Graveside services for Richard Sykes of McRae were held at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 29, at Eastman Cemetery.
The Bishop Charles Mitchell officiated.
Sykes, 64, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003. He was the son of the late Rena Smith and Thomas Griffin Sykes.
Survivors included his sisters, Louise Chase, Bonnie Thomas, Sarah Sykes, Vinell Sykes, Glenda Samuel and Clarice Eudell; and a host of relatives and friends.

James Robert Williams Sr.
Services for James Robert Williams Sr., of Eastman were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at Zebulon Baptist Church in Eastman with interment in Orphans Cemetery.
The Rev. Ben Foxworth, the Rev. Alvin Lewis and Dr. Jerry Peele officiated.
Williams, 76, died Thursday, June 26, 2003. He was a native of Dodge County and was the son of the late James David Williams Sr., and the late Kate Allene Braswell Williams.
He was a member, deacon and Sunday school teacher of Zebulon Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Corp. He was a 1945 graduate of Eastman High School, former manager of Eastman Ice & Coal Company and an A/C & Humidity technician retiree of Reeves Brothers, Inc.
Survivors included his wife, Doris Kirkley Williams; daughter, Lori W. Sheffield; son, James R. Williams Jr., brother, J.D. Williams; sister, Betty W. Williams; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive.
Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman was in charge of arrangements.
John Williams
Services for John Williams of Rhine were held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at St. James Baptist Church of Rhine with interment at Barney, number one in Rhine.

Williams, 71, died Wednesday, June 25, 2003. He was the son of the late Charlie and Mammie Williams.
Survivors included his wife, Ruby Williams of Rhine; four children, Christine Phillips of Soperton, Pearline Ross of Warner Robins, Marcellus Williams of Rhine and Wendy Williams of Warner Robins; sisters, Marie Price and Carrie May Henley, both of Rhine; brothers, James Williams of Buffalo, N.Y. and Henry Williams of Melbourne, Fla.; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Kenneth Jeffery Brown
Graveside services for Kenneth Jeffery Brown of Rhine, Ga were held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 23, at Bay Springs Cemetery in Rhine, Ga.
Rev. Roy Williams officiated.
Brown, 56, died Saturday, June 21,2003. He was a native of Dodge County, a member of Rhine United Methodist Church, a carpenter, a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army. Brown, died at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. He was the son of the late Jeff Brown and Hazel Swymer Brown.
Survivors included his son, Kenneth Joshua Odom of Cochran, brothers, Charlie Brown and Harris Hardin both of Hawkinsville, and one grandson.

Jettie Mae Clements
Services for Jettie Mae Clements of Jacksonville, Ga were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at Mt. Galilee Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.

Clements, 91, died Friday, June 20, 2003. She was born in Tift County. She had lived most of her life in Jacksonville, Ga., but had been residing in Macon, Ga., for the past few years. She was a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Moses and Alice Connell and widow of Joseph P. Clements.
Survivors include daughters, Vera L. Thomas and Emilye Jo Spires (Larry) both of Macon, Carol Strom (Julian) of Nashville, Ga., 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Caroline Eason Lee
Services for Caroline Eason Lee of Fayetteville, Ga were held at 5 p.m., Tuesday, June 10 at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City, Ga. Interment services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 11 at the Gethsemane Section of Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah, Ga.
Rev. John H. Weber and Rev. Miriam Beecher officiated memorial services. Internment services were officiated by Rev. John H. Weber.
Lee, died Saturday, June 7, 2003. She was a native of Savannah, Ga, she had resided in Fayetteville, Ga. She was the daughter of Mrs. Vera Cook and the late H. Bascom Eason of Milan, Ga.
Survivors included her husband, John E. Lee of Fayetteville, Ga; son; Stephen B. Lee of Buford, Ga; sister, Mary Anne (Eddie) Evans of Eastman, Ga.

Services for John H. Purser of Bonaire were held at 2 p.m., Sunday June 22, at Bonaire United Methodist Church with interment at 5 p.m. at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery in Wheeler County.
Rev. Lamar Harper and Rev. Bill Woodson officiated.
Purser, 79, died Thursday, June 19,2003. A native of Wheeler County, he had resided in Bonaire. He was the son of the late Henry and Vashti Livingston.
He was a member of the Bonaire United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Fanalice Sunday school class, served as treasurer for over 39 years, former member of the administrative board and former trustee. He was a member of, and had his 50-year pin from the Tyrian Lodge #111, Scottish Rite and Martha Berry Chapter of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include his wife, Laverne H. Purser, son, Keith E. Purser of Marietta, sisters, Nell (Paul) Smith of Macon, Peggy Montford of Townsend, and several nieces and nephews.

Sellars, 61, died Saturday, June 21,2003. She was a native of Telfair County. She was a member of the Lumber City Baptist Church and a nurses aid and a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Reno and Ada Cravey.
Survivors included son, Will Sellars (Brandi) of Lumber City, Brother, Richard T. (Buck) Cravey of Helena, sisters, Willene Dykes of Dalton, Ga., Elaine Jones of Jacksonville, Ga., and Martha Wells of McRae, several nieces and nephews.

Thomas Ervin Selph
Services for Thomas Ervin Selph of McRae were held at 3 p.m., Friday, June 13, at Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel with interment in the Siloam Baptist Church cemetery.

Selph, 85, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003. A native and lifelong of Telfair County. He was the son of the late Mack and Catherine Spires Selph. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Margaret Howell Selph and his son, Glynn Ervin Selph.
He attended Siloam Baptist Church and was a farmer.
Survivors include his sons, Barney and Allen Selph of McRae; daughter, Kathy Roberson of McRae; sister, Ruby Boswell of Perry; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mellie Williams Tedders
Services for Mellie Williams Tedders of Milan, Ga were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with interment in the Milan Cemetery.

Tedders, 90, died Sunday, June 22, 2003. She a native and lifelong resident of Telfair County. She was the daughter of the late W.H. “Willie” and Betsy Cravey Williams. She was the widower of Hugh D. Tedders Sr. She was a retired social worker and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
Survivors include sons, Kennon Tedders of Milan, Hugh Tedders of Bonaire and Edward Tedders of Warner Robins; sisters, Mildred Stanley of Milan and Macy Callaway of Warner Robins; eight grandchildren and ten great-grand children.
