Mr. James Edward Davis, III, age 21, died Tuesday morning.
A native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County, he was employed with Stokes Tree and Stump Removal. He was a member of the 1999 Statesboro High School graduating class. He was a former member of the Blue Devil Football Team and the Wrestling Team. James also attended Bulloch Academy for one year where he played football. He currently attended Ogeechee Technical College and he was a member of the Statesboro First United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, John R. Hunnicutt.
Surviving are his parents, James E. and Janice Hunnicutt Davis of Statesboro; his maternal grandmother, Marie R. Hunnicutt of Brooklet; his paternal grandparents, James E. and Fostine A. Davis of the Ivanhoe community; several uncles and aunts, Ray M. Davis and Ted L. Davis of the Ivanhoe community, Don E. Davis of Kennesaw, Ann H. Gillis of Hoboken, Ga., Charles T. Hunnicutt of Brooklet and Donna H. Tucker of Statesboro; and 11 cousins also survive.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Statesboro First United Methodist Church with Dr. Don Adams officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Gillis, Donnie Davis, Kelly Davis, Keith Davis, Toby Tucker and Mitchell Davis.

ELLABELL - Brenda Renee Holton, 29, died Saturday, September 21, 2002, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro after a brief illness.
She was born in Napa, Calif., February 2, 1973. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9229, Ladies Auxiliary and was chaplain in Alachua, Fla. She was a Baptist, a devoted and loving mother and enjoyed outdoor activities.
Survivors include a son, Jacob Tyler Holton of Ellabell; her parents, Walter L. Holton Sr. and Helen L. Holton of Alachua, Fla.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter L. Holton Jr. and Becky of Alachua, Fla., Timothy J. Holton and Cindy of Knights Landing, Calif., and Ronald E. Holton and Rachel of Napa, Calif.; three sisters, Tammy S. Holton of Shelby, Ala., Melody T. Holton and Ellie Lopez of Fairfield, Calif., and Kimberley R. Taylor and Terry of Ellabell; her grandfather, Donald P. Griffin of Napa, Calif.; her fiance, Joe McLees of Ellabell; 11 nephews, nine nieces and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The graveside service and burial will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Hillcrest Abbey East in Savannah with Rev. Daniel Smith officiating.

Mr. Odell Jones, age 37, died in Jacksonville, Fla. He was employed as a construction worker.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Jones of Savannah; two daughters, Kelly Jones of Statesboro and Ashley Jones of Register; three sons, Anthony Jones, Travis Jones and Calmone Jones, all of Statesboro; two sisters, Diane Jones and Karen Howard, both of Statesboro; two brothers, Warnell Jones and Cefus Howard, both of Statesboro; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Robena Raymond Memorial Chapel at the Craig R. Tremble and Sons Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will be in the Bessenger Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7-8 p.m. in the Robena Raymond Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Ruth Dowd Lowe, age 80, died Tuesday morning at her residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. A native of Tattnall County, she had lived in Bulloch County since 1947. Mrs. Lowe was retired from Brooks Instrument Division after 29 years of service. She worked along with her husband who owned Lowe's Upholstery. She was a charter member of the Eastern Heights Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Gordon Lowe Sr. of Statesboro; one son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Gail Lowe of Metter; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Vivian and Bill Curry of Statesboro and Barbara and Leon Creamer of Vidalia; two sisters, Sue Porter of Jackson, Miss., and Ruby D. Hodges of Hilton Head, S.C.; six grandsons, one granddaughter, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. W.G. "Bill" Brown and the Rev. Carl Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Carl Sparks, Jim Creamer, Brian Creamer, Dusty Lowe, Charlie Eunice and Gordon Mosley.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Eastern Heights Baptist Church and co-workers of Brooks Instrument.

Mr. Ralph McBride, age 71, died Wednesday morning at his residence after a long illness under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The native of Screven County had lived in Statesboro for many years and was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. McBride was a service technician with the Statesboro Telephone Company, now Frontier Communications, retiring after 38 years of service. The avid hunter and fisherman was a member of Boyd's Men's Coffee Club and the McDonald Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Malcolm and Delia Bragg McBride; and a sister, Margie Jenkins.
Survivors include his wife, Laverne Hunnicutt McBride; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Tony Puckett and Tammy and Ronnie Gay; one son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Stephanie McBride, all of Statesboro; two brothers, Malcolm McBride and Wayburn McBride, both of Pooler; six grandchildren, Megan and Thomas Puckett, William and his wife, Christy Gay, Nikki Gay and Justin and Jessica McBride; one great-grandson, Austin Gay; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Jake A. Futch Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Jake A. Futch Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Max Alderman and Rev. Fred Maddox officiating. Burial will follow in the McDonald Baptist Church Cemetery in Sylvania.

Mrs. Inez E. Rigdon, age 97, died early Saturday morning, November 30, 2002 at Statesboro Nursing Home in Statesboro. She was a native of Bulloch County and lived in Savannah for many years before returning to Bulloch County several years ago. Mrs. Rigdon was the Director of the Florence Crittenden Home and later was the Dorm Director at Georgia Southern University where she retired. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Statesboro where she attended the Joy Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her daughter, Vivian R. Hill of Denmark, South Carolina; two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Joy Rigdon of Everett, Washington, and Jim and Pat Rigdon of Clayton, California; five sisters, Geraldine Sauls of Statesboro, Katie Kersey of Statesboro, Eulene Rusty Bailey of Statesboro, Audrey Gladin of Savannah, and Sallie Struthers of Walnut, Iowa; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Benjamin Carl (B.C.) Bagley, age 76, died Friday evening at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. The N. Grosvendale, Conn. Native lived in Augusta and Thomson for many years before moving to Statesboro in 1970. Mr. Bagley was a retired District Superintendent with Georgia Power Company with 45 years of service. He was a former member of the Statesboro Kiwanis Club and Thomson Lions Club where he served as President. Mr. Bagley was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church. He was an avid golfer.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Frances McDaniel Bagley of Statesboro; a son and daughter-in law, C.A. (Tony) and Pam Bagley of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Jerry Johnson of Grayson, Ga.; six grandchildren, John Tippins, Jeffery Tippins, Josh Johnson, Aubrey Bagley, Brett Bagley and Bethany Bagley; a brother and sister-in-law, James A. and Gussie Bagley of Augusta; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Becky and Pete Mews of Yorktown, Va. and Frances Musselwhite of North Augusta, S.C., Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00pm at the Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. Joan Killian officiating.
Graveside services and burial will be Tuesday at 11:00am at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Augusta.

BROOKLET Mrs. Sara Rogers Lanier, age 81, died Friday at East Georgia Regional Medical Center under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice.
The native and life long resident of Bulloch County was retired from First Bulloch Bank after 28 years of service. Following retirement, she worked for Rozier Ford in Brooklet. She was a member of the Brooklet Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Lanier.
Surviving are her daughter and son in law Sara Ellen and Emory Aspinwall of Rincon Ga., A granddaughter Debbie and her husband Mike Jernigan of Tennessee and Ron Aspinwall of Savannah, Ga. Two great-grandchildren Brittany Grant and Catherine Blake Jernigan of Tennessee.
One sister Merle S. Morris of Brunswick Ga. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Joiner Anderson Funeral Home with and Elder Lavonne Anderson officiating.
Burial will be in Brooklet City Cemetery.

Mr. Lowe was the owner and operator of the Lowes Cabinet Shop and Upholstery in Statesboro. He was a charter member of the Eastern Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Dowd Lowe.

Mr. Woods was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Gracewood Baptist Church where he was a member of the Lavonne Deal Sunday School class.
Surviving are his wife of eight years, Evelyn Skinner Barnwell Woods of Statesboro; six daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and James H. Mayton of Guyton, Linda and Robert Smith of Garden City, Brenda Morgan and Sammy Shahal of Guyton, Glenda and Billy Herrin of Guyton, Melinda and Danny Buchcaan of Jacksonville, Nora and Jeff Willoughby of Statesboro; one son, Jimmy and Leann Barnwell of Statesboro; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister Florence Kit Bishop of Metter.

He is survived by two daughters, Latoya Rawls and Ebony Rawls, both of Savannah; mother, Laura Rawls of Statesboro; two sisters, Mary Joyce and Lollie Rawls, both of Atlanta; eight brothers, Willie Rawls of Baton Rouge, La., Larry Rawls and Ronald Rawls, both of Statesboro, Johnny Rawls of Augusta, Charles Rawls, Kenneth Rawls, Raymond Rawls Jr. and Donald Rawls, all of Atlanta; one grandson and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Robena Raymond Memorial Chapel at the Craig R. Tremble and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Craig R. Tremble officiating. Burial will be in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
