The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Church of the Living Word in Albany with interment in New Provisor Baptist Church cemetery. The Rev. Janie Rambeau will officiate.
Born May 6, 1964, in Albany, Mr. Whitfield was a job trainer for American Work Inc. He attended Dougherty County public schools and was a member of House of Refuge Baptist Church in Albany.
Survivors include two sisters, Suzanne Walls of Albany and Kesha Whitfield of Leesburg; six brothers, Benjamin Whitfield, Roy Whitfield, Marcello Whitfield and Albert Whitfield, all of Leesburg, Kennie Price and John Arthur Whitfield, both of Albany.

ASHBURN - Luetish Allen, 92, of 303 Mulberry Street, Ashburn, died Tuesday, February 4, 2003, at Fitzgerald Nursing Home.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ashburn with interment in Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn. The Rev. Michael Walker will officiate.
A native of Dooly County, Ms. Allen was born October 20, 1910. She was a farm helper. She was a member of Martha Chapter #2, OES, Ashburn, with lifetime membership in Order of Eastern Star. She was also a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ashburn.
Survivors include her son, Fred Allen Jr. of Ashburn; two daughters, Flora Perry and Loretta Jones, both of Fitzgerald; one sister-in-law, Ola Mae Hudson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

CUTHBERT - Robert Earl Bonner, 55, of Cuthbert died Wednesday, February 5, 2003, at his residence. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. from First Baptist Church of Cuthbert. The Revs. Tom McLendon, David Howe, Tracy Brinson and Rick Garrett will officiate. Interment will be in East View Cemetery in Cuthbert.
Mr. Bonner was born July 28, 1947, in Early County, son of Inez Rogers Bonner of Cedar Springs and the late Earl Bonner. He was Sgt. First Class-Post Commander of the Perry Post of The Georgia State Patrol, was a member of First Baptist Church of Cuthbert, POAB and Police Benevolent Association, and was an US Air Force (Vietnam) veteran. Mr. Bonner attended Andrew College, LaGrange College and graduated from Columbus College with a degree in criminal justice.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Laye Bonner of Cuthbert; four sons, Bryan Bonner and his wife Stacey of Columbus, Tommy Bonner and his wife Tanya of Cuthbert, Steven Bonner of Cuthbert and Chuck DeVane of Chattanooga, TN; a daughter, Tiffany DeVane of Shellman; three brothers, Edgar Bonner of Tallahassee, FL, Wayne Bonner of Panama City, FL, and Ricky Bonner of Mobile, AL; two sisters, Gail Gandy of Eufaula, AL, and Sharon Riley of Blakely; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Phil Bonner.

Mrs. Branan was born March 27, 1913, in Randolph County, daughter of the late Wesley B. Commander and Katie Joiner Commander. She was a retired beautician and a member of First Baptist Church of Shellman. She was preceded in death by her husbands, W.T. Johnston, Mack Sealy and Alton Branan.
Survivors include three daughters, Vicki S. Barron and Stonna S. Boyette of Blakely and Betty Ann S. Wilkerson of Albany; a brother, Raymond Commander of Albany; a sister, Comer Griffin of Hurtsboro, AL; three nieces and eight great-nieces and nephews.

DAWSON - James Edward Lamberth, 84, of Bronwood died at his residence Wednesday, February 5, 2003. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Dawson with John Ogburn officiating. Burial will be in the Bronwood Cemetery.
Mr. Lamberth was a native of Dooly County, born September 18, 1918, son of the late William Lamberth and Beatrice Collier Lamberth. He had lived in Terrell County since 1974, he was a retired farmer and a member of the Dawson Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was the husband of the late Katherine Bailey Lamberth of Bronwood who died in 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Edward E. Lamberth and Billy R. Lamberth, both of Bronwood; a daughter, Janice Lynn Lamberth of Bronwood; a brother, Harvey Lamberth of Americus; and two sisters, Annie Bozeman of Perry and Velma Williford of Gray.

ELLAVILLE - Jesse M. McLendon, 87, Schley County died early Thursday morning, February 6, 2003, at Sumter Regional Hospital in Americus.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Americus with burial to follow in Ellaville Cemetery. The Reverend Jarrell Lillard, Dr. Aubrey Alsobrook, and the Reverend Bill Dupree will officiate.
Mr. McLendon was born September 12, 1915, in Schley County, the son of Jesse McLendon and Mary Evelyn Teele McLendon. Mr. McLendon was a prominent farmer in the LaCrosse Community. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II as a Tail Gunner on B17, he was stationed in England and made twenty eight missions over Europe and received the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. McLendon was a member of First United Methodist Church of Americus, the Epworth Sunday School Class, the American Legion, Post 191, of Ellaville and the Kiwanis Club of Americus.
Mr. McLendon is survived by his wife, Imogene Owen McLendon; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Jim Gawlas of Berkeley Lake and Jean and Mike Harrison of Albany; two granddaughters, Joni and Ashley Harrison, both students of Georgia Tech; one sister, Minnie Jewel Peek of Andersonville and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home.

Mr. Rice was born August 25, 1942, in Richland County SC. He was the son of the late Delhmer Rice and Mildred Grund Rice. Mr. Rice was a nurse anesthetist. He was a United States Navy veteran having served in Vietnam. He was nondenominational in his faith.
