AMERICUS - Christine Law, 95, died Wednesday evening August 11, 2004, at Sumter Regional Hospital in Americus.
Funeral services will be held from the graveside at 2 p.m. Saturday in Oak Grove Cemetery with Dr. Reed Crumbliss and the Rev. Rusty Mauldin officiating.
The family will receive friends at Aldridge Funeral Services today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and at other time at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Muff Martin, 224 Sam Bradley Road, Americus.
Mrs. Law was born the daughter of the late George William Martin and Ruth Pearl Benson Martin on November 3, 1908, in Marion County. She was employed in the business office of Sumter Regional Hospital with the hospital opened and after retirement she continued as a receptionist until age 90. Mrs. Law was a member of First Baptist Church of Americus and was a Worthy Matron with the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Law is survived by two nieces and nephews, Janice Durden of Dublin, Muff Martin and wife, Judy of Americus, Mack Martin and wife, Linda of Americus and Margot Hudson and husband, Bill also of Americus.
Also surviving is a number of great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Law was preceded in death by one niece and nephew, Jo Ann Binson and Jon Martin and her late husband, William Dudley "Bill" Law.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 221 South Lee Street, Americus, GA 31709.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Roy Martin, Ross Martin, Bill Martin, Lindon Hunt, Danny Thomas and Rob Brinson.

Mrs. Lord was born June 3, 1930, in Turner County, Ga., to the late Martha Fletcher Oakes and L. A. "Papa" Oakes. She had lived in Ozark since 1964, and was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin E. Lord Sr.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Jeff Woodham of Panama City, Fla.; three sons and three daughters-in-law, Patrick "Pat" and Pam Lord of Headland, Max and Kathy Lord of Ozark and Calvin and Teri Lord of Crestview, Fla.; one sister, Cee Hardy of Albany, Ga.; three brothers, L. A. Oakes of Pinehurst, Ga., Virgil Oakes of Albany, Ga., and Mack Oakes, Albany, Ga.; grandchildren, Barry and Jeff Woodham, Patrick, Sydni, Lindsey, Calvin, Jonathan David "J.D." Lord and Angela H. Sutton; and one great grandchild, Cali Woodham.

Mr. Murray was the son of the late Drue Parker Murray Jr. and Sara Murray of Plains who survives him. He was retired from Northrop Corporation and IBM Corporation. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Fears Murray of Huntsville, Ala.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lauren Jongeneel and Bruce of Trophy Club, Texas, Marci Butler and Bruce of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and Jessica Murray of Hermitage, Tenn.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherrill House and Bob of Americus, Evanne DiGenti and Vic of Ponte Vedra, Fla.; one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne Murray and Elaine of Macon and six grandchildren.
