ALBANY - Stacy Marie Allen, 35, of 2301 Ashford Drive, died Sunday, December 25, 2005 at her home in Albany.
The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors. Miss Allen was born on February 23, 1970 in Great Falls, Montana. She had lived in Albany for the past 25 years.
She will be remembered for always thinking of others. Her loving ways will be missed by her family, friends and pets.
Survivors include her parents, Dr. and Mrs. (Linda) Edwin W. Allen, III; a sister, Tait A. Stoddard and her husband Rob of Birmingham, AL; two brothers, Whit Allen of Chattanooga, TN, Cole Allen of Albany; her paternal grandmother, Kathryn Rooke, Charleston, IL; a niece, Mary Whitaker Stoddard; cousins, Kevin Coley, Paige Coley, Hannah Coley, Lydia Coley, Chaffin Coley, Brandi Turner, Ivey Ketterer, Amy Johnson, and Rikki Allen.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dr. Edwin W. Allen Jr., Roy Willard Coley Sr., and Betty Chaffin Coley.

Dwight Reynolds Foster
ALBANY - The graveside funeral service of Dwight Reynolds Foster, 61, of Upatoi Rd., who died Monday, December 26, 2005, at his residence, will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. (C.S.T.) at Garden Hill Cemetery in Opelika, AL.
A native of Opelika, AL, Mr. Foster had resided in Albany for the past 26 years. He was employed at Miller Brewing Company for 26 years. Mr. Foster was a veteran serving in the Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Allen Foster and Itasta Reynolds Foster.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Foster of Albany; a daughter and her husband, Mandy and Martin Quiroz of Albany; a son, Michael D. Foster of Albany; three brothers, Thomas Foster of Colorado, Quinton Foster of Opelika, AL, and Arnold Foster of Atlanta; two grandchildren, Monica Patricia Quiroz and Michael Tannor Dotson.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

ALBANY - Louise Greggs-Jerry, 70, of 1414 Colquitt Ave., died Monday, December 19, 2005 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Mt. Olive Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Gary Sanders officiating.
Born on June 20, 1935 in Randolph County, GA, Mrs. Jerry was a homemaker and attended Randolph County Public Schools.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Renee Hooper (Hebert) Lakeworth, FL; a son, Mr. Terrance Jerry of Schonaich, Germany; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Hicks of Beltsville, MD, Mrs. Willie Ruth Greggs and Mrs. Grace Martin, both of Albany; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from noon until the funeral hour.

Dorothy Harris-Jackson
ALBANY - Dorothy Harris-Jackson, 77, of 939 Shanover St., San Diego, CA, died Thursday, December 15, 2005 in San Diego.
Funeral services will be held today (Tuesday) at 1 p.m. at Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Lewis Cobb officiating.
Born on April 28, 1928 in Albany, GA, Mrs. Jackson was self-employed owner of a personal care home. She was a former member of Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church and attended Dougherty County Public Schools.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Odessa Jackson of San Diego, CA; one sons, Mr. Eddie Jackson (Bettye) of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Rean Barnes and Mrs. Angeline Reynolds, both of Albany; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family of Mrs. Jackson will receive friends and relatives at the home of her niece, Mrs. Evelyn Barnes of 634 Harmon Ave., Albany.

James Webster Haywood
ALBANY - On Saturday, December 24, 2005, James Webster Haywood died at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
His memorial service will be Wednesday 2 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Finbarr Stanton will officiate. His remains were cremated.
Mr. Haywood was born in Gloversville, New York, on January 23, 1915. He was wed to Dorothy Sacco Haywood on April 25, 1943 in Washington, D.C., where they were involved in the war effort. Mr. Haywood designed optics and weapon systems for the War Office, and Dot was the personal assistant for General Lawton Collins, Commander of Allied Forces, Europe.
After the war, Mr. Haywood opened a pest control business in suburban Washington, D.C. He was blessed with good fortune over the following decades as the growth of the D.C. area boomed. During 1988, Mr. and Mrs. Haywood moved to Melbourne, Florida for retirement.
Mr. Haywood was predeceased by his wife earlier this year. He is survived by his nephew, Richard Sacco, and his wife, Sandra of Albany; and their children, Emily and Carrie Sacco.

Emma Jean Revis-Berry
ALBANY - Emma Jean Revis-Berry, 73, of 818 Flint Ave. died Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday) at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Albany, with interment in Roselawn Garden of Memory Cemetery in Albany. The Rev. Dr. Daniel Simmons will officiate.
Mrs. Berry lived a blessed life. She and her husband, Solomon W. Berry, had 10 children, 8 of whom are still living. We lost him to leukemia in 1970. She retired in the 1980s after a long career as a public school teacher in Georgia and Virginia. Following her retirement, she traveled internationally and she continued to educate young minds as a Sunday School teacher in her church, where she also sang in the Senior Choir and served as President of Mission Circle #3. In addition, she actively managed the family rental properties and farm holdings in Southwest Georgia, where she worked with state and federal agricultural agencies on peanut production allotments to ensure that African American farm owners were treated equitably.
Mrs. Berry also served as a volunteer with community and social services agencies in Albany and was generous in supporting education and social justice activities. During the Albany Movement of the 1960s, she and her family opened their doors to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rev. Andrew Young, Dr. William Anderson, Atty. Donald Hollowell, Rev. Ralph Abernathy, and other Civil Rights leaders who occasionally held strategy meetings and ate some of there meals at the Berry home. Characteristically, on the day of her final morning on earth she cooked one of her much celebrated breakfast meals for herself and two of her children.
A staunch advocate for and supporter of public school education, Mrs. Berry received her Bachelor of Science degree in curriculum and instruction from Albany State University and her Master of Science degree in education from Georgia State University. She completed additional studies at Georgia State University and the University of Georgia. Albany State University recognized her contribution when it honored her with an Alumni Achievement Award.
Mrs. Jean Berry is survived by eight children, Marva Berry, Walter Berry (Kathleen), Kenneth Berry and Ricky Berry (Dorothy) of Albany, Dr. William Berry and Roslyn Berry of Champaign, IL, and Huey Bey Berry and Reginald Berry (Bonnie) of Atlanta. Other survivors include: her stepdaughter, Roselyn Berry (Trent) of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Toy Whitaker of Chicago, IL, Rita North of New York City and Alice Revis of Philadelphia, PA; brother, Cornelius Walter Revis (Margrine) of Newton; loving aunt, Annie BEll Geter of Miami, FL; devoted cousins, J.W. Revis (Alma) of Youngstown, OH, Mary Ann Jeter and Sandy Jeter of Miami, FL; and 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two of her children, Caroline Berry and Atty. Solomon W. Berry II.
The remains of Mrs. Berry will be placed in the church today (Tuesday) morning for viewing from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Ralph Michael Richardson
ALBANY - Ralph Michael Richardson, 46, died Saturday, December 24, 2005.
His funeral service will be today (Tuesday) 2 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Richardson was born in Dawson and grew up in Sasser. He graduated from Albany High School with honors in 1977. He was always willing to help his neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Ellice Richardson, sister, Wynelle Norman and a brother, James Richardson.
Survivors include two sisters, Gayle Hill and her husband Raymond of Cuthbert, and Evelyn Kilgore and her husband Richard of Cuthbert; nieces and nephews, Nathan Hill of Thomasville, Cale Hill of Perry, Kelly Futch of Leesburg, Tracy Kilgore of Shellman, Stacey Davis of Cairo, Zachary Hayes of Albany, Jimmy Norman and Sandra Rutherford, both of Leesburg, Tina Osborne of Albany; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

CUTHBERT - Mildred Bowman Barnes, 86, of Cuthbert, died Saturday, December 24, 2005 at Patterson Hospital in Cuthbert. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Cuthbert United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Thad Haygood and the Rev. Frank Padgett officiating, with interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Cuthbert.
Mrs. Barnes was born April 9, 1919 in Ringgold, GA, the daughter of the late Samuel J. Bowman and Mamie Pallant Bowman. She attended Tift College, received her Bachelor's Degree from Georgia Southern University, and her Master's Degree from Auburn University. She was a retired school teacher, a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, the Cuthbert United Methodist Church and the Cuthbert Historical Society. She was the widow of the Rev. Douglas Roger Barnes.
Survivors include a son, Vance Barnes of Cumming, GA, and a sister, Samie Bowman Nation of Chattanooga, TN.
