Mr. Bailey was born July 19, 1938.

ALBANY - The graveside funeral service of Annie Ruth Barfield, 90, of 510 Pretoria Road, Lot 1, Albany, who died Tuesday, January 28, 2003, was conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Pine Level United Methodist Church cemetery in Macon.
A native of Macon County, Mrs. Barfield had resided in Albany since 1964. She was the widow of Glenn E. Barfield, a homemaker and a member of Pine Level United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Charlie Herbert Hogg of Marshallville and Thomas Claude Hogg of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

ALBANY - The memorial service for Stanton Ray Burdette, 59, of 9636 Appian Way, Baconton, who died Thursday, January 30, 2003, will be held at 2 p.m. today at his residence.
A native of Columbus, Mr. Burdette had lived in Baconton for the past 16 years. He was an appliance tech supervisor. Mr. Burdette was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Jackson Burdette and Mary Magdalene Temple Burdette.
Survivors include four daughters, Bonnie Gray of Lancaster, TX, Rebecca Ann Moreland of Newnan, Tracy Rae Luna of Tallahassee, FL, and Mary Ann Holmes of Baconton; two sons, Mike Burdette of Baconton and William Eugene Burdette of Adairsville; sister, Jackie Schebal of Sebastian, FL; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a special friend, Glenda Fuller of Baconton.

ALBANY - The memorial service for Ruth Mae Jenkins, 69, of 2510 Brierwood Drive, Albany, who died Thursday, January 30, 2003, will be held 1 p.m. Sunday at her residence.
A native of Surry County, North Carolina, Mrs. Jenkins had lived in Albany since 1965. She was a homemaker and of the Church of the Nazarene Faith. Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her parents, James M. Hutchins and Alta Eads Hutchins.
Survivors include, her husband, Alton W. Jenkins of Albany; a son, Stoney Jenkins of Albany; two daughters, Sandy Leonhard of Dayton, Ohio, and Tonia Cox of Albany; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

ALBANY - Matthew J. McCoy, 89, of Albany died Thursday, January 30, 2003, at Palmyra Nursing Home following a brief illness.
His funeral service will be Monday 11 a.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Crown Hill Mausoleum. The Rev. Finbarr Stanton will officiate.
A native of Philadelphia, PA, Mr. McCoy had lived in Albany since 1952 when Merck transferred him to help open the Albany Plant. He retired from Merck in 1976 with 43 years of service. Mr. McCoy was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He served as a volunteer with the Dougherty/Lee Unit of the American Cancer Society. An avid golfer and athlete, he was a member of Radium Springs Country Club and in his youth he was a champion sculler with Schuykill Boathouse in Philadelphia, PA.
A devoted family man, he leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 61 years: Nora McCoy of Albany; two sons, Matt McCoy Jr. and his wife Ann Turner of Atlanta, Michael McCoy and his wife Carol of Gainesville, FL; two daughters, Mary Mauldin and her husband Jim of Jonesboro, GA, Noreen McRae and her husband Bill of Plano, TX: nine grandchildren, Erin Sjostrom, Chann McRae, Shannon McCoy, Christi McRae, Matthew McCoy III, Cadet Sean McCoy, USMA, Katie McCoy, Alex Mauldin, Kevin McCoy; four great-grandchildren, Kylie, Maggie, Henna, Will; two brothers, Joseph J. McCoy of Redding, PA, Bernard J. McCoy of Franklin, MA.
A prayer service will be held at Kimbrell-Stern Sunday at 7 PM with visitation to follow until 9 PM.

ALBANY - Lawrence Lee Reddick Sr., 82, of 3302 MLK Jr. Drive died Monday, January 27, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

A native of Arlington, Mr. Reddick was retired from the Marine Corps Logistics Base. He was an Army veteran. He attended the public schools of Calhoun County. He was a member of the American Legion Post 512 and Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Engram; three daughters, Joyce Reddick and Lois Reddick, both of Albany, and Fannie Richards of Bronx, N.Y.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, John Reddick of Arlington; nieces and nephews.

SYLVESTER - James A. Rewis, 71, of 660 Sumner Road South, Sumner, died Thursday, January 30, 2003, at his son's residence in Mitchell County.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pine Forest Baptist Church with interment in Pine Forest Cemetery. The Revs. Brad Hughes and the Rev. Gene Snipes will officiate.
Born September 16, 1931, in Worth County, Mr. Rewis was retired after 20 years from Marine Corps Logistics Base and was also formerly employed by Coats & Clark of Albany for 15 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and also retired from the Army National Guard. He was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church where he sang in the choir.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Brooks Rewis of Sumner; sons, Norman W. Rewis and James NeSmith, both of Baconton; brother, Charlie Rewis of Poulan; sister, Geraldine Haynes of Georgetown; granddaughter, Brittany Michelle Rewis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearlie and Mattie Fussell Rewis and a son, Gordon Rewis, January 19, 1995.
The family will receive friends today from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Banks Funeral Home.

ALBANY - Wilson H. Waldron, 90, of 1901 Gail Ave., died Friday, January 31, 2003, at his residence.
A memorial service will be held Monday, 11 AM at Kimbrell-Stern with interment at a later date. The remains have been cremated. Mr. John Ogburn will officiate.
A native of Ochlocknee, GA, Mr. Waldron worked with the United States Government in the Panama Canal Zone as a supervisor of the Automotive Paint and Body Division. He moved to Albany in 1972 after retiring with 32 years of service.
Survivors include a wife, Nell Waldron of Albany; a daughter, Helen Ogburn and her husband John of Albany; a brother, Roland Waldron and his wife Clarine of Cairo, GA; two sisters, Arlene Musselwhite of Jacksonville, FL, and Jewel "Elva" Hobby of Daytona Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -Chris Brown Howell, 36, died Thursday, January 30, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Michael A. Howell.

She was a native of Bainbridge, GA, and had moved back to Tallahassee, FL, in 2000, from St. Louis, MO. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bainbridge and a graduate of Auburn University. She was a loving wife and mother.
