Ethel Poe, 90, Sharpsburg, died Dec. 8, 1998. She was born April 8, 1908 in Reynolds, Ga., the daughter of Willoughby Earl and Ruby Inez Ingram Marshall.
Memorial services were held at the Hillcrest Chapel, Newnan, with Dr. Watson Mills officiating.

Sarah Jewell Sutton, 77, Newnan, died Dec. 12, 1998. She was born July 10, 1921 in Fayette County, Ga., the daughter of Robert P. and Claude Annie Morgan Couch.

Joseph Marion "Jodie" Sewell, 75, Newnan, died Dec. 21, 1998. He was born Aug. 22, 1923 in Coweta County, Ga., the son of Thomas Gholston and Odessa Chestene Moore Sewell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Jean Lowery Sewell.
Services were held at the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Searcy Jackson officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan.

James D. "Jimmy" Price, 72, Newnan, died Dec. 28, 1998. He was born May 29, 1926 in Anderson, S.C., the son of Dewey and Pauline Prater Price.
He had been a banker and developer, and a former owner of Cawthen-Price Motors. He had served in the Navy in World War II and was a member of Capitol View Masonic Lodge.
Services were held at the First Baptist Church of Newnan with Dr. Gene Tyre and the Rev. Charles Wilson officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Gail Price, Newnan; daughters, Deborah Price Cunningham and G. Nolan Harmon
Nolan Bailey "Joe" Harmon, 71, Myrtle Beach, S.C., died Dec. 29, 1998. He was born July 9, 1927 in Front Royal, Va., the son of Nolan B. Harmon II, a renowned Methodist Bishop, and Rebecca Lamar Harmon, formerly of Atlanta.
He served in the United States Marine Corps in 1945; then attended Emory University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Doctor of Law degree.
A founding partner of Harmon, Smith, Bridges and Wilbanks in Atlanta, he had also served as Associate General Counsel of the State Bar of Georgia.
Upon retirement he and his wife moved to Myrtle Beach, where he served as legal counsel and director of the Meher Spiritual Center.
Services were held at the Senoia United Methodist Church with interment in the Senoia City Cemetery.

Marie Emilie Bertha Fuhrmann, 84, Newnan, died July 21, 1998. She was born Nov. 6, 1913 in Schwedt/Oder, Germany. She was the daughter of the late Carl August and Bertha Schattschneider and was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Ernest Paul Fuhrmann.

Helen W. Howell, 70, Sharpsburg, formerly of Hapeville, died July 23, 1998. She was born Oct. 18, 1927 in Henry County, Ga. She was the daughter of William H. and Leila Harrison Whitworth and was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Howell. She was a retired stock broker with Smith-Barney with over 25 years of service. She was a member of the Turin United Methodist Church and a former member of the Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church, East Point.

James Lawrence Fischer, Jr., 66, Senoia, died July 27, 1998. He was born Dec. 25, 1931 in Coweta County, Ga. He was the son of the late James Lawrence and Daisey Walker Fischer, Sr. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and had been employed as an appliance repairman.

Richard Kenneth Buzzell, 34, Senoia, died June 4, 1998. He was born Oct. 16, 1963 in Worcester, Ma. He attended Quabbin Regional High School in Barre, Ma. and East Coast Aero Tech in New Bedford, Ma. He served six years in the Marine Corps Reserves and was an aircraft mechanic with Delta Airlines.

Ken Guethlein, 55, Sharpsburg, died June 9, 1998. He was born Jan. 1, 1943 in Gladeville, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his father, John Benjamin Guethlein. He was a veteran of the United States Army and owner of Superior Plans in Sharpsburg, where he was an insurance broker. He was a graduate of the Immanuel Baptist Theological Seminary College and served as a pastor. He was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church, Griffin.

A. Donal Cook, 71, Fairburn, died Oct. 26, 1998. He was born June 15, 1927 in Fairburn.
He had served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955, and was employed with Delta Air Lines from 1956 to 1991.

Martha Peirce Breyer, 83, Moreland, died Nov. 1, 1998. She was born June 20, 1915 in Birmingham, Ala., the daughter of Robert Grant and Mary Foshee Peirce. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. H. Breyer.
She was a graduate of Washington Seminary, a member of the O.B.X. Sorority, had been a model for Rich's Dept. Store and a member of various Garden Clubs. She had been a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church and Newnan Presbyterian Church.

Carolyn Majors, 59, Newnan, died Nov. 5, 1998. She was born Feb. 15, 1939 in Gainesville, Ga., the daughter of the late Raymond Howard and Ada Velva Fowler Gaddis. She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Gaddis.
She was retired from Eckerd Corp.

Arthur L. "Bub" Allen, 85, Newnan, died Nov. 5, 1998. He was born Sept. 11, 1913 in Coweta County, Ga., the son of Lovic Pierce and Ludie Pearl Gordon Allen. He was a retired supervisor inspector for Lockheed and had served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. He was a past master of Sylvan Lodge F&AM #429 in 1943 and had received his 50 year pin. He had been in Masonry for 60 years, and was also a Royal Arch Mason.

He was a retired technician for the National Cash Register Corp. and had served in the United States Air Force.

He was retired as a warehouse supervisor for Richardson Co., and had served in the United States Army, World War II.
