Hulda Roberta Jones Vallotton, wife of the late Dr. William Wise Vallotton of the Medical University of South Carolina, passed away Sunday in Waleska Georgia where she had been living with her daughter. She was born and raised in Albany Georgia as the daughter of Thomas Benjamin Jones and Julia Pindar Jones, she attended Valdosta Women’s College, participated in dramatic dance performance, was an avid reader, enjoyed history and genealogy. She married
and raised her family in Charleston, SC where she was a member of the DAR, The Crescent Garden Club and John Wesley United Methodist Church. Her siblings included Daisy Jones Joiner, Beth Jones, Anna Jones Bruton, Tom Jones, and Helen (Ducky) Jones (surviving). She was eighty years old and is survived by her children Stephen Ralph Vallotton of Atlanta; Her daughter, Amie Vallotton Izaguirre of Waleska; Mark Hugh Vallotton of Charleston; and William Wise Vallotton, Jr. of Charleston. She has six grand children: Ben Izaguirre of Charleston, Avi Izaguirre of Waleska; Harriet Vallotton; Will Vallotton; Robert Vallotton of Charleston; and Allie Vallotton Peay of Columbia.

He attended California College of podiatric Medicine, where he graduated as valedictorian. He was hired as the First Staff Podiatrist where he practiced at Emory and Grady Hospitals. He worked to the diabetics clinic for 23 years. He once stated the highlight of his career was meeting Dr. Best the inventor of insulin. After retirement he moved back to Canton where he enjoyed renewing old friendships.
