The funeral service of Felix Wade, 65, of 175 Westfield Road, Leesburg, GA., died Friday February 11, 2005 in Destin, FL., will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church. Rev. Ken
Chancellor will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill cemetery.
A native of Colquitt, GA., Mr. Wade had resided in Albany for the past forty four years. Mr. Wade was a Vietnam veteran serving both in the Navy and Air Force for twelve years. He was the owner of Wade's Cabinets for over twenty years and had continued to work as a carpenter and conctactor. He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and the Mens Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Sadie Keller Wade, Leesburg, two sons and their wives, Victor F. and Robin Wade of Warner Robins, and Nathan P. and Carrie Wade of Leesburg, a daughter, Karen Marinelli, Leesburg, six grandchildren, Jaime Wade, Joshua Wade, Garrett Wade, Kelsey Wade, Bethany Wade and Aaron Pollock, six sisters, Adale Merkison, Bainbridge, Lou Ellen Walton, Colquitt, Thelma Davis, Eatonton, Minnie Mash, Carrie Majors,Jenny Clay all of Cairo, a brother, Rev. Paul Wade, Flowery Branch.
The family will receive friends today (Sunday) from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

The graveside funeral service of Shannon Scott Griffin, 44, of Irving, Tx., formerly of Albany, who died April 21, 2005, will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Moye will officate.
A native of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, Mr. Griffin had resided in Albany and was a 1979 graduate of Westover High School. Mr. Griffin was a computer specialist, formerly employed with R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.
Survivors include his daughter, Amy Griffin of Albany, his mother, Rebecca Griffin of Albany, his father and stepmother, Clint E. and Mary Jean Griffin of Portland, Tn., and his sister, Crystal Bryan of Chickamauga, GA.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. today at Mathews Funeral Home.

The funeral service of Robert Elijah Hammack, Jr., 80, of 895 Middle Road S, Leesburg, who died Thursday, December 15, 2005, at his residence, will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Thundering Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Calvin King and Rev. Giles Lovejoy will officiate. Interment will follow in Thundering Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic rites.
A native of Houston County, AL, Mr. Hammack had resided in Albany since 1950 before moving to Leesburg in 1974. He was retired from civil service and was currently working as a security guard for D S I Security Services. Mr. Hammack was a member of Thundering Springs Baptist Church and the Men’s Sunday School Class. He was a member of and Past Master of Chehaw Lodge #701, F&AM, he was 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a member of the Hasan Shrine Center.
Survivors include his wife, Foy P. Hammack of Leesburg, a son Robert E. (Butch) Hammack, III, and his wife, Brenda, of Byron, GA, three daughters, Jowanna Hammack of Leesburg, Becky Schweers and her husband, Herman of Ocoee, FL and Teresa Rose and her husband, Mark of Orlando, FL, a sister, Winnie May of Dothan, AL, six grandchildren, Michael Boyd, Melissa Nuckoles, Timothy Rose, Shawn Rose, Amanda Rose and Allison Hammack, and two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Boyd and Joshua Price.
The family will receive friends Saturday (today) from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

The graveside funeral service of Talon Isaiah Dean, infant son of Nollie and Amanda Daniel Dean who died Sunday January 1, 2006 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital will be conducted Thursday 11:00 a.m. at Warwick United Methodist Church Cemetery in Warwick, GA. Rev. Steve Youngblood will officiate.
Survivors in addition to the parents are two brothers, Devon McKay Dean and Braxton Isaiah Dean, a sister,Lexi Freeman, maternal grandparents, Randy and Gerri Daniel, maternal great-grandmothers, Mary Louise Daniel and Carolyn Kennedy all of Leesburg, paternal grandmother, Dell Dean, Yulee, FL., paternal great-grandparents, Allen and Sara Browning, Jacksonville, FL.
The family is at the residence of Randy and Gerri Daniel, 101 Long Pine Dr.., Leesburg.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

The funeral service of Barbara Frances Pollard, of Albany, who died Sunday, January 22, 2006, will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Nathan Godley and Rev. Nancy Scarbrough will officate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.
A native of Polk County, FL., Ms. Pollard grew up in Albany and graduated from Albany High School. She graduated from The Piedmont School of Nursing and received her Masters in Nursing Administration from Emory University. Ms. Pollard served for forty years in nursing and had been associated with various hospitals, including Crawford Long Hospital and Georgia Baptist Hospital, before joining Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a brother and his wife, Reginald and Joan Pollard of Albany, five neices, Regina Dickerson of Isle of Palms, SC., Jo Ellen Testwuide of Vienna, VA., Jody Pollard of Brunswick, GA., Beth Pollard of Smyrna, GA. and Kellie Baker of Cary, NC., two nephews, Charles Pollard of Canton, GA, and Reginald Pollard, Jr. of Albany. Ms. Pollard is also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Those desiring may make contributions to The Albany Humane Society,1705 Oakridge Dr., Albany, GA. 31707.

The funeral service of Audrey Maye Poole, 75, of 3119 Higgins Dr., Albany, who died June 26, 2004, will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Beacon Baptist Church. Rev. Ira Carlisle and Rev. Chuck Auschwitz will officate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.
A native of Calhoun County, Ga., born to Howell Henry Clower and Liska Armstrong Clower, Mrs. Poole had resided in Albany most of her life moving here from Arlington. She was a homemaker and was formerly employed with Sears. Mrs. Poole was a member of Beacon Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class.
Survivors include four daughters, Gail Morrill, Audrey Warren and her husband, Gerald, Gwedolyn Poole and Glenda Giddens and her husband, Mack, all of Albany, two sisters, Joyce Wynette Becker and her husband, Edward of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Billie Faye Tedford of Wichita, Ks., eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Thomas Clower.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. today (Monday) at the funeral home.

Edward Michael Konesky, 52, of 186 Long Dirt Road, Leesburg, died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at his residence. The family visitation and viewing will be held Tuesday (today), June 29, 2004 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in Pemberville, OH.
A native of Toledo, OH, Mr. Konesky had resided in Leesburg since 1995 moving here from Luckey, Ohio. He was a owner/operator with K.O.T. Trucking and was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Gibsonburg, OH.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Konesky and his son Eddie Konesky both of Leesburg, his parents, Edward Louis and Elizabeth Radocy Konesky of Pemberville, OH, one sister and her husband, Beth and Scott Lucas of Bradner, OH, three brothers and their wives, Mark and Elaine Konesky of Cleveland, OH, and Kelly and Kay Konesky, of Risingsun, OH and Phillip (P. J.) and Jennifer Konesky of Genoa, OH and a number of nieces and nephews.

The graveside funeral service of Brian Durand Kovach, infant son of Zachary and Rebecca Kovach, who died Monday, November 1, 2004 will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2004 at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Zachary and Rebecca Kovach, Hampton,VA., a sister, Arwyn Elizabeth Kovach, Hampton, VA., grandparents, Steve and Jenny Kovach, Lee Co., GA, Willis and Dana Hendley, Albany, GA., great-grandparents, Audrey F. and Dorothy McClain, Albany, GA., Ray and Virginia Eads, Flat Rock, NC. and Janet Kovach, Edison, NJ., great-great grandmother, Ruby Statham, Albany, GA. and a great-aunt, Doris Metts, Albany, GA.

The funeral service of Eddie H. Champion, 81, of 137 Pineview Drive, Leesburg, who died Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at his residence, will be conducted Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Byne Memorial Baptist Church. Revs. Charlie Brown and Curtis Champion will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens.
A native of Worth County, Mr. Champion had resided in Albany all of his adult life before moving to Leesburg. He was a retired truck driver with Georgia Highway Express, a Veteran of WWII serving in the Air Force and a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two wives, Garland Lee Champion and Jewell Herren Champion, his parents, Charlie and Alma White Champion and three brothers and six sisters.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Champion of Lee County, Kevin L. Champion and Glenn H. Champion, both of Duluth, GA, two sisters, Gladys Bush of Sylvester and Linnie Sumner of Ray City, GA, five grandchildren, Maria Berg, Lanye Champion, Kayla McCallum, Charlie Champion and Kristi Champion and two great-grandchildren, Courtney Allen and Morgan Berg.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

The graveside funeral service of Edgar Newton Bloodsworth, Sr., 49, of 532 9th. Avenue, who died Friday February 11, 2005 at his residence, will be conducted Monday February 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Poulan City Cemetery. Rev. Daris Cross will officiate.
A native of Butler Co., AL., Mr. Bloodsworth had resided in Albany for the past thirty two years. He was employed with Lewis Tree Service for sixteen years before going with the Water,Gas and Light Department three and a half years ago until his illness. He was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Faye Childers Bloodsworth, Albany, two sons, Edgar (Ed) N. Bloodsworth, Jr. and Brian Bloodsworth both of Albany, two daughters, Melba Brumbley, Baker Co., Cynthia Bloodsworth, Albany, his mother and step-father, Herman and Jean Schofield, Greenville, Al., five brothers, Phillip Bloodsworth, Earl Bloodsworth, James Schofield, John Schofield and Calvin Schofield all of Greenville, Al., three sisters, Mary Yates, Robertsdale, AL., Sarah Owens, Pascagoula, MS. and Marie Cannon, Greenville, AL. and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends (today) Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

The funeral service of Lois Varner of Mitchell County, GA, formerly of Albany, who died May 4, 2005, will be conducted Saturday 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Al Wilbourn and Rev. Edd Spurlock will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.
A native of TyTy, GA, Mrs. Varner graduated from Vienna High School in Dooly County and had lived in Albany since 1948 before moving to Mitchell County a few years ago. She was a beautician for over forty years and worked out of her home on Rosenberg Street. She was the widow of Roy Varner who died in 1978.
Mrs. Varner was a very devoted Baptist and was a member of The First Baptist Church of Putney. She was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church and was most recently attending Central Baptist Church. Mrs. Varner was a kind, loving and humble person and to know her, was to love her.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra V. Duke of Albany and Ann Mock and her husband, Brad, of Mitchell County, two sons and their wives, Marcus Wayne and Rae B. Varner of Middletown, RI, and Roy Lynwood and Cathy Varner of Terrell County, a half-sister, Virginia Bolt of Anderson, SC., four grandchildren, Brandi Nicole Zombro and Dillon Lee Mock both of Mitchell County, Devon Nicole Duke of Albany and Jason Christopher Duke of Griffin, GA, and two great-grandchildren, Cameryn Isiah Mock and Tyler Andrew Zombro.
The family will receive friends Friday (tonite) from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
The family is at the residence of Ann and Brad Mock, 9742 Gravel Hill Rd., Albany, GA, 31705.
