UNADILLA - Funeral services for Georgia Mae "Tob" Mitchell of Vienna will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Free Providence Baptist Church in Vienna. Burial in Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery, Unadilla. The Rev. W.G. Carter will officiate.
Mrs. Mitchell, 69, died Thursday, January 16, 2003, in a local nursing home. She was a native of Crisp County, the daughter of the late Dock Jordan Sr. and Hanna Lewis Jordan. She was the widow of J.B. "Pop" Mitchell, a member of Free Providence Baptist Church where she served on the usher board.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane (Eddie) Henry of Warner Robins and Georgia M. (Alfred) Smith of Vienna; three sons, Napoleon Jordan of Jackson, Freddy Mitchell of Byromville and Alonza Mitchell of Little Creek, VA; four stepchildren; one brother, Willie J. Jordan of Jacksonville, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law and other relatives.

Mr. Turner was born in Mitchell County, GA, November 8, 1947, to the late Edward Kenneth Turner Sr. and Rosolyn Poss Turner. He was an auto part specialist . He was a veteran of Vietnam where he received three bronze service stars, and the Vietnam Cross of Galantry with palms. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include two sons, Eric Turner and Shawn Turner of Portland, Oregon; grandmother, Jewel Poss of Pelham; five grandchildren, one great-grandson; one daughter, Vicki Stockton of Whigham and loving companion Lucy Turner of Camilla.

A native of Albany, Mrs. Cooper was a homemaker and a life long member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rear Admiral Jacob Elliott Cooper in 1974 and her daughter, Ann Cooper Whitesel.
She is survived by her three grandchildren, Elizabeth Parrott and her husband, John of New Orleans, LA, Laura Killion of Cary, NC, and Thomas K. Whitesel III of Minneapolis, MN; six great-grandchildren.

A native of Pullman, WA, Craig had lived in Albany most of his life. He attended St. Teresa's Schools, was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church, graduated from Albany High School in 1989, and also from Darton College. He was a corporal and school resource officer with the City of Leesburg Police Department where he had worked for the past five years.
Survivors include his parents, Jack and Carolyn Steele of Albany; a sister, Rebecca Long of Albany; a brother, Jeff Steele of Albany; a grandmother, Kathleen Botts of Albany and niece, Julia Long of Albany.
A prayer service will be held Sunday, 6 PM at Kimbrell-Stern with visitation to follow until 8 PM.

ALBANY - The graveside service of John Robert Williams Sr., 78, of 214 Glendale Road, Leesburg, GA, who died Friday January 24, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at the Shellman City Cemetery. The Rev. Charle Brown and the Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.
Mr. Williams was a native of Calhoun County and had lived in the Albany and Leesburg area since 1980. He was a retired general superintendent with Oxford Construction Company. He was a member of Morgan Baptist Church and was a WW II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Eubanks (Mama Jean) Williams of Leesburg; a son, John Robert Williams Jr. of Opelika, AL; a daughter, Deborah Brandon of Americus; a stepson, Chuck Botkin and his wife, Cheryl of Lee County; two stepdaughters, Wanda Langley and her husband, Jimmy and Cathy Noel, all of Lee County; a sister, Martha Ann Kemph of Americus, GA; eight grandchildren.

DONALSONVILLE - We regret to announce the passing of April Christine Cross, 77, of the Saffold Community in Jakin, GA, who passed away Thursday evening, January 23, 2003, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cross was born April 1, 1925, to the late T.T. and Maggie Dickson Smith. She was a homemaker, a member of Unity Church of God, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving husband of 59 years, Mack Cross of Jakin, GA; four sons, Louie Cross, Buddy Cross and wife Pat, J.M. Cross and wife Angie, and Robin Cross, all of Donalsonville; three daughters, Faye Rutledge, Mabel Shiver and husband Ronnie, and Sara Cook and husband, Roger and a daughter-in-law, Elaine Cross, all of Donalsonville, GA; two brothers, Russell Smith and wife, Lillian and Lynn Smith and wife, Marie of Donalsonville; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jill Cook in 1993. She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Evelyn Hobbs, Inez Benton, Geraldine Halks, Reba Enfinger, and Juanita Ingram, as well as four brothers, John Smith, Bob Smith, Bill Smith and Duke Smith.
Pallbearers will be Brad Cross, Ralph Rutledge, Dale Cross, David Cross, Matt Cross, Waylon Cross, Stacy Cross and Les Shiver.
