The funeral service of Geraldine Brazel Kierce, 75, of 1209 Waddell Avenue, who died Friday January 13, 2006 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital will be conducted Monday January 16, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. Ronald R. Baxley and Rev. Melvin Moody will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Holmes County, FL, Mrs. Kierce had resided in Albany for the past fifty five years. She was retired from MacGregor Golf and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Gene Kierce, Albany, GA., a son Tony Kierce, Griffin, GA., a daughter, Lawana Kierce Frey and her husband Tom of Jacksonville, FL., four grandchildren, Ami Screen, Brandon Kierce, Lacy Frazier and Matt Kierce, four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Cortnie, Nathan and Kierce.

The funeral services of Van H. Warren, 58, 1400 W. Gordon Ave, Albany who died Sunday, July 25, 2004 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday,July 27, 2004 at Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. in Leila Methodist Church Cemetery, Omega, Ga.
A native of Tift County Ga. Mr. Warren had resided in Albany since 1966. He was a heavy equipement mechanic with Yancey Brothers, formerly The Carlton Company. Mr. Warren was an US Army Veteran and was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Tift County. He was preceded in death by his parents, G.W. Warren and Claudia Sinclair Warren, a brother, Lynwood Warren.
Survivors include four sisters, Corinne Rentfrow of Albany, Dorothy Tyson and her husband, Leroy of Albany, Janice Stephens and her husband Bill of Omega and Faye Childers and her husband Larry of Tifton; two brothers, Wayne Warren and his wife Norma of Omega and James Warren and his wife Marcelline of McCaysville, Ga. Several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. unitl funeral time.

The funeral service of Ruth Beatrice Degteroff, 91, of 1159 Georgia Avenue, Dawson, who died Tuesday, August 17, 2004, at Dawson Manor, will be held Friday, August 20, at 11:00. a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens.
A native of Sale Creek, TN, Mrs. Degteroff had resided in Dougherty and Terrell Counties since 1989 mivung here from Flint, Michigan. She was a retired Nurses Aide and a member of the Church of God. Mrs. Degteroff was the widower of Gabriel Degteroff.
Survivors include her grandson, David and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Degteroff was preceded in death by a son, Tom "L.T." Miller and an infant daughter, Ruth Miller.

The graveside funeral service of Sara Jane Phelps, 73, of Albany, who died Monday, will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery. Pastors Craig Howell and Sammy F. Whaley will officiate.
A native of Harrisburg, PA, Mrs. Phelps had resided in Albany since 1959. She worked many years with Hormel Meat Company, was self-employed in recent years and was a wonderful seamstress. She was an active member of First Assembly of God Church of Albany. Mrs. Phelps was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Cora Keefer of Pennsylvania, along with four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her son and his wife, James (Jim) and Claire Majors Phelps of Albany, her daughter, Pennie Phelps Strong of Macon, five brothers, Wayne Keefer and his wife, Dolly, David Keefer, Bruce Keefer, Merl Keefer and John Keefer, four sisters, Ruth Anderson, Dorothy Cook, Ester Kiester and Evelyn Smith, all of Pennsylvania.

A native of Randolph Co., GA., Mrs. Lytton had resided in Leesburg for the past six months moving from Albany. She was a home maker, a member of Eastside Church of Christ and was a member of the Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tech Sgt. Clyde William " Red " Lytton, USAF, Ret., two brothers, William L. (Bill) Daniel, Richard E. Daniel, and her mother-in-law, Virginia Lytton.
Survivors include a son, Woodie Lytton and his wife, Theresa, Putney, GA.., four daughters and their husbands, Cathy and George Wiehrs, Adrean and Jeff Laird, Amy and James Lindsey all of Lee Co., GA., Sheila and Bobby Daniel, Albany, GA., her mother, Alma Hilton Daniel, Albany, GA., three brothers, Melvin Daniel, Putney, GA., O. A native of Tift Co., GA., Mrs. Carr had resided in Albany for the past forty years moving from Waterloo. She was a retired clerk and member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Mrs. Carr was the widow of James Vineyard Carr.

A native of Thomas County Ga., Mr. Wilson had lived in Albany since 1958, moving form Thomas County. He was a retired contractor and was a member of Raleigh White Baptist Church. He was precceded in death by his wife, Ellen Elizabeth Wilson, a grandaughter, Karen Ryan of Boston, Ga. and a great- grandson, Jimmy Chavis, Jr. of Warner Robins, Ga.. Mr. Wilson was a loving father and grandfather.
Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Poole of Leesburg, Ga., Barbara Hobbs and her husband Irving Hobbs of Hopeful, Ga., and Nona Sawyer and her husand John Sawyer of Warner Robins, Ga., a brother, Ansel Wilson of Arcadia, Fl., a sister, Annie Lou Duncan of Thomasville, Ga., eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
