ALBANY - Mary Elizabeth Robinson, 72, of 613 Willard Avenue died Thursday, January 16, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Austin & Taylor Mortuary. The Rev. Richard Jordan will officiate.
Ms. Robinson was born April 2, 1930. She was educated in the Dougherty County School System and was a member of New Union Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include a devoted sister, Minnie Pearl Kearson and a devoted brother, Walter Samuel James.

MOULTRIE - Teddy Leon "Ted" Odom, 41, of 2797 Mitchell County Line Road, Hartsfield, died Sunday, January 19, 2003 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m. at Funston Baptist Church, with interment following in Meigs Cemetery. The Revs. Ron Shiver and Donald Suggs officiating.
Pallbearers are Willie Connell, Ben Fuller, Todd Walden, Steven Walden, Randy Knight, Stephan Payne, Ran Wilson and Wayne Payne.
Born in Colquitt County on September 15, 1961 Mr. Odom was the son of Retha Lamb Odom and the Rev. Charles Odom of Moultrie. Ted was owner and operator of Ted Odom Construction Company. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Cathy Danforth Odom, a son, Charles "Chuck" Lewis Odom of Hartsfield, a daughter, Lana Nicole Odom and Jonathan David Morris, all of Hartsfield; sisters, Lisa Ann Odom Sheffield, Retha Rebekah "Becky" Lay and Donna Lynn Hodnett Odom, all of Moultrie and Mary Ellen Odom Brady of Vidalia; and grandmothers, Linda Odom of Meigs and Irene Lamb of Hartsfield.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

OCILLA - Louise Henderson Willis, 91, of Ocilla, died Saturday, January 18, 2003 at Beverly Health Care in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today (Monday) at the Ocilla Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Otis McGee officiating. Interment will follow in the Ocilla Cemetery.
Mrs. Willis was born July 26, 1911, to the late Gene Henderson and Mae Paulk Henderson. She is the wife of the late Dr. Gabe W. Willis. Two sisters, Sarah Frances Henderson and Loyce F. Henderson, preceded her in death. Mrs. Willis attended Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and was a retired register nurse. She was employed at Georgia Baptist Hospital for 14 years and also worked in Fitzgerald at Ben Hill County Hospital and Dorminy Medical Center, Irwin County Hospital and Beverly Nursing Home in Tifton. Mrs. Willis was a member of the Ocilla Primitive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Willis is survived two sisters, Ida Nell H. Tucker of Ocilla and Kathleen H. Floyd of Albany; and two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

EAST ALTON, Ill. - Kay Beavers Lowe, 58, formerly of Dawson, GA, left us and went home with Jesus at 9:05 P.M. Monday, January 13, 2003, at Alton Memorial Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
Family visitation was Saturday at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, ILL. There will be no funeral service.
Born November 1, 1944, in Americus, GA, to the late James and Lora (Lane) Beavers, Mrs. Lowe married Wayne Lowe, December 11, 1970. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend, and also an outstanding poet.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Lowe; six children and their spouses, Valerie Lowe of East Alton, ILL, Jackie and Ken Collins of Burleson, TX, Michael and Tina Springman of Mitchell, ILL, Tracy and Dawn Springman of East Alton, ILL, Rusty and Kim Springman of East Alton, ILL, Katrinna Lowe of Wood River, ILL; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; her aunt, Delma Johnson of St. Simons Island, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Charlie Bauch of Stewart, FL; and brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Nancy Beavers of Leesburg, GA.

SYLVESTER - Jesse Lee Thompson, 83, of Shingler, died Sunday, January 19, 2003, at his residence.
The remains have been cremated and no service will be held at this time.
A native of Fulton County, Mr. Thompson was born February 21, 1918. He had lived in Worth County since 1987, moving here from Snellville. He had retired after 40 years with Colonial Stores as a butcher. Mr. Thompson's parents were the late Ross Thompson and Cleo Williams Thompson. He was the widower of Ruth Lumpkin Thompson.
Survivors include a son, Mercer Thompson of Snellville; three grandsons; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cecil and Edith Lumpkin of Shingler, Milton and Dori Lumpkin of Lizella, Flora L. A native of Pierce County, he was a pipe fitter, an avid hunter and a member of Twin Rivers Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Roy Rowell and Allen Branch.
