ALBANY - Sarah Jackson-Cross, 75, of 1022 James Cross Ave. died Saturday, February 22, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hines Memorial C.M.E. Church in Albany with interment in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Maurice S. Cherry will officiate.
Born December 11, 1927, in Taylor County, Mrs. Jackson-Cross was a retired school teacher for the Dougherty County Board of Education. She received her primary education in the public schools of Reynolds, GA, and upon moving to Alachua, FL, she attended the Alachua County schools until she relocated to Albany. She attended Albany State College where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She was a dedicated member of Hines Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where she sang in the Julia Davis Senior Choir until she began to develop medical problems. She also served in other capacities of the church. She was a dedicated member of the Les Charmettes Civic and Social Club where she served as treasurer.
She was married to James Alonzo Cross who preceded her in death in 2001.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Gregory Cross of Albany; a brother, Cornelius (Odell) Towns of Alachua, FL; a sister, Elizabeth Jackson of Philadelphia, PA; a devoted cousin, Rosa L. McGhee of Albany; an uncle, Fred (Sara) Dent of Macon; a brother-in-law, Ulysses (Alvonia) Cross and sisters-in-law, Earnestine Cross of Albany and Ruth King of Waycross; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The remains of Mrs. Jackson-Cross will lie-in-state at the church Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.

ALBANY - The memorial service of Evelyn Doris Krumel, 87, of 1904 Palmyra Road, who died Sunday, February 23, 2003, will be conducted at Orient Baptist Church cemetery in Brick Town, New Jersey, at a time and date to be announced.
A native of Union County, New Jersey, Mrs. Krumel had resided in Albany since July of 2002. She was the widow of Frank Charles Krumel, a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Evelyn Preston of Albany and Lynn Diane Lockwood of Brick Town, New Jersey; six grandchildren, Richard Preston Jr. of Carrolton, Denise Kearse of Albany, Timothy Lockwood of Brick Town, New Jersey, Amy Lockwood of Brick Town, New Jersey, Gregory Preston of Hartselle, AL, Marsha Sablan of Virginia Beach, VA; nine great-grandchildren, Patrick Preston of Hamilton, OH, Robert Preston and Nathan Preston, both of Carrolton, Kristen Kearse and Olivia Kearse of Albany, Cassandra Preston, Aaron Preston, Nate Preston, all of Hartselle, AL, Alexander Sablan of Virginia Beach, VA.

ALBANY - Carl Milton Onspaugh, 77, of Mission Hills, California, died Saturday, February 22, 2003, at his residence.
The funeral service will be held Saturday 11 AM at Kimbrell-Stern. The Rev. Andy Goode will officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Memory Gardens.
A native of Meadville, PN, Mr. Onspaugh had lived in Mission Hills for the past 50 years. He served in the United States Air Force. He retired from The Lockheed Aircraft Corporation after forty years as an Aeronautical Engineer. Mr. Onspaugh was also a writer. He was a founding leader of the Cub Scout Pack 129 and the Boy Scout Troup 129 in Mission Hills, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Owens Onspaugh.
Survivors include two sons, Mark S. Onspaugh and his wife Tobey Crokett of La Crescenta, CA, and Gary M. Onspaugh and his wife Claudia of Reseda, CA; one grandson, Seth Onspaugh; two brothers, Charles Onspaugh of Virginia Beach, VA, Clyde Onspaugh of Akron, OH, and a sister-in-law, Bessie Owens Bell of Albany, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 PM until 8:30 PM at Kimbrell-Stern.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Gene Collins Sr. of Baconton, Jerry C. Collins of Albany and Donald Lee Collins of Sale City; two daughters, Beverly Collins of Baconton and Connie Collins of Baconton; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
