Milford Bates
Milford Ford Bates, age 78, a resident of Talking Rock, Ga., died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta.
Mr. Bates was born on the 13th day of April 1932 in Morgan County. He continued to live in Coalfield and Oliver Springs until his move to Georgia in 2000.
Milford was the owner and operator of Bates Landscaping. He also worked in construction as a brick mason. He was a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church. Milford was a loving father and his grandchildren were the love of his life.
Mr. Bates was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Bates Sr. and Annie Mae Luttrell Bates; by brothers, Leslie, Elvert L.C. and John Wesley Bates Jr.; and by a infant sister, Thelma Faye Bates.
He is survived by a son, Timothy Bates and wife Phyllis; daughters, Rebecca Heath and husband Michael and Sherea Chester and husband Ron; and grandchildren, Melinda Brogdon, Chase, Casey and Taylor Heath, all of Talking Rock; sisters, Dorthy Conrad, Life Care Center in Wartburg, and Louise Brock and husband Richard, Back Valley; sister-in-law, Bonnie Bates, Lancing, Tn., and his former wife and friend, Virginia. A host of nieces, nephews and special friends also survive.
The funeral was held on June 4 at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mack Smith officiating. Burial and a graveside service was held Saturday, June 5 at 10 a.m. at the Oliver Springs Cemetery. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the services.
Bobbi Young
Mrs. Bobbi Young, age 42 of Jasper, passed away at her residence June 6, 2010.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Young, Jasper; father, Ken Mason, Dansville, Mi.; sons, Zachary Young, Hartville, Oh., and Benjamin Young, Uniontown, Oh.; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Rhonda Mason, Alpharetta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Rich Scherer, Mason, Mi., Brenda and Bob Brant, Florida, and Barb and Ron Netti, Ohio; and grandchild, Brett Young.
The funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 9 from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Self officiating. The family did accept house-type arrangements, but donations may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
STANLEY BRUCE BEARDEN

Stanley Bruce Bearden, age 52, of Austell passed away in the evening on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell.
Stanley was born to Clifford Bruce Bearden and Peggy Marie Fulghum Bearden on May 27, 1960 in Austell, Georgia. He was one of nine children including Phillip, Mona, Don, Martha, Sue, Wanda, Cindy, and Michelle.
He met the love of his life, Crystal Jelene Tatum, in 1977 while he was still in school. They later married
and had three beautiful girls, Nina Marie, Angela Annette, and Lisa Jelene. Their family later grew to include six grandchildren, Haley, Bruce, Bradley, Emily, Ryan, and Ella May.
Stanley worked as a self-employed painter and loved his family very much.
Stanley Bruce Bearden is preceded in death by his father, Clifford Bruce Bearden, and his sister, Mona Lisa Bearden. He is survived by his loving wife, Crystal Jelene Bearden of Austell; three daughters, Nina Marie Bearden of Lithia Springs, Angela Annette Bearden of Austell, and Lisa Jelene Bearden of Austell; brothers, Phillip Eugene Bearden of Villa Rica and Donald Ray Bearden and his wife Gayla of Temple; sisters, Martha Jane Southerland of Villa Rica, Sue Lynn Appel and her husband John of Marietta, Wanda Annette Mulkey and her husband Johnny of Ranger; Cindy Marie Chambers and her husband Jr. of Douglasville, and Michelle Denise Ayers of Marietta; and six grandchildren, Haley Marie Stamps, Bruce Andrew Bearden, Bradley Keith Myers Jr., Emily Jelene Kelly, Ryan Taylor Myers, and Ella May Grace Buckner.
The family will receive friends 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm Friday, May 10, 2013 at White Columns Funeral Chapel in Mableton with Funeral Services at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 11, 2013 with Rev. Keith Collins officiating. iIntermentwill follow at Beulah Baptist Church cemetery in Douglasville.

Baby Uriel Ramierez Jr. passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell.
Baby Uriel went to be with the Lord after only 18 weeks of conception.
He is survived by his parents, Lorena Vasquez and Uriel Ramierez Sr.
They will love and miss him very much.
Baby Uriel Ramierez Jr. will be cremated on Monday, May 13, 2013 under the care of White Columns Funeral Chapel in Mableton.
No services have been arranged by the family at this time.
NADINE MILLER BRYANT

Nadine Elizabeth Miller Bryant, age 85, of Mableton passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Nadine was born to William Henry Miller and Jewell King Miller on November 16, 1927 in Moultrie, Georgia.
She was the wife of Clarence Bryant Jr. and they had been married
for 67 years. They had four children together, Stephen, David, Deborah, and LuAnn. Their family later grew to include 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Nadine was formerly of Rome and had been a Mableton resident for over 50 years. She was a former Girl Scout leader and loved spending time with her family. Nadine enjoyed crocheting, shopping, and was described as "the best cook" by her family.
Nadine Elizabeth Miller Bryant is preceded in death by her parents, William and Jewell Miller, and her grandson in law, James Burns. She is survived by her loving husband, Clarence Bryant Jr.; sons, Stephen Clifford Bryant and his wife Scarlett of Marietta and David Bryant and his wife Cheryl of Calhoun; daughters, Deborah Karen Pettit and her husband Tim of Kennesaw and LuAnn Bryant of Douglasville; grandchildren, Keith Epperson and his wife Janice, Miles Pettit, Andria Pettit, Derrick Pettit, Michael Pettit, Suzanne Hayes, Katrena Cuevas and her husband Jimmy, Stephanie Dunnigan, Brandon Dunnigan and his wife Tammy, David Bryant Jr., Jeremy Bryant and his fiance Krista McGuire, and Misty Burns; and great-grandchildren, Declan Epperson, Tristan Epperson, Aiden Hayes, Everet Hayes, Mason Cuevas, Marlee Cuevas, Solomon Green, and Riley Green.

David Owen Logue, age 80, of Mableton died on May 20, 2013. Born in Wayne County, Lutts, Tennessee, he grew up in Savannah, Hardin County, and then joined the Air Force in 1950 where he served his country for a 4 year term. After completing his military service, he moved to Atlanta where he worked for the Atlanta Fire Department Communications Division for several years. He spent most of his working years with the IBEW # 613 as an industrial electrician. Mr.Logue has served as a past president of the Adams Lodge # 171 F+AM in Mableton, a past secretary of James E Sledge daylight lodge # 742, a conductor of the Cobb County Masonic Memorial Club for several years. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Ramona S. Logue, step-daughters; Paulette S. McCartney of Clinton, Missouri, Debbie Banks of Villa Rica, Georgia; nephew; James E. Logue and his son, Alexander S. Logue of Memphis, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence Wesley Logue and Bessie Leona Paulk Logue; his siblings: Charles O Logue, Kathleen L. White, Robert W. Logue, and John Maury Logue.
His graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday May 23, 2013 at Georgia National cemetery in Canton with Masonic Honors officiated by Mr. Don Wilkes.

Sandra Pruett Ruff, age 71, of Marietta passed away on May 23, 2013.
A devoted mother and grandmother, she loved photography and scrapbooking, entertaining over the holidays, dancing and playing with her grandchildren. She was an avid volunteer at school and civic organizations.
Survivors include her eldest daughter, Kimberly Ruff Betbeze and her husband, John Bender Betbeze of Marietta, her daughter, Kelly Ruff Eichorn and her husband, Peter Bartholomew Eichorn of Austin, Texas and her son, Charles “Chad” Jackson Ruff, Jr. and his wife, Erica Asti Ruff of Marietta; grandchildren: John “Bo” Bender Betbeze, Jr., Connor Hayden Betbeze, Jackson “Jack” Gaines Betbeze, Skyler Rose Ruff, Charles “Jackson” Ruff, Jr., Natalie Parks Eichorn and Elaina O’Shea Eichorn; brothers, John Pruett and his wife Linda, Billy Pruett and his wife Rosemary; and Jerry Pruett and his wife Lyn.
The family will receive friends on Friday at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at White Columns Funeral Chapel in Mableton prior to the funeral services in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Debbie Wells officiating. A private interment will follow at Greenwood cemetery in Atlanta.
Kenneth Wayne Alphin
February 2, 1928 - December 18, 2013
Kenneth “Ken” W. Alphin, age 85, of Smyrna, has joined his wife of 55 years, Ruby Sandlin Alphin, and son Kenneth Alphin, Jr., to be with the Lord on December 18, 2013.
He was born to William Ransom Alphin and Katie Huffman Alphin on February 2, 1928 in LaGrange, North Carolina. One of nine children, Ken joined the U.S. Merchant Marines at the age of 15 to help support his family during the great depression. He enjoyed serving his country and being close to the water that he later joined the U.S. Navy and fought during WWII.
He was an active member of Hurt Road Baptist Church for many years. He had served as past financial advisor for the church and considered his Sunday School Class, the "Brotherhood," to be a very important part of his life.
Ken was very active in helping those less fortunate. He loved animals, children, and had even taken on an adopted child through the World Organization Program for third world children. His late wife, Ruby, also donated her time and efforts to the Salvation Army.
A self made man, Ken read every book in the world that he could lay his hands upon. He had started his own jewelry business, Alphin Wholesale on Bankhead Highway in Mableton.
Kenneth "Ken" Wayne Alphin is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Ruby Sandlin Alphin and son, Kenneth Wayne Alphin Jr. He is survived by his daughters, Debbie and her husband Walter Cobb of Greenville, North Carolina, Sharon Croft of Smyrna, Connie and her husband John Thompson of Douglasville, Karen A. Biddy of Smyrna, and Kathy and her husband Ricky McKinney of Mableton; grandchildren, Danny, Julie and her husband Jason, Emily and her husband Mike, Tracey and her husband Wayne, Misty and her husband Scott, and TJon and his wife Jennifer; brothers, Al Alphin of Atlanta and Ray Suggs and his wife Nancy of Morehead City, North Carolina; sister, Betty A. Jones of Rome; and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from noon until 1:00 PM Friday, December 20, 2013 at Hurt Road Baptist Church in Smyrna. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM in the church's chapel with Pastor Mike Parker officiating. iIntermentwill follow at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton with Kenneth's grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers and his Sunday School class serving as honorary pallbearers.

James Charles McInturff

James Charles McInturff, age 64, of Mableton, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2011. James was born to John and Anna Lee McInturff on September 19, 1947 in Greeneville, TN. He was a member of Mableton First Baptist Church. James worked as a refridgeration technician for Sears. He also loved spending time with his beloved family.
James is survived by his wife, Julianne Zehner McInturff; daughters, Jenna Hall of Mableton and Page and her husband Sam Daniels of Powder Springs; son, Matt McInturff of Mableton; brothers, John McInturff of Greeneville, TN and Sam McInturff of Elijay; and three grandchildren, Bailey Hall, Lacy Hall, and Sydney Daniels.
Cremation will take place on Friday, November 18, 2011 through Gene Davis-White Columns Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Mableton First Baptist Church in Mableton. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.

Raymond Johnson Engrisch, age 75, of Mableton passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2011 in Austell, Georgia. He was born to Martin and Frances Engrisch on August 3, 1936 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a Mableton resident for 47 years and had many talents. He worked as a private investigator assisting law enforcement officers at the time.
He is survived by his wife, Fayenell White Engrisch; sons, Terry and Ricky Engrisch of Mableton; daughter, Brenda Taylor of Austell; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Cremation took place on Sunday, November 20, 2011 through White Columns Funeral Chapel in Mableton. A memorial service will be held in Raymond's honor on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. James Turner officiating.

A.J. Sears, age 86, of Woodland, AL, died November 26, 2011. He Retired in 1991 from Lockheed where he worked as a tool engineer. A.J. also honorably served his country from 1943-1945 in the Navy. He loved Gardening, refinishing furniture and attending antique auctions.
Survivors include his spouse, Alline Sears; 2 sons; Jack and his wife Ilse Sears of Villa Rica, Ron and his wife Beverly Sears of Mableton, 1 daughter; Beth and husband Doug Branan; 7 Grandchildren and 14 Great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife Doris Sears who passed away in 1991.
