The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church with interment in Mars Hill Cemetery. Elders Robert Torrance, Ken Brantley and Lamar Burkett will officiate.
Mrs. Brooks was born November 7, 1910, in Early County. She had lived in Clay County most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Ronnie Brooks of Tifton and Bobby Brooks of Edison; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Claude Brooks; parents, John and Maggie Farr Durham and son, John Brooks.
The family will receive friends today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. -Rachel Guilford Farr, 90, of Travelers Rest, S.C., died Monday, February 24, 2003, in Greenville, S.C.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with interment in Blakely Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Ron Hinson will officiate.
Mrs. Farr was born July 12, 1912, in Quitman County, GA. She had lived the past eight years in South Carolina; prior to that in Early County most of her life. She was a retired school teacher. She was a member of Blakely First Baptist Church, Peter Early Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was Regent of her chapter for two terms. She was also a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy of Dougherty County, GA, Chapter 187. She was a member of the Senior Action Group in Travelers Rest, where she lived for the past eight years.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Mary C. Farr of Travelers Rest, S.C.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Farr and parents, Albert and Phenie Roberts Guilford.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the funeral time at 11 a.m. in the church parlor in the Educational Building.

Mrs. Moore was born May 23, 1925, in Slayden, Miss. She was a retired teacher with the Miller County School System. She was a member of Colquitt Untied Methodist Church, the Retired Teachers Association of Georgia and was also a member of United Methodist Women's Afternoon Circle.
Survivors include three sons, Bruce Moore and wife, Rebecca of Brewton, AL, David Moore and wife, Ramona of Cohutta, GA, and Woody Moore of Colquitt, GA; one brother, Charles Woody of Storrs, Conn.; four grandchildren, Bobby Moore, Nicholas Moore, Emily Ann Moore and Laura Leigh Moore.

TIFTON - Richard Andrew Norburg, 84, of Tifton died Tuesday, February 25, 2003, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with interment in Oakridge Cemetery. John Voss will officiate.
The pallbearers will be Harold Chambers, Rod Brown, Bob Patrick, David Tanner, Roy Willis and Gary Story.
Mr. Norburg was born March 3, 1918, in Galesburg, Illinois. He was a longtime resident of Albany and had lived in Tifton since 1992. He was retired as a self-employed carpet salesman. He worked for Burlington Railroad in Galesburg for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, World War II. He was a member of Ridge Avenue Church of Christ, Tifton, and Albany American Legion.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Lydia Norburg of Tifton; one sister, Gloria N. Stillings of Auburn, Wash.; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Marty and Terri-Lynn Norburg of Savannah; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Mindy N. Jones and Tom Jones of Omega; granddaughter, Leslie Norburg of Tifton; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Josephine Malone Norburg who died in 1999; parents, V.A. and Louise Harrison Norburg and two sisters.

DONALSONVILLE - John Willard Todd Jr., 71, of Blakely died Monday, February 24, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala.
The remains have been cremated.
Mr. Todd was born August 24, 1931, in La Junta, Colo. He was a retired crop duster. He was an air craft mechanic in the US Air Force. He had been living in the Lucille area for the past 18 years.
Survivors include his son, John Todd III of Manitou Springs, Colo.; one brother, Thomas L. Todd of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren.
Mr. Todd was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Elizabeth Norma Todd on February 16, 2003.

ALBANY - The graveside funeral service of Esther Davis, 93, of 3903 Leary Road, who died Tuesday, February 25, 2003, will be conducted Friday 10 a.m. at Floral Memory Gardens. The Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.
A native of Early County, Mrs. Davis had lived in Albany for the past 57 years. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Davis.

SYLVESTER - Carl C. Gwines, 80, of 421 Porters Corner Road, Sylvester, died Wednesday, February 26, 2003, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Gordy New Bethel Baptist Church with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery. The Revs. Donald Cole and Mike DeLoach will officiate.
Born December 26, 1922, in Worth County, Mr. Gwines was a retired rural mail carrier after 32 years. He was a farmer who loved gardening and also loved gospel music. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW. He was a member and a deacon of Gordy New Bethel Baptist Church where he had served as the Sunday school superintendent and was a member of the Adult Men's Sunday school class.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Lib" Senkbeil Gwines of Sylvester; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Robin Gwines of Sylvester; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Don Goff of Sugar Hill, Ann and Jimmy McClure of Sylvester, June and Mike Carter of Sylvester and Carole and Frederick Hughes of Albany; one sister, Eula Gwines of Sylvester; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George C. and Caromae Culpepper Gwines.
