Frances Virginia Mijal Moch
Frances Virginia Mijal Moch, age 72 of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away May 5, 2009 at Embracing Hospice in Cumming, Georgia.
She was born Aug. 4, 1936, in Manchester, to Matthew and Stella Jajesnica Mijal. Following high school graduation, she joined the Air Force and was a radiology specialist at Parks AFB in California. She was honorably discharged in November of 1957. She was married
to William Moch in May 1957 in Manchester, New Hampshire at Saint Joseph Cathedral.
She lived in New Hampshire, Germany, Kansas, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, and Taiwan before retiring to Alpharetta in 2000.
She enjoyed traveling, shopping cooking, decorating, and spending time with her family and friends.
Following the death of her son, Christopher, on April 30, 1975, from leukemia, she decided to become a nurse so that she could comfort others in need.
Family members, in addition to her husband of 52 years, include a daughter, Kathy Edwards of Arlington, Texas; a son, Bill Moch of Cumming, Ga.; four grandchildren; and siblings Matthew, Walter, Mary Jane, and Bonnie; and nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A graveside service will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. at Saint Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford, NH. The Rev. Joseph Cooper of Saint Joseph Cathedral will officiate. Following the service, a reception will be held at Puritan Backroom Restaurant, 245 Hooksett Road, Manchester.
Her family requests that you actively seek opportunities to support Ovarian Cancer and Leukemia Research.

Evelyn Tice Minton
Evelyn Tice Minton, age 64, a Registered Nurse for over 40 years, passed away February 6, 2008 in Lawrenceville, GA. She was a loyal and devoted mother and friend. She loved knitting, gardening, puzzles, and spending time with her grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Grace Tice of Clarkston, GA. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela; son James; and grandson, Nicholas, all of Lawrenceville, GA; her two brothers, Richard Tice and wife, Janice of St. Louis, MO, and Everett Tice and wife, Sharon of Centerville, IA. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, February 16, 2008, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends at the reception following the service. Teddy Mason
We came together to celebrate the gift of Teddy Mason’s life with a memorial service at Byars Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 5p.m.
At age 37 Teddy attended the Ga. Mountain Community Workshops. Teddy Bear was known for his vibrant and generous sprit, smiles, laughter and charm. Teddy Bear inspired people to be thankful for the gifts they have. He walked through life with an attitude of knowing he was thoroughly loved by all around him and that was all he needed to live his life his own way.
He is survived by his mother and father, Walt and Mary Ann Mason; brothers and sister-in-laws, Walt Jr., Rebecca, Kirk and Debbie; his nephews, Christopher and Stefan and his extended family Gladys James and family.

Elizabeth Boyce Loyd
Elizabeth Boyce Loyd, 60, died March 21, 2009. She was born to Hardy S. and Ruth M. Boyce on January 22, 1949 in Sherman, TX. She graduated from Ryder High School and married
Jerry A. Loyd of Wichita Falls, TX on October 28, 1967. After following Jerry's career to Atlanta in 1971, she gave birth to two children. She and Jerry lived in Atlanta until moving to McIntosh Co. on Coastal GA in 1999. They lived there until returning to Cumming, GA to be closer to the grandchildren in 2007. Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at GA State University in 1980 and her Masters of Social Work from The University of GA in 1985. She was a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, A Board Certified Diplomat in Social Work and A Certified Professional Coach. After working in psychiatric hospitals in the Atlanta area, she was a private practitioner and consultant in Mental Health, Personnel Management and Training for over 20 years. As President of Elizabeth Loyd and Associates she offered personal coaching, seminars, workshops, weekend retreats and leadership training, to individuals, groups and corporations. In addition to her traditional work, Elizabeth was a holistic trainer. She was a Certified Breathwork therapist, Certified Hypnotherapist, Certified Professional Life Coach and Reiki Master. She loved spending time with her family, dancing, being surrounded by good books, reading, laughing with friends, drinking fine wine and a good margarita. One of the things she and Jerry shared was the love of travel and they managed to get to many of the important sites in the world. Some of her most memorable trips were to South Africa, Ireland and Europe.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jerry A. Loyd of Cumming, GA, Amy (Michael) Johnson of Tega Cay, SC, Emily (John) Cunningham of Cumming, GA, grandchildren Cole and Grace Johnson and Tyler and Caroline Cunningham, brother James (June) Boyce and niece and nephew Ruth and Charlie Boyce of Austin, TX, and stepmother Barbara Boyce of Van Alstyne, TX.
Special thanks Dr. Nishan Fernando and the staff of Georgia Cancer Specialists for their dedication and compassion. The family will receive visitors on Friday, March 27, 2009 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Loyd home. Preston P. Kellogg
Mr. Preston P. Kellogg, age 78, of Cumming passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Mr. Kellogg attended Ohio State University and Georgia State University gaining an MBA. During the Korean War he was a Marine Aviator flying combat missions from aircraft carriers. After his retirement from the military he was hired by Southern Airways, Inc. and advanced to the rank of Captain and was Chief Pilot of Southern Miami crew base. He flew as a captain with Southern’s Successors Republic and Northwest Airlines. Mr. Kellogg was preceded in death by his parents Preston, Sr. and Mildred Kellogg.
Survivors include, wife Barbara Kellogg of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, Joe & Mary Wetherington of Lilburn; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy & Tom Haman of Suwanee; daughter, Susie Wetherington of Monroe; sisters, Mary Kellogg of New York and Martha Van Sickle of Boulder, Colorado. Nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survived.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Kellogg will be 3 PM, Sunday, August 10th at Byars Funeral Home in Cumming.

Colonel Wallace Evans Jarboe
Colonel Wallace Evans Jarboe, age 88 of Suwanee passed away Saturday, April 18, 2009. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at First Redeemer Church in Cumming with Dr. Richard Lee officiating. iIntermentwill be at Arlington National cemetery in Washington, D. C. with full military honors. Colonel Jarboe enlisted in the U.S. Army, Med. Dept. in 1938 at age 18, and commissioned a Second Lieutenant, Medical Administrative Corps (MAC) upon completion of OCS in December 1941. During World War II, he was commissioned in the Regular Army, and in 1949 transferred to the U. S. Air Force where he had three tours in Washington, D. C. at Hq. USAF. He retired from the USAF in February 1970 as chief of AF Medical Facility Planning and Construction in the USAF, Surgeon General’s Office, Hq. USAF. From February 1971 to January 1985, he had a second career at Duke University as the project director for the planning, programming, design and construction of a 616 bed hospital. From 1981 to 1987, he served as Executive Director of the City of Medicine Program. He was elected President in November of 1991 of a newly formed USAF Medical Service Corps Association representing 2,500 active and retired commissioned officers. He received the Bronze Star for service in Italy, The Legion of Merit Award upon retirement from the USAF, and was Faculty Emeritus at Duke University Medical Center, one of the first hospital administrators to receive that honor.
Colonel Jarboe was preceded in death by his Parents George and Amanda Jarboe, Wife Betty Jo Jarboe and Daughter Elizabeth Jarboe Cheney. Survivors include his wife, Ava Hart Jarboe of Suwanee; daughter & son-in-law, Patti and Bobby Dwyer of Williamsburg, VA; step-daughter & son-in-law, Laurie and Shawn Loud of Cumming, GA; step-on & daughter-in-law, Brian and Pam Sheffield of Canton, GA; step-son, Brent Sheffield of Marietta. Eight grandchildren, Patrick and Peter Dwyer, Ashley and Whitten Loud, Alex and Matthew Cheney and Travis and Trevor Sheffield also survived.
