CARNESVILLE - Mrs. Ruby Mae Wright Bradford, 65, died Thursday, January 11, 2001.
Mrs. Bradford was a member of Appalachee Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Ann Bradford.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 13, at Appalachee Baptist Church with the Revs. Sammy Everette and Richard Boone officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bradford is survived by her husband, Kelley L. Bradford; son, Farion L. Bradford, Hoschton; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Mark Bruce, Buford; brother, J.W. Wright, Statham; grandchildren, Brandy Marie Bradford and Scott Alan Bruce; and great-grandchildren, MaKinley Robinson and Noah Taylor.

MRS. COCHRAN
Alabama native
TALMO - Mrs. Willie Ruth Sizemore Cochran, 75, died Monday, January 15, 2001, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Cochran was born September 26, 1925, in Blount County, Ala. She was a daughter of the late Clifford and Stella Mae Gilbert Sizemore.
Mrs. Cochran was retired from McEver Packing Company and was of the Baptist denomination. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah Newton Cochran.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 18, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Jeff Langley officiating. Burial will be in the Pond Fork Baptist Church cemetery, Talmo.
Mrs. Cochran is survived by one son, Roger Cochran, Talmo; two daughters, Jeanette Bales and Ruthie Watson, both of Talmo; three brothers, Henry Sizemore and Leslie Sizemore, both of Cumming, and Junior Sizemore, Mary Ester, Fla.; four sisters, Pauline Anderson, Flowery Branch, Betty Hamby, Cumming, Jean Mooney, Buford, and Runell Wallace, Alpharetta; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family was to have received friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

MR. POOLE
Purple Heart recipient
BALDWIN - J.D. Poole, 75, died Thursday, January 4, 2001, at Habersham County Medical Center following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Mr. Poole was born June 6, 1925, in Banks County. He was a son of the late John Stovall Poole and Rosa Lee Sellers Poole.
Mr. Poole was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He received the European, African, Middle Eastern Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, the World War II Victory Medal, the American Service Medal, the Bronze Star Medal and the Purple Heart for injuries received in Italy.
He was a farmer and was a member of Line Baptist Church. Mr. Poole was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Roberts.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, January 7, at Line Baptist Church with the Revs. Garry Garrison and Kenneth McEntire officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with the Rev. Roy Rogers officiating at graveside.
Mr. Poole is survived by his wife, Gladys Dalton Poole, Baldwin; one sister, Lola Mason, Gramerton, N.C.; and two brothers, Tom Poole, Alto, and Ed Poole, Baldwin.

MRS. HENDRICKS

COMMERCE - Mrs. Annie Maude Hendricks, 83, died Saturday, January 6, 2001, at BJC Medical Center, Commerce.
A native of Madison County, Mrs. Hendricks was a daughter of the late Obe and Emma Okelly Chandler, and the wife of the late Hoyt H. Hendricks.
She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and was retired from Westclock and Commerce Sports Wear.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 7, at Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Revs. Brad Wilson and Carlton Peters officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Sharon Hendricks, Commerce; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Ricky Cochran, Commerce; brother, James Smith, Atlanta; sister, Mary Ruth Brock, East Point; and four grandchildren.

CARNESVILLE - Fred Hill, 63, died Thursday, January 4, 2001, at Ty Cobb Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Hill was born July 28, 1937, in Franklin County, a son of the late Ben and Vetter Patrick Hill.
He was a retired farmer. Mr. Hill was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Hill, and a sister, Helen Norton.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 6, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Leon Carson officiating. Burial was in the Leatherwood Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Hill is survived by his wife, Fannie Ruth Simmons Hill, Carnesville; two daughters, Barbara Morris, Carnesville, and Betty Trousdale, Commerce; five sisters, Blondine Baxter, Baldwin, Geraldine Doss, Martin, Ruby Smith, Alto, Mae Maney, Cornelia, and Jimmy Sue Thurmond, Athens; four brothers, Coleman Hill, Thomas Hill and Wayman Hill, all of Baldwin, and Ricky Hill, Homer; and three grandchildren.

AUBURN - Dock Alvin Butler, 91, died Wednesday, December 27, 2000.
Mr. Butler was a native of Gwinnett County. He was a farmer and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church, Auburn. Mr. Butler was also a member of the Auburn Masonic Lodge #230 F&AM.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2000, at Union Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Long officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Butler is survived by his children, Qullion and Guy Butler, Sue and Milton Turner, J.C. and Rosa Mitchell and Florene Masters, all of Auburn, James E. and Hilda Butler, Charleston, S.C., Charlotte and Buford Smith, Oakwood, and H.E. and Jewette Mitchell, Dacula; sisters-in-law, Rubye R. NICHOLSON - Mrs. Nettie Montine Brock Barnett, 89, died Saturday, January 6, 2001, at BJC Medical Center, Commerce.
Mrs. Barnett was born May 10, 1911, in Franklin County, a daughter of the late William C. and Myrtle Gordon Brock.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Nicholson Congregational Holiness Church. Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband, Jewette L. Barnett.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 8, at the Nicholson Congregational Holiness Church with the Revs. Howard Rhodes, J.D. Sosebee, Dennis Kesler and Curtis Green officiating. Burial was in Howington Cemetery, Nicholson.
Survivors include one son, Buck Barnett, Ila; four daughters, Ethelle Howington and Lautrelle Richey, both of Jefferson, and Eutelle Morgan and Gwynelle Smith, both of Nicholson; three brothers, Gordon Brock, Canton, J.W. Brock, Roswell, and Terry Brock, Griffin; four sisters, Viola Bianchi and Linda Jett, both of Griffin, Mellie Faye Brown, Dalton, and Lucille Moss, Roswell; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

MRS. CLARK

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FLA. - Mrs. Ann C. Clark, 79, died Friday, December 8, 2000, at Hospice Care Center, Port Orange, Fla.
Mrs. Clark was born in Commerce and moved to the New Smyrna Beach area in 1970 from Marietta. In the 1940s, she modeled for Gaines Pressley's Hair Styling of Marietta and worked for Bell Bomber-Lockheed, where she designed and modeled the jumpsuits popularized by female factory assembly workers, referred to as "Rosie the Riveters" during World War II. Mrs. Clark owned the Ann Clark School of Dance, Marietta, and later taught dance to military dependents in Germany during the Occupation. Upon returning to America in 1953, she worked as an administrative assistant for the Marietta Daily Journal newspaper. Mrs. Clark retired in 1983 as an account technician for the Social Security Administration, Daytona Beach, Fla., and was a member of the First Christian Church, Marietta.
Survivors include two sons, Phillip Clark, Edgewater, Fla., and Ronald Carlan, Talking Rock; three daughters, Wanda Phinney, Janet Bowey and Elizabeth Goodson, all of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; one brother, Jim Cheek, Commerce; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

MRS. CONGER

CORNELIA - Mrs. Sue Hughes Conger, 64, died Sunday, January 7, 2001, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Conger was born January 5, 1937, in Swain County, N.C., but had lived most of her life in Cornelia. She was a daughter of the late Winfred and Mae Burchfield Hughes.
Mrs. Conger was a homemaker and was of the Baptist denomination. She was preceded in death by a son, Harvey Charles Conger.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Rev. Walter Burrell officiating. Burial was in the Level Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Conger is survived by her husband, Harvey J. Conger, Cornelia; and one brother, Orris Hughes, Bryson City, N.C.

MR. STOVER
U.S. Army veteran
CLARKESVILLE - Paul E. Stover, 72, died Thursday, January 4, 2001, at Habersham County Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Stover was born in Gilmer County on September 2, 1928, a son of the late Roland and Daisy Holden Stover.
He was retired from Scovill Manufacturing and was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Mr. Stover was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean Conflict, receiving the Good Conduct Medal.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Toy Stover, Woodrow Stover, Charlie Stover and Howard Stover, and three sisters, Bertha Johnson, Ovie Coffee and Ollie Cochran.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 6, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Revs. Paris Whitworth, Truitt Phillips and Richard Horn officiating. Burial was in the Unity Baptist Church cemetery, with full military honors conducted by Rabun County DAV Chapter #15.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Kay Stover, Toccoa, Sherry Franklin, Mt. Airy, and Donna Brown, Clarkesville; four sons, Randy Stover and Terry Stover, both of Clarkesville, Jerry Stover, Toccoa, and James Franklin, Mt. Airy; one sister, Pauline Simmons, Chatsworth; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
