A native of Milton, FL, Mrs. Barlow had lived in Lee County for 30 years and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Travis Barlow of Lee County; 3 sons, Ronald Barlow, Donald Barlow and his wife Jennifer, Richard Barlow and his wife, Jill all of Lee County; daughter, Tammy Cannon and her husband, Larry of Lee County; 3 brothers, Gordon Council of Nevada, Lester Council of Colorado, Doug Council of Florida; 2 sisters, Gladys Lynch of Ohio and Mildred Reynolds of Florida; 8 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

ALBANY - Adeline "Addie" Bryan, 80, of Albany died Monday, January 2, 2006, in Marietta.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday at Lutheran Church of Our Savior with Pastor Charles Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens.
A native of Altura, MN, Mrs. Bryan was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Savior. She retired from the Marine Corps Logistics Base and was a volunteer with United Way. Mrs. Bryan also loved to read to school children and did so in the Dougherty County School System. She was an avid Braves, Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs fan.
She is survived by her daughter, Helen Lutz of Marietta; a son, Greg Bryan and his wife, Traci of Conyers; five grandchildren, Laura L. Jordan, Ashley Bryan, Graysyn Bryan, Stephen Bryan and Cameryn Bryan; two great-grandchildren: Whitney Jordan and Abbagail Bryan.
The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 8 PM Friday at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors.

ALBANY - Ruby Duke Jones Higgins, 85, of Atlanta died Wednesday, January 4, 2006, in Dunwoody.
Mrs. Higgins was born on January 24, 1920, in Marion County, GA. She was the daughter of Mary Davis Duke and Joseph Z. Duke Sr. She grew up in Buena Vista and moved to Albany in 1938. Ruby married David Lee Jones in 1940. After David's death in 1943, Ruby continued to live in Albany until she married Kenneth J. Higgins Sr. in 1946. As a military wife, she traveled extensively in this country and overseas. She returned to the Atlanta area in 1964 where she began her real estate career. She continued her pleasure travel at every opportunity until the end.
Mrs. Higgins is survived by her daughter, Lee J. Moore and her husband James, Frances Dell Massey and her husband, Steve; a son, Kenneth J. Higgins Jr.; a sister, Mary Jane King; seven grandchildren, Erin Graner, Ryan Moore, Brandy Massey, Joy Higgins, Colin Higgins, Brian McMahon, Scott McMahon; and four great-grandchildren.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husbands, David Lee Jones and Kenneth J. Higgins Sr.; a daughter, Lynda Jones McMahon; sisters, Elizabeth Miller, Loretta "Cherry" Maxwell and Billie Lindsey; brothers, Joseph Z. Duke Jr., James C. Duke and David E. Duke.
Mrs. Higgins' funeral service will be held at 4 PM Saturday at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors with Rev. Nathan Godley officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday at Kimbrell-Stern from 5 PM until 7 PM.

Born January 16, 1926, in Mitchell County, Mrs. Mathis attended Rosenward School in Sale City and Georgia Normal School in Albany. She was a member of Greater Second Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she served as a senior choir member and on the mission board. She was also a member of Eastside Charity Club and a former member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Murphy and Annette Mathis, both of Albany, and Marie Moss (Ernest) of Glen Burnie, Md.; seven sons, Commander Sgt. Major Billy Mathis (Christine) of Tacoma, Wash., 1st Sgt. Carlton Mathis (Teresa) of San Antonio, Texas, Calvin Mathis (Susan) of Austell, Attorney Marvin L. Mathis (Frances) of Los Angeles, Calif., Tommy L.
