ALBANY - Ralph Aubrey Aldredge Jr. 89 of 1130 Benjamin Ave. died Monday, January 9, 2006, at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Tony Haefs officiating.
A native of Fulton County, Mr. Aldredge was a retired Aircraft mechanic and test pilot with Ayers Corporation here in Albany. He worked for Bell Bomber during World War II building B-25 Bombers. Mr. Aldredge was a member of the Flint River Railroad Club here in Albany.
Survivors include 2 daughters; Patricia Aldredge of Jacksonville, FL., Debbie Smith and her husband, John of Albany; 2 sons, Ralph A. Aldredge III and his wife Carol of Duluth, Michael Aldredge and his wife, Diane of Snellville; 6 grandchildren, Leslie Pritchett and her husband, Bill of Lilburn, Julie Hyatt and her husband, Daniel of Dacula, Michelle Aldredge and her husband, Joseph Bills of Hancock, NH, Grace, Hope and Joshua Smith, all of Albany; 2 great grandchildren; Jeremiah and Jessie.
The family will receive friends today from 5 PM until 7 PM at Kimbrell-Stern and will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. John Smith, 1130 Benjamin Ave. Albany, GA 31707.

ALBANY - Mrs. Vera L. Tucker Casey, 77, of 606 3rd Ave. in Albany died January 8, 2006, at Palmyra Nursing Home.
The funeral service will be Wednesday 2 PM at Kimbrell-Stern. Rev. Stewart-Allen Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Baker Co., GA. Mrs. Casey had lived in Albany since 1962 where she was of the Baptist Faith and was retired from Coats and Clark Co.
Survivors include her sons, Jim Casey Jr. of Albany, Jerome Casey of Albany; daughters, Frances Casey of Albany, B.J. Boyett of Albany and Carolyn Lutterman of Mitchell Co., GA; six grandchildren, Jimmy Casey III, Alisha Jackson, Tonya Gillikin, Michael Sangster, Kevin Lutterman, Scott Casey, Jennifer Cox and Heather Casey; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, Ben Johnson of Newton and Ed Tucker of Colquitt; sisters, Betty Josey of Colquitt and Bonnie Smith of Charlotte, NC.
The family received friends Tuesday from 6 PM until 8 PM at Kimbrell-Stern, and will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Casey Jr. 3804 Gateway Ave., Albany, GA 31721.

SYLVESTER - Bob Jacobs, 78, of Doerun, died Monday, January 9, 2006, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Banks Funeral Chapel with interment in Round Lake Cemetery in McGregor, MN.
Born April 14, 1927, in Aitkin, MN, to Marcus E. and Gwendolyn Hope Widger Jacobs, Mr. Jacobs had lived in Worth County since 1978. He was the operator of Worth Contracting Co. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Moultrie.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Hollingsworth Jacobs of Doerun; sons and daughter-in-law, Chris Jacobs of Minnetonka, MN, Don and Deann Jacobs of Eureka, MT, and Dennis Jacobs of Lookout Mountain; daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Mark McGregor of Dawson Springs, KY, and Lindy and Chuck Weisman of Fisherville, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Joyce Jacobs and Curt and Bernice Jacobs, all of McGregor, MN; 11 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 p.m. until the hour of service.

Dosha Elizabeth Jones-Cooper
ALBANY - Dosha Elizabeth Jones-Cooper, 82, of 215 Clearlake Rd., Newton, died Monday, January 9, 2006, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2006, at Chapel Hill Baptist Church, Old Pretoria Rd., Newton. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Shellman. The Rev. Jack Johnson will officiate.
Born January 12, 1923, in Selma, AL, Mrs. Cooper attended Dallas County public schools in Selma. She was a homemaker and a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. She served as mother of the church, president of the mission board and was a former member of the senior choir.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Cooper of Shellman; six daughters, Rochell Jackson of Leesburg, Ruby Dean Johnson (Leonard) of Camilla, Willie Jean Crafton, Joann Hines (Alvin), Georgie Ree Burns and Carolyn Cooper, all of Albany; three sons, Tommy Lee Butler, Johnny Cee Cooper and Leroy Cooper, all of Newton; 32 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The remains of Mrs. Cooper will be placed in the church for viewing Thursday from noon until the funeral hour.

ALBANY - The funeral service of Rachel "Kathy" McDonald, 72, of 235 Mossy Oak Drive, Sylvester, GA, who died Sunday, January 8, 2006, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital will be conducted Wednesday, January 10, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Brother Billie McDonald Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Fort Benning Cemetery at 3 p.m.
A native of Sumter County, GA, Mrs. McDonald had resided in Sylvester since 1986, moving from Lee County. She was a waitress and an Albany Herald Carrier. Mrs. McDonald was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, MSGT Billie Chester McDonald, a son, Keith Allan McDonald and two brothers, Jerry Stroud and George Holt.
Survivors include four daughters, April Reardon and husband, Bob of Sylvester, Julia Brookerd and husband, Ryan of Albany, Linda Swain and husband, Eddie of Sylvester and Angela Robison and husband, Tim of Blackshear; two sons, Billie McDonald Jr. and wife, Sheree of Leslie and Mike McDonald and wife, Sandra of Leesburg; four brothers, Frank Faircloth of Dawson, Russell Stroud and wife, Hazel of Lee County, A.B. Stroud and wife, Carol of Lee County and Randy Stroud and wife, Sharon of Lee County; two sisters, Connie Jones and husband, Tommy of Lee County and Shirlene Baker and husband, Tom of Tallahassee, FL; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

FITZGERALD - Carl E. Findley Sr., 88, of Fitzgerald died Monday, January 9, 2006, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Steve Waldorf and the Rev. B.J. Funk officiating. Eulogies by Dr. Carl E. Findley Jr. and Mac Wilcox.
Mr. Findley was born March 24, 1917, in Irwin County to the late Aaron Milton and Gertrude McCurdy Findley. He was retired manager of Halperin's Department Store in Fitzgerald. After retiring, he worked at J Englemann LTD Men's Store in Fitzgerald and the Big Store in Tifton. Mr. Findley served in the United States Army and retired from the Georgia National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion, an avid golfer and a member of Central United Methodist Church. Mr. Findley got great pleasure spending time with his grandsons, enjoyed his daughter, Gloria's home cooking and smoking his pipe on his sons front porch.
Mr. Findley is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Carl E. Findley Jr. and Judy of Sylvester; daughter, Gloria L. Findley of Tifton; two grandchildren, Carl E. Findley III and Aaron Findley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Warren Findley.
The family requests that memorials be made to Central United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 428, Fitzgerald, GA 31750.

James E. Johnson
FITZGERALD - James E. Johnson, 81, of Fitzgerald died Tuesday, January 10, 2006, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2006, at Westside Baptist Church with the Rev. John Forbes and the Rev. Steve Waldorf officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Johnson was born June 10, 1924, in Colquitt County, to the late James E. and Ruby NeSmith Johnson. He lived in the community for the past 43 years from Moultrie. Mr. Johnson retired as office manager for Rainbow Irrigation Systems. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II attaining the rank of sergeant. Mr. Johnson was a member and deacon of Westside Baptist Church, where he was the former church clerk for over 25 years and a former Sunday School teacher. He was a former member of the Gideon's International.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 60 years: Nita Johnson of Fitzgerald; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Betty Lynn Johnson of Fitzgerald; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Larry Wise of Fitzgerald; grandchildren and spouses, Al and JoAnna Johnson of Fitzgerald, Alan Dean of Fitzgerald, Larry and Tiffany Wise of Jacksonville, FL, Andy Johnson of Fitzgerald, Abby and Jason Holt of Fitzgerald and David Wise of Fitzgerald; great-grandson, Austin Johnson of Fitzgerald; brother, Bobby Johnson of Belle Chase, LA.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

DAWSON - Lashaun Mitchell Jr. died Friday, January 6, 2006, at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta, GA.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2006, in the Chapel of Albritten's Funeral Service, 395 Cedar Hill Avenue SE, Dawson, GA.
He will always be a little Angel - never forgotten.
He leaves to mourn his passing, devoted mother and father, Angela Lockett Mitchell and Lashaun Mitchell Sr.; maternal grandparents, Alston Lockett Sr. and Annie Clare Lockett of Dawson, GA; paternal grandparents, Bennie Mitchell and Naomi Mitchell of Dawson, GA; two great-grandparents, Pearlie Mae Mitchell and Tony Mitchell of Dawson, GA; four uncles and three aunts, Serence Mitchell Mitchell of Dawson, GA, S/Sgt. Ernest Lockett and S/Sgt. Angela Lockett of Columbus, GA, Alston Lockett Jr., Detra Ealey Lockett of Albany, GA, Calvin Lockett and Tyneshia Jones Lockett of Dawson, GA; a host of great-uncles and great-aunts and two special devoted cousins, Antwan Jones and Leondrea Lockett, who was with the mother throughout the pregnancy and hospitalization of the infant and a host of other great cousins and friends.

Marjorie Louise Hasty Reese
DAWSON - Marjorie Louise Hasty Reese, 92, of Herod, died on January 10, 2006, at her residence.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Herod Baptist Church with the Rev. Phil Law and the Rev. Emil Askew officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Reese was a lifelong resident of Terrell County, born in Graves, October 12, 1913, daughter of the late Ernest Wesley Hasty and Elizabeth Della Walker Hasty. The family later moved to the Pleasant Hill community where she was raised.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Cecil Henry Reese Sr. of Herod who died in 1997. She was a homemaker and a member of of the Herod Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Cecil H. "Sonny" Reese Jr. of Herod; two daughters, Rebecca Dale Reese Lane of Albany and Mary Jacqueline Reese Kemp of Tallahassee, Fla.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Herod Baptist Church, c/o Sarah Reese, Treasurer, 345 Reese Rd., Dawson, GA 39842 or the American Cancer Society, Terrell Co. Unit, P.O. Box 503, Dawson, GA 39842.
Visitation will be at the family residence on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
