The funeral service of Taylor David Yeatts, 79, of 3109 Treasure Avenue, Albany, who died Friday, February 4, 2005, at Palmyra Nursing Home, will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bernie Bannin will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.
A native of Rice, VA., Mr. Yeatts had resided in Albany for the past 55 years, moving from Waycross GA.. He had worked at Coats and Clark for many years and was a retired automobile salesman. Mr. Yeatts was a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran, serving both in The European Theatre and The Pacific Theatre.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel W. Yeatts of Albany, four daughters and their husbands, Sue and Mel Crain of Albany, Betty and Taros Waszkurak of Jackson, MO., Ruth and Bryan Spell and Jeannie and Randy Chastain all of Leesburg. Three sons, Danny D. Yeatts and Ned J. Yeatts and his wife Audrey all of Leesburg, Larry Yeatts and his wife Susan of Pensacola, FL., One brother, Ben Yeatts of Kenbridge, VA., two sisters, Mary Weaver and Bessie Yeatts both of Richmond, VA. and fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

The funeral service of Carl Kenneth Bryant, 68, of 121 Lovers Lane Road, who died Saturday, May 7, 2005 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital will be conducted, Tuesday May 10, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church with full military honors. Revs. John C. Sikes, Rodney Stamey and Edd Spurlock will officiate.
A native of Bainbridge, Decatur Co., GA., Mr. Bryant had resided in Albany since 1971 moving from Charleston, S.C. He was a retired Navy veteran serving during Vietnam and retired from radio graphics at the marine base in 1996. He was a mason and member of Albany Masonic Lodge # 24 F & AM, the Crusaders Sunday School Class and Central Baptist Church. Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by six brothers, J.W. Bryant, Rufus Bryant, Robert Bryant, Roy Bryant, Elton Bryant and Melvin Bryant and a sister, Irene Bryant
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Dyer Bryant, Albany, GA., a son Mark Joseph Bryant, Mesquite, TX., two daughters and their husbands, Stephanie Bryant Rabal and Robert, Terrell, TX., Ashley Bryant Mixon and Matt, Dahlonega, GA., a sister and her husband, Mary Bryant Sikes and Carr, Albany, GA., and five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service of Jerry Rufus (Dickie) Frazier, 61, of Albany, who died Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at his residence, will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Pastor Caryl Martinez will officiate. Interment will follow in Meigs City Cemetery.
A native of Colquitt County, GA, Mr. Frazier had resided in Dougherty County since 1960 moving here from Thomasville. He was a Veteran of the National Guard serving during Vietnam and attended Bible Baptist Church. Mr. Frazier was preceded in death by a brother, Murray Frazier.
Survivors include his son, Scott Randall Frazier and two daughters, Angela Jean Frazier and Tammy Teresa Frazier, all of Leesburg, mother, Martie F. Frazier of Albany, mother of his children, Peggy Gorman of Preston, GA, five sisters, Martha Castleberry of Albany, Maryeaster Benton of Albany, Gladys Banner and Effie Taylor, both of Leesburg, Jo Fleming of Albany and Sarah Hendricks of Moultrie, seven grandchildren, Tiffany Anderson, Nathan Anderson, Randall Frazier, Anna Harris, Kevin Harris, Joseph Harris and Shandy Harris.

George W. Turner, Sr. of 1002 Third Avenue, Albany, died Thursday, June 3, at his residence after an extended illness. During this time, he received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and became a member of the body of Christ.
The graveside entombment service will be held Saturday, June 5, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at Leesburg Cemetery in Leesburg, GA. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.
George was born November 1, 1927, in Lee County, the son of Henry LaDonne Turner and Christine Sadler Turner, both deceased.
He attended Leesburg schools and graduated from Riverside Military Academy in 1945. Following his graduation, he served in the United States Army.
George attended Auburn University where he was president of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He graduated in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.
He began his career with First State Bank of Albany, GA, and advanced to Vice President during his 27 years at the bank. He was a member of the Georgia Bankers Association, the Kiwanis Club and the Heart Association.
His hobbies were hunting, golfing, collecting antiques, and wood working. He was known for his talent as a master wood craftsman. George was a grizzly bear on the outside but a teddy bear on the inside.
Survivors include a son, William Turner, Jr. of Marietta, a daughter Jan Turner Phillips of Albany, his former wife, Jane Horne Turner and six grandchildren: Gina, John and Savannah Turner of Marietta, Ryan Phillips of Birmingham, AL, and Allison and Collin Phillips of Albany.
Preceding George in death was a brother, Henry LaDonne Turner, Jr. Surviving siblings are Sylvia Turner Peterson of Albany, and Lawrence Turner and his wife Cathy of Lee County and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday (today) from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

A native of Quitman County, GA, Mr. Perkins had resided in Albany since 1968 moving here from Worth County. He was an Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and retired as a truck driver in 1987 from Dairyman, Inc. Mr. Perkins' hobbies were fishing, planting and working in his garden and spending time with his grandchildren. He attended Berean Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Perkins and two sons, William Myron Perkins and Allen Lee Perkins, all of Albany, three daughters and their husbands, Belinda and Glen Bell, Deborah and Allen Phillips and Wonnie and Paul Schubert, all of Worth County, a brother and his wife, Clifford G. and Juanita Perkins of Cuthbert, a sister and her husband, Cleo and Jim Melton of Dawson, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A native of Mt. Dora, FL, Mr. Bartlett had resided in Lee County before moving to Worth County in 1998. He was retired from United Refrigeration as warehouse foreman and was a member of Kinchafoonee Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Bartlett of Worth County, one son, Mark Lance Bartlett of Albany, one daughter, Jerri Roszak of Jacksonville, FL, his mother, Iona Bartlett of Albany, a sister, Rosalind Ritter of Albany, three grandchildren, Paige Bartlett, Todd Roszak and Robin Roszak.

A native of Decatur County, GA, Mr. Eidson had resided in Albany for the past 52 years moving here from Vada, GA. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Eidson was the retired owner of Eidson Paint and Body Shop and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Sue Eidson of Albany, two sons, Ricky Eidson and Rex Eidson and his wife, Melissa, all of Albany, a daughter, Angie Deese and her husband, Tony, of Oakfield, a brother, Curtis Eidson and his wife, Louise, of Paxton, FL, two sisters, Mavis Cook of Whigham, GA, and Jeanette Newsome of Bainbridge, two grandchildren, Shane Phillips of Leesburg and Adrienne Phillips of Albany and great-grandson, Kolby Phillips.

A native of Early County, GA, Mr. Jarrett had resided in Albany since 1956 moving from Blakely, where he was a graduate of Early County High School. He was employed by Bruce Jones Company for many years and retired in 1993 from Goodyear Tire Company as a commercial sales representative. Mr. Jarrett was a member and Deacon of Calvary Baptist Church where he was a member of the Men's Bible Class and was Treasurer for over forty years.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Pat Jarrett of Albany, a son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Rhonda Jarrett of Sylvester, two daughters and their husbands, Kay and Russell Martin of Albany and Karla and Greg Langston of Auburn, AL., four brothers and their wives, Clinton and Frances Jarrett of Seattle, WA., Ewell and Joyce Jarrett of Blakely, GA, J. O. and Christine Jarrett of Stockbridge, GA and Rudy and Ann Jarrett of Blakely, GA, two sisters and their husbands, Sylvia and Charles Palmer of Decatur, GA and Winita and James Parr of Stockbridge, GA, three grandchildren, Jarrett Martin, Allie Langston and Hayden Langston.

A native of Ashburn, GA, Mrs. Perryman had resided in Grand Bay, AL, for the past five years moving from Jacksonville, FL. She was a homemaker and a of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Perryman was preceded in death by her parents, James Alexander Black and Emily Brooks Black, her sister, Grace Hatcher-Hess and brother, Leonard Hatcher.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Richard Perryman of Grand Bay, AL two daughters, Sheila DeLeon of San Antonio, TX and Emily Johnson of Pensacola, FL, three grandchildren, Alex DeLeon and Isaac DeLeon, both of San Antonio, TX and Cody Johnson, of Pensacola, FL two sisters, Wynelle Cannon of McDonough, GA and Sandra Cronin of Farmsville, TX, a brother, Irvin Hatcher of Sylvester, GA and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
