ALBANY - The funeral service of Roy H. Turner, 91, of 1022 Edgewater Drive, who died Wednesday, January 1, 2003, will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home with Masonic Rites. The Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. A private entombment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Deepstep, GA, Mr. Turner had lived in Albany for the past 45 years moving from Thomasville, GA. He was the retired owner of Turner Construction and Real Estate Company. Mr. Turner was a past president of The Home Builders Association. He was a member of Dougherty Lodge #591 F&AM and Hasan Shrine Temple.
Survivors include a daughter, Myra Willingham of Albany, GA; a grandson, Roy L. Jamison of Crimora, VA; a great-grandson, Christopher and a step-great-grandson, Jason.

ALBANY - Carrie Mae Walton, 73, of 2708 Astoria Drive died Wednesday, January 1, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Springcreek Baptist Church in Leary with interment in the church cemetery. Willie Moore Jr. will officiate.
A native of Calhoun County, Ms. Walton was a homemaker and a member of Springcreek Baptist Church in Leary. She was educated in the public schools of Calhoun County.

Jackson of Cortland, N.Y., Dorthea (Lucius) Price, Penola (Alva) James, Phyllis (Larry) Jackson, all of Albany, and Pearline Jackson of Leary; six sons, Willie G. (Linda) Jackson, James L. (Annie) Walton of Leary, Eddie J. (Vickie) Walton of Aurora, Colo., Master Sgt. Saul N. (Sharon) Jackson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Phillip H. (Zenetta) Jackson of Denver, Colo., and Curtis N. Walton of Angleton, Texas; one goddaughter, Florence Sims of Albany; two sisters, Josephine Ford of Albany and Eddie L. Rawls of East Amport, N.J.; one brother, Clarence (Gladys) Nelson and one sister-in-law, Rose Nelson, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; 28 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A native of Mitchell County, Mrs. Aldridge was a homemaker and co-owner/operator of Aldridge Bait and Tackle. She was a member of Pelham First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Aldridge Sr. of Pelham; daughter, Dale Prince of Pelham; sons, Ken Aldridge Jr., Carl Aldridge and Daniel Aldridge, all of Pelham; a daughter, Wendy Gee of Pelham; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Jessie Alvin Jones of Mill Valley, Calif., Leonie Jones of Pelham and John Wayne Jones of Boca Raton, FL; sisters, Mary Alice Bourne of Talapoosa and Virginia Sanders of Camilla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Virginia Swearingen Jones and Jessie Carlton Jones.

Born May 29, 1912, in Mitchell County, Mrs. Culpepper was a homemaker and a member of Camilla United Methodist Church. She was married to the late Judge Robert Culpepper Jr. and was the daughter of the late Dr. Forrest L. Lewis Sr. and Mary Clyde Bostwick Lewis.
Survivors include her children, Helen C. Stacey of Atlanta, Mary C. Williams of Tallahassee, FL, Emaly "Lew" C. Conerly of Tallahassee, FL, Robert Culpepper III of Tallahassee, FL, India C. Dennis of Bradenton, FL, and James F. Culpepper of Decatur; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

FOLKSTON - Dr. Joseph Morgan Jackson Jr., 84, of Folkston, GA, passed away Monday, December 30, 2002, at his residence after an extended illness. He was born April 18, 1918, near Wrightsville, GA, to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Morgan Jackson Sr. After graduating from Mercer University, he received his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia. He came to Folkston in 1947, to join Dr. Walter R. McCoy in the medical practice. Dr. Jackson retired December 31, 1993, after practicing medicine for 46 years. He was an active member of the Folkston United Methodist Church and he served as president of the Folkston Lions Club and he was also a member of the Georgia Medical Society.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Lewis Jackson of Folkston; three sons, Dr. Larry Jackson (Nancy) of Waynesboro, Judge Steve Jackson (Pam) of Waycross, Dr. Joseph M. Jackson III (Maureen) of Albany; three daughters, Joanne Jackson Hoffman (Lewis) of Alpharetta, Kish Jackson Stevens (Al) of Folkston, and Amy Jackson Gaston (Greg) of Ashville, NC; and nine grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Folkston United Methodist Church. The Reverend Wayman Cleveland and the Reverend George Durham officiated the services. Memorialization was by cremation.
