UNADILLA - Graveside services for Skylor Nicole Dowdy, infant daughter of Melony and Charles Dowdy of Atlanta, will be held today at 11 a.m. in the Crossroad Cemetery in Unadilla. Supt. J.E. Hogan will officiate.
Skylor died Tuesday, January 7, 2003, in an Atlanta hospital.
Other survivors include two sisters, Kieyana Dowdy and Taylor R. Dowdy; grandparents, Emma J. Cooley, Charles Dowdy, Patricia Dowdy, Edward Jackson and Mary Jackson.

UNADILLA - Funeral services for Charlene Woodson Ford of Unadilla will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Healing & Deliverance Holiness Church in Unadilla. The burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Prophet Essie M. Williams will officiate.
Mrs. Ford died Sunday, January 5, 2003, at her residence. She was a former employee of Tyson Foods, a member of the Healing & Deliverance Holiness Church and a graduate of Unadilla High School Class of 1978.
Survivors include her husband, Marcus L. Ford of Unadilla; her mother and stepfather, Jeannie Mae and Eunice McKenzie of Unadilla; four sisters, Valarie (Donnie) Brown of Unadilla, Carolyn Daniels, Karen Woodson and Kathryn (Adrian) Oliver, all of Vienna; four stepbrothers; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; mother-in-law; father-in-law and a host of other relatives.
The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m.

COLQUITT - Grover Carroll Jones, 77, of Tallahassee, FL, formerly of Damascus, died Wednesday, January 8, 2003, at Hospice House in Mahan Center in Tallahassee, FL.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Bradfordville First Baptist Church, 6494 Thomasville Rd., Tallahassee, FL, with the Rev. Mark O. Wilbanks officiating.
Family and friends will gather at Colquitt Funeral Home at 2:15 p.m. Saturday for a 3 p.m. graveside service at Tabb Cemetery with full military honors. Dr. Robert McMillan will officiate.
A native of Early County, Mr. Jones was born February 7, 1925. He had retired from the U.S. Navy as a Lt. Commander. During his military service, he was an aviator, flying dive bombers and Super Constellations as a Hurricane Hunter. He also served as a Public Information Officer. He was Executive Director of the Pensacola Convention and Visitors' Bureau from 1964-1969. In 1969, he became the first Chief of the Bureau of Aviation of the Florida Department of Transportation, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church of Tallahassee, FL.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Smith Jones of Tallahassee, FL; daughter, Carol Gentry of Atlanta; son and daughter-in-law, James and Kip Jones of Atlanta; granddaughter, Julie Silverstein of Pass-A-Grille Beach, FL; three stepdaughters and step sons-in-law, Valerie and Mike Reynolds of Tallahassee, FL, Kim and Jaime Kendrick of Orlando, FL, and Alicia and Chris Wilson of Cypress, Texas; four step grandchildren, Dustin and Darin Reynolds of Tallahassee, FL, and Shannon and Aaron Wilson of Cypress, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Debbie Phillips of Orlando, FL; many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacqueline "Bunny" Jones; four brothers and a sister.
Active pallbearers will be a military guard.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. today at their home, 2909 Bayshore Drive, Tallahassee, FL.

TIFTON - Audra Mae W. Pritchett, 98, of Tifton died Tuesday, January 7, 2003, at Sylvester Health Care.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Salem Baptist Church with interment in Omega Cemetery. The Rev. Hayward Tomblin and the Rev. Jimmy Odum will officiate.
The grandsons will serve as pallbearers and the deacons of Salem Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
A native of Lamar County, Texas, Mrs. Pritchett was born August 7, 1904. She lived most of her life in Irwin and Tift Counties. She was a homemaker and a member of Salem Baptist Church where she was the oldest member. She delivered many babies; was a community caregiver; was active in her church and was always "fine as frog's hair." She was a loving and devoted mother, friend and neighbor. She loved everyone, her church family and more than anything else, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Claude E. (Buddy) and Bonnie Pritchett of Columbus and Herman Willis (Kevin) and Sherry Pritchett of Snellville; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Lois Elizabeth Frazier of Alexandria, AL, Theo Evans of Albany, Jimmie Geraldine and Barzell Feazell of Oxford, AL, and Jolene and Namon Willis of Tifton; three sisters, Minnie Hawkins of Jonesboro, Nettie Lankford of Dayton, Oregon, and Dorothy Ross of Tyler, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claudus Franklin Pritchett who died in 1988; parents, Clark Jefferson Wolf and Hattie Elizabeth Ladyman Wolf; an infant daughter, Audra Elouise Pritchett; two brothers, Joseph (Joe) Wolf and Charles Wolf; two sons-in-law, Troy Evans Jr. and S.V. Frazier and a grandson, Danny Larkin Evans.
The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted or donations to Salem Baptist Church Building Fund or Community Hospice of Albany.

COLQUITT - Thomas Bluford "Bud" Spence, 81, of Colquitt died Wednesday, January 8, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Flat Creek Baptist Church with interment in Flat Creek Baptist Church cemetery with military honors. The Rev. David Coggins and the Rev. Robert Johns will officiate.
James Burch, Pat Burch, Chris Johnson, Josh Roland, Toby Spence and Gabe Spence will serve as active pallbearers. Jayson Simpson, Jeffrey Roland, Dale Powell and Ralph Rutledge will serve as honorary pallbearers.
A native of Miller County, Mr. Spence was born February 20, 1921. He was a retired farmer and a U.S. Army WW II veteran where he was awarded the WW II Victory Ribbon. He was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Roy Burch of Donalsonville, Joan and Don Simpson of Colquitt and Jennifer and Jeff Roland of Colquitt; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Daphine Spence of Colquitt and Danny and Gayle Spence of Colquitt; one brother, Alvin Spence of Americus; two sisters, Eleanor Hand of Colquitt and Gladys Lowery of Americus; 17 grandchildren, James Burch, Susan Stinson, Amy Taylor, Patrick Burch, Becky Gordon, Toby Spence, Tommie Sue Standiferd, Gabe Spence, Dana Powell, Julia Rutledge, Tiffany Spence, Chris Johnson, Laura Fountain, Jayson Simpson, Lesley Littlefield, Josh Roland and Jeffrey Roland; 21 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Spence was preceded in death by his wife, Rena Braswell Spence and one brother, Bob Spence.
Visitation will be 7 p.m.-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
