DAWSON - Beulah Eaton Bowen of Dawson died Monday, February 24, 2003, at Sumter Regional Hospital in Americus.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Collins officiating.
Mrs. Bowen was a native and lifelong resident of Terrell County, born April 30, 1926, daughter of the late Hampton and Lillie Eaton. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was the widow of Henry Arthur Bowen.
Survivors include two daughters, Belinda B. Webb and husband, Cris, of Bronwood, Sibyl B. Moody and husband, Ed, of Dawson; a sister, Jewel Miller of Macon; five grandchildren, Mae M. Stokes and husband, Chris, of Valdosta, Cliff Webb and wife, Kaysie of Sylvester, Edward Moody and wife, Casey, of Tallahassee, FL, Dan Webb of South Daytona, FL, and George Moody of Dawson; and one great-grandchild, Chase Stokes of Valdosta.

COLQUITT - Jimmy Samuel "Buddy" Wacaser, 68, died Wednesday, February 19, 2003, at his residence in Jonesboro, GA.
Born April 3, 1934, to the late Minnie and Jimmy Wacaser Sr. Mr. Wacaser lived most of his life in Miller County. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Vercie Phillips Wacaser, a brother, David Wacaser, and sisters. Eunice Driesbaugh and Ruth Stahl. Formerly a farmer, he was active in local civic affairs and served as a county commissioner in Miller County. He also served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a retired probation officer for the state of Georgia.
Survivors include a son, Alan Wacaser of Grantville, GA; a daughter, Sandra Duckworth and her husband, J.D. of Jonesboro, GA; and their mother, Vanne Wacaser; three sisters, Addis Crowe of Valdosta, GA, Gladys Blackmon and her husband, Zell, Martha Ann Branch, all of Warner Robins, GA; four grandchildren, Tyler and Rachel Williams of Jonesboro, GA, Clancey and Gus Wacaser of Grantville and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a stepbrother, C.C. "Shorty" Phillips of Colquitt, GA, and a stepsister, Beth Sanders of Boston, GA.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2003, at Cook's Union Methodist Church, Colquitt at 11 a.m.
Visitation will follow immediately after the service.

ALBANY - The funeral service of Dwight Franklin Allen, 56, of 2860 C. Palmyra Road, Leesburg, who died Tuesday, February 25, 2003, will be conducted Thursday 4 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Varnadoe and the Rev. Tommy Lowery will officiate. Interment will be held 2 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2003, at the Allen Cemetery in Waynesboro.
A native of Springfield, MO, Mr. Allen had lived in the Albany area for the past twenty three years moving from Waynesboro. He was a retired Sgt. with the Albany Police Department with 22 years of service and was a National Guard veteran. He attended Harvest Temple Church of God and The First Christian Church. Mr. Allen was a member of The Fraternal Order of Police, Loyal Order of Moose and was active with the Officer Mac (for Schools) and Sgt. Support Services for Albany Police Department.
Survivors include his wife, Sherrie Allen of Leesburg; two sons, Stephan D. Allen of Augusta and Jonathan D. Allen of Albany; a daughter, Tonya Dekker of Augusta; two stepsons, Christopher B. Rhoades of Birmingham, AL, and Matthew W. Rhoades of Columbia, S.C.; a stepdaughter, Aimee Lester of North Augusta, S.C.; two brothers, Rick Allen of Montgomery, AL, and David Allen of Swainesboro; three sisters, Letty Lewis and Jamie Murray, both of Savannah and Debra Johnson of Dublin.

ALBANY - The funeral service of Lucien Ross (Luke) Bush Jr., 63, of 2409 E. Alberson Drive, who died Tuesday, February 25, 2003, will be conducted Thursday 11 a.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. The Rev. Finbarr Stanton will officiate. Interment will follow in Oakview Cemetery in Camilla.
A native of Mitchell County, Mr. Bush had resided in Albany for the past 25 years moving from Mitchell County. He was a 1957 graduate of Mitchell County High School and served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a self-employed accountant and was the payroll accountant for Bass Produce and Speedway Motors. He was a member of the BPOE #713 where he served as acting treasurer, as Esteemed Loyal Knight and served on several committees. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a greeter and a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Janeth Farris Bush of Albany; a son, Lucien Ross Bush III of Atlanta; three daughters, Dianne Bush, Dana Bush Taulli and Lucia Coghlan, all of Atlanta; a sister, Carolyn Nations of Macon; parents, Lucien Ross Bush Sr. and Mattie Eidson Bush of Camilla; two stepsons, George Bass of Covington, LA, and Joey Bass of Eastman; stepdaughter, Tonja Zecha of Augusta; eight grandchildren, Alex Coghlan, Chase Bass, Kaitlyn Bass, McKeena Bass, Bradley Bass, Claire Zecha, Catherine Zecha and Dylan Bass.
A prayer service will be held today at 6 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8 p.m.

ALBANY - Jewel Davis Griffin Young, 84, of Chattahoochee, FL, formerly of Albany died Monday, February 24, 2003.

A native of Cleburne County, AL, Mrs. Young lived in Albany for 55 years before moving to Florida. She retired from Coats and Clark after working for more than 37 years.
Survivors include four sisters, Ezell Story and Izora Clark of Heflin, AL, Loyce D. Lawrence and Jeanett Hill of Chattahoochee, FL; two brothers, Robert Davis of Carrollton, GA, and Doyce Davis of Rome, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamen Franklin Davis and Annie May Young Davis, her husbands, Luther Griffin and John Clarence Young.
