, Margaret Bean of St. Petersburg, FL. She is also survived by three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

ALBANY - The funeral service of Ethel Elizabeth Coston, 77, of 1399 Hwy. 19 South, Leesburg, who died Monday, December 16, 2002, will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Ken Chancellor will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Colquitt County, GA, Mrs. Coston had resided in the Albany and Leesburg area since 1950. Mrs. Coston was a bookkeeper for Coats and Clark and retired after thirty two years. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and the Rose Moore Sunday School Class. Mrs. Coston was preceded in death by a son, Carl Cox, who died in 1977.
Survivors include two sons, William (Snooky) Cox of Salem, Oregon, and Thomas (Tom) E. Cox of Albany, GA; a daughter, Doris Ryan of Apollo Beach, FL; two sisters, Nita Hermatz of Daytona Beach, FL, and Lucille Seay of Manhattan, KS; a brother, Ira Clark of Lucedale, MS; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Anita Hewell Jenkins
ATLANTA - Anita Hewell Jenkins, formerly of Albany, died Saturday, December 14, 2002, in Atlanta, GA. She was 59 years old.
Mrs. Jenkins received a degree in speech and language pathology from the University of Georgia and was a devoted special education teacher for over 20 years. She was active in numerous community organizations, including the Junior League and the Girls Club of Albany. Most recently, she worked with the Volunteer Program at The Carter Center in Atlanta.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. John Lewis Jenkins, former rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Albany and St. Mark's Church, Radium Springs; daughter, Margaret Hewell Jenkins of Atlanta; daughter, Elizabeth Jenkins Bush, son-in-law, Matthew Moser Bush and grandson, Clay Gordon Bush, all of Savannah.
Survivors also include her brother, James G. (Jim) Hewell; sister-in-law, Mignon Hewell and nephew, Gregory Hewell of Atlanta.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 12 p.m. at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Atlanta.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Drive, Atlanta, GA 30319.

ALBANY - Mary Bass Mitchell, 88, of 1615 Beverly Ave., died Tuesday, December 17, 2002, at Palmyra Nursing Home following an illness.
The funeral service will be Thursday, 2 p.m. at Floral Memory Gardens. The Rev. Ken Chancellor will officiate.
A native of Clinton, NC, Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Leon M. Mitchell Sr. of Albany; two sons, David Williams and wife Janie of Albany, Leon M. Mitchell Jr. and wife Cynthia of Albany; two daughters, Marvena Griffin and husband Donald of Roanoke, VA, and Gail Mitchell of Albany; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

ALBANY - The graveside funeral service of Nelvie E. (Nick) Nichols, 85, of 501 Pine Ave., who died Monday, December 16, 2002, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. today at Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Beckum will officiate.
A native of Ben Hill County, Mr. Nichols had resided in Albany since 1934. He was a self-employed carpenter and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth E. Nichols of Albany; two stepdaughters; three step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
