ALBANY - The graveside memorial service of Edward Perry Coe, 88, of Leesburg, who died December 21, 2005, at his residence, will be conducted Friday, January 6, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Andersonville National Cemetery, in Andersonville, GA. The Rev. Eugene Barlow will officiate.
A native of Richwood, WV, Mr. Coe had resided in Leesburg for the last year and a half, moving from Atlanta where he had lived for 35 years. He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy and was an accountant retiring with Coca Cola Bottling Company, and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Edward P. Coe Jr. of Ashville, NC, and Graham Allaway Coe and his wife, Sharon of Hastings, FL; three daughters, Marilyn Morgan and her husband, Rich of Leesburg, Cynthia Anne Farrar and her husband, Dan of Victoria Island, Canada, and Cheryl Susan Coe of Mableton, GA; six grandchildren, Stephanie Hall, Denise Passinault, Lucy Walling, Renee Ayers, Bryce and Bree Farrar; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leesburg United Methodist Church Building Fund, 117 Starksville Ave. N, Leesburg, GA 31763.

AMERICUS - Raymond Lee Oliver Jr., 84, died Monday morning, January 2, 2006, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center in Americus.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Young Memorial Methodist Church in Thomson with the Rev. Joseph W. Whitwell and the Rev. R. Edward Cook officiating with burial to follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens in Thomson. The family will receive friends at the church following the funeral services.
Mr. Oliver was born the son of the late Raymond Lee Oliver Sr. and Clara Davies Oliver on September 30, 1921, in Americus, Sumter County, GA. Mr. Oliver was in Insurance Sales, worked for Augusta Dry Goods Company and Thomson Wholesale Grocery. Also, Mr. Oliver was self-employed, owner operator of Oliver Home Furnishing and repair in Thomson, GA. He was a charter member of Young Memorial Methodist Church in Thomson, GA, and also was a member of Sasser United Methodist Church in Thomson, GA, and also a member of Sasser United Methodist Church in Sasser, GA. He was also a member of The Georgia Peace Officer Association. Mr. Oliver was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. Oliver is survived by his wife, Margaret G. Oliver of Americus; cousins, Grady C. Davies of Thomasville, Caroline O. Barfield of Augusta, C.H. Oliver Jr. and Betty Haynes, both of Dawson, Lee Oliver of Dalton, Thomas Oliver of Grey and Phillip Oliver of Macon.

Jule LeGreve Bowman
ALBANY - On Tuesday, January 3, 2006, Jule LeGreve Bowman died in Albany at Morningside Assisted Living after battling cancer for many years. She was 81 years old.
The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern Thursday from 4-6 p.m. The funeral service will be private.
Jule LeGreve Bowman was born in Albany on December 5, 1924 to Mr. and Mrs. John Edmund LeGreve. Mrs. LeGreve was the former Mamie Jule Wightman of Albany. Mrs. Bowman was the younger sister of the late, Charles Edmund LeGreve, who was killed in an automobile accident at the age of 18 in 1932. Mrs. Bowman graduated from Albany High School in 1941, and attended Breneau College in Gainesville, the University of Georgia, in Athens, and Finch College, in New York City. While at Breneau, she was inducted into Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.
On June 22, 1946, she married Air Force Capt. Charles Lee Bowman of Hickory, NC at First Methodist Church in Albany. They met while Capt. Bowman was stationed at Albany's Turner Field. After they married, they moved to several locations, and raised two daughters while her husband continued serving in the Air Force. During that time, she was a member and officer in the Air Force Officer's Wives Club on Kadena Air Base, Okinawa where she helped start a gift shop run by it's members that still existed today.
After her husband, Lt. Col. Bowman, retired in 1964, the family decided to retire in Albany. They joined the First United Methodist Church where her family had been members for many years. Mrs. Bowman was also a member of Palmyra Heights Garden Club, former member of the Charity League of Albany, Charter member of Doublegate Country Club, and was once a member of the Doublegate Ladies Golf Association.
Mrs. Bowman took great pleasure in her hobbies, which included gardening, cooking, playing bridge needlework, golf, and enjoyed world travel. She was a devoted lover of animals, particularly poodles.
She is survived by her husband, Charles L. Bowman, as well as her two daughters, Linda Bowman Young, Nancy Bowman Ventulett and her husband, Jay all of Albany. She also leaves five grandchildren: Laura Haley Creel and her husband, Howe of Eugene, OR, Lee Haley Jones and her husband, Tyler of Duluth, GA, Brett A. Young and wife, Natalia of Bridgeville, PA, Brian A. Young and wife, Linney of Alpharetta, GA, and John L. Young of Hyde Park, NY.
Mrs. Bowman also has a step-granddaughter: Katherine Ventulett Hernacki and husband, Mike. William C. Jones and Elizabeth H. Jones of Duluth, GA are her great-grandchildren. Finally, she is also survived by her beloved poodle, Sandy.
