Survivors Include: Two sons, Johnny Barnes of Dahlonega and Thomas Oglesby of Dawsonville; brother, Danny Watkins of Macon; sister, Debra Frady of Cumming. Two grandchildren Trey Barnes and Leah Oglesby.

Mrs. Faye Neighbors, age 79 of Cumming, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years Mr. Linn Neighbors of Cumming; son, David & Lynne Neighbors of New Mexico; son, Tim & Kathy Neighbors of Cumming; sisters, Mary Lou Hampp of Easton, Maryland, Dorothy Towler of Ypsilanti, Michigan and Margie Murph of El Dorado, Arkansas. Grandson, Nick Neighbors also survived.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Henry G. Neander
Henry G. Neander, age 90, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009. A World War II veteran and Purple Heart recipient who is remember as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and father in-law. He is survived by his loving wife Julia of 59 years, daughter Teresa, sons Richard and James, sisters Diana and Ida and is brother of the late William Guerra.
From 1942 to 1945, Mr. Neander served as an army engineer in Company B 304th Combat Battalion. He received a Bronze Star and Purple Heart after being injured in France on October 21, 1944.
He will be remembered as a loving family man who had a special place in his heart for children. He moved to Brooklyn NY from Puerto Rico at the age of five and resided there most of his life. He loved the outdoors; his favorite pass times were gardening and fishing.
A funeral mass will be held Monday March 23, 2009 at Saint Brendan's Catholic Church in Cumming GA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Claudia Stowe Moss, 85, of Dunwoody, Ga., formerly of Gaffney, passed away Saturday morning, Nov. 29, 2008 at Embracing Hospice House in Cumming. Mrs. Moss was the widow of Charles Moss and daughter of the late William and Pearl Alice Reid Stowe.

Mrs. Martha Ann Lyons, age 72 of, Dunwoody, GA passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009.
She was a devoted wife for 48 years and loving mother. Martha was a retired Registered Nurse. She was employed, by Holy Innocents Episcopal School, where she had been employed for 19 years before her retirement.Martha was a graduate from the University of North Carolina School of Nursing, class of 1959. She was a member of the Serving Together Women’s Circle at Dunwoody United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William R. “Bill “ Lyons of Dunwoody, Ga.; son, William Eric Lyons of Cumming, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and John Blomquist of Cumming, Ga.; brother, Charles Crawford Poindexter and sister-in –law, Ginny Poindexter of Beaufort, NC; niece, Margaret Poindexter of Raleigh, NC; granddaughters, Emily and Sarah Blomquist both of Cumming., GA.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 21, 2009 at Midway Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia with Pastor Dean Ropp officiating.

Darliss “Dar” Long
Mrs. Darliss “Dar” Long, age 56 of Dawsonville passed away Thursday, July 9th, 2009. Dar was a member of Christ Fellowship Church and was very active as an usher, prayer team and home ministries. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert “Bobby” Cathcart, Jr. and her parents, Robert and Clora Cathcart.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Long of Dawsonville; son, Nate & Tammy Tull of Dahlonega; daughter, Meshka & Scott Bailey of Cumming. Three grandchildren, Samuel and Jeremiah Bailey and Zoey Tull also survived.
A Memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 11th at Christ Fellowship Church in Dawsonville with Pastor Ricky Stepp officiating.

Marion C. Lewin
Marion C. Lewin of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on November 8, 2008 at the age of 93. She was born Marion Charlotte Chambers in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in Quincy, Massachusetts. A graduate of Bridgewater State College, Mrs. Lewin made a career as a second grade teacher. In December of 1942, she married
Leon F. Lewin, also of Quincy. Together, they raised two sons, Frederick and John in Quincy and Norwell, Massachusetts.
Marion loved her family and friends, teaching, primitive antiques, card games, and the State of Maine. Leon and Marion spent most of their retirement years in Plymouth, Massachusetts, happily visiting their favorite people and places. She treasured her grandchildren.
Shortly before her husband’s death in 1998, the couple moved to Tamarac, Florida. Later, she resided in Plantation, Florida.
She is survived by her sons, Frederick Lewin of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and John Lewin of Cumming, Georgia. She will be deeply missed by her daughters-in-law, Jane Lewin of Millinocket, Maine, Joanna Lewin of Clinton, New Jersey, and Gail Lewin of Cumming, Georgia. Marion was “Grammy” to Jennifer Lewin of Montgomery, Texas and Matt Lewin, of Jupiter, Florida. She was Great-Grandmother to Keith Buzzar of Coconut Creek, Florida.

Kevin J. Walsh, age 43 of Gainesville passed away Monday, October 13, 2008 at his residence. Kevin was a devoted Father, Husband, Friend and Colleague.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years Jackie Walsh of Gainesville; three sons, Steven, Alec and Eric all of Gainesville; brother, Michael Walsh; sisters, Patricia Walsh and Martha Lebbano. Kevin will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
