ALBANY - Evelyn Beard Connell, 73, of Albany passed away Sunday morning, March 30, 2003, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hall & Hall Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chuck Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens in Albany.
Mrs. Connell, the wife of the late William Henry Connell Jr. was retired from Coats & Clark with 40 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three sons, Tony Connell of Montgomery, AL, Don Connell and wife, Linda of Albany and Larry Connell and wife, Pam of Sylvester; two brothers, Jeff Beard of Warwick and Ferrell Beard of Selma, AL; five grandchildren, Amber Connell of the US Army, Amanda Connell and Michelle Connell, both of Albany and William K. Connell and Nick Connell, both of Sylvester.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 p.m.-9 p.m.

ALBANY - Doris Anita Newton Corbett, 82, of 107 Dewey Street died Friday, March 28, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at Union Baptist Church with burial in Floral Memory Gardens. The Rev. J.A. Severson will officiate.
A native of Ware County, Mrs. Corbett was a member of Union Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Willie B. (Bill) Corbett Sr. of Albany, GA; three daughters, Betty C. Thomas, Maggie C. Evans and Doris C. (Lon) Carey, all of Albany, GA; two sons, Willie B. (Carlene) Corbett Jr. and William Corbett, all of Albany, GA; four sisters-in-law, Rosa Hines of Albany, GA, Bernice Harden of North Carolina, Dorothy Harden of Ohio, and Georgia Harden of Tennessee; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

ALBANY - T.M. Giddens, 77, of Albany passed away Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sunnyside Free Will Baptist Church in Pearson with the Rev. Edgar Musgrove officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunnyside Church cemetery with the Rev. Leroy Hover officiating at the committal service.
Mr. Giddens, a native of Atkinson County was a retired machinist with Coats & Clark with 31 years of service. He was a member of Church of Church of God of Prophecy.
He was preceded in death by a son, George David Giddens and is survived by his wife of 56 years, Evelyn Morgan Giddens of Albany; son, Wayne Giddens and wife Dian of Albany; brother, A.K. Giddens of Waycross; six sisters, Martha Long of Pearson, Elizann Clement of Pearson, Leona Lewis of Pearson, Cora Belle Pafford of Jacksonville, FL, Dorothy McClean of Alma and Opal Hodges of Jacksonville, FL; two granddaughters, Teresa Giddens and Mandy Giddens, both of Albany.

A native of Franklin County, AL, Mr. Watson had resided in Albany since 1972, moving here from Venus, FL. Mr. Watson was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Watson was the ranch manager of Graham Angus Farms, and had been with the Graham Company since 1949.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Watson, of Albany; a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Darlene Watson of Valdosta; and a granddaughter, Whitney Watson of Valdosta.

MOULTRIE - Lillie Bell Sumner Hannon, 103, of 2900 Sylvester Drive, Moultrie, died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A native of Tift County, GA, Mrs. Hannon was born August 30, 1899. She was a homemaker and a member of Memorial Baptist Church. She was the widow of James Chapman Hannon and was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie Sumner and William Riley Sumner.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Lee Hannon and wife Ann of Camilla; sister, Ethel Gregory of Moultrie; grandchildren, Brendon Hannon and wife Vicki of Valdosta and Loree Cox and husband John of Sylvester; great grandchildren, Lauren Cox, Jordan Cox, Lindsay Hannon and Luke Hannon.

Born May 6, 1920, in Elberton, GA, Mrs. Case had lived in West Palm Beach, Fla., for the past two years, moving there from Sylvester where she had lived since 1984. She was a member of Sylvester Church of God.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth C. (Roger) Sutliff of Miramar, Fla., and Carolyn C. (Gary) Sherman of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a son, James Robert (Bob) Case (Linda) of Sylvester; one brother, J.T. Davis of Ninety Six, S.C.; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Smiley T. Case.
