Geraldine B. Dees
Geraldine B. Dees, age 80 of Buford passed away Monday, December 29, 2008 at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her Husband Ed Dees in 1988.
Mrs. Dees was in the choir at the church and a 20-year member. She was an avid swimmer and a member of the YMCA masters swim team. She loved teaching the children at the YMCA how to swim giving them swim lessons.
Survivors include her son and daughter-In-law, Tommy & Lynn Dees of Buford; sisters, Doris Parnell and Faye Tucker both of Brunswick. Two granddaughters, Dana & Russell Frasier of Auburn, Georgia, Erin & Rob Shawver of Flowery Branch and one grandson, William Thomas Frasier also survived.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 31st at First Baptist Church of Brunswick, Georgia with the body to lie in state at the church from 11 a.m. until service time. Rev. Jim Crandall will officiate. iIntermentwill follow at Palmetto Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 30th from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Byars Funeral Home in Cumming, Georgia.

John Coursey-Couch
John Coursey-Couch age 34 of Cumming passed away Sunday January 27, 2008. He was the founder and owner of Green Grass Landscaping Company, which he started when he was 15 years old. Through the years, he grew his business with enthusiasm And determination always taking care of his customers and always listening to what they wanted. John was a concerned, protective and loving son. He even bought a house next door to his mother, which gave them daily communication and time together. To his younger brother he gave guidance and motivation and was always eager to help him in any way he could. His passing has left a void in our heart that will never heal. Survivors include his mother, Sharon Couch; brother, Jason Couch; father, John Coursey III; aunt and uncle, Mark and Kim McClure, Wayne and Debbie McClure; cousins Patrick and Sean McClure, step father Emmett Couch. Funeral services will be 2 PM Thursday, January 31, at First Baptist Church of Cumming on 1597 Sawnee Drive Cumming, Georgia 30040. William Robert Childs
Mr. William Robert Childs, age 88 of Cumming formerly of Lowndes County, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Northside-Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, Georgia. Mr. Childs was a World War II Veteran receiving the Purple Heart. He was also a Mason with the Azalea City Masonic Lodge in South Georgia. He was a retired Electrician. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Childs in May 2005.
Survivors include his son, Buddy & Glenda Childs of Cumming; daughter, Sharon Cowart of Lake Park, Georgia. Eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survived.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 7th at Lake Park Church of God with Rev. Keith Sandlin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home on Monday, October 6th. iIntermentwill follow at Oak Hill cemetery in Quitman, Georgia.

William Bradford Bush
William Bradford Bush, 53, passed away October 5, 2009 from cancer in Woodstock, Georgia. Brad was born on December 17,1955 in St. Petersburg, Fl. Brad was the son of William and Elizabeth Leffler Bush Jr. of Sanford (both deceased). He grew up in Sanford, Fl. and resided in Osteen, Fl. on Lemon Bluff. Brad was a 1973 graduate of Trinity Preparatory School in Winter Park. He earned his Masters in Business Ass. Degree at the University of Central Florida and was a CPA. Brad will be missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his sister Molly (Rob) Pflueger and his three nephews Hunter, Grady, and Miles Pflueger all from Sanford, Fl; aunt Lila Walling of Homosassa, Fl; special cousin Buzz Walling (Stephanie) and their son Charlie and daughter Elizabeth; and many other cousins. Brad is also survived by the love of his life and soul mate Melanie Frost Ramirez and her four children Chad, Natalie, Craig, and Camille of Woodstock, Ga; and best friends Wade Compton (Jennifer) of Casselberry, Fl, and David Woodruff (Laura)of Birmingham, Al.
A celebration of Brad's life will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation in Marietta, Ga. officiated by Father Paul McCabe on Saturday, October 24th at 3 p.m. Floral contributions can be made or a donation to the Salvation Army.

Charlotte Frances Wiley Bradbury
Charlotte Frances Wiley Bradbury, age 78, of Cumming Georgia, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2008. She went peacefully in the night after a 4-year battle from suffering three strokes. Known to most as Frances, she was born on July 23, 1929 in Covington, KY. She married
Wayne Bradbury in October 1948 and was blessed with four daughters and a son. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986 and two of her children, Jay Bradbury of Highland, CA (2006) and Joyce Sullivan of Duluth, GA. (2000). Frances was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her daughters Judi Bradbury of Cumming, GA; Jeanne Gibson of Cumming, GA; and Julia Chism of Springfield, MO. Additionally, her son-in-law Steve Gibson of Cumming, GA and her daughter-in-law Sherri Bradbury of Highland, CA; survives her. Her grandson’s Dan and Justin Gibson of Cumming, GA, and Jon, Daniel and Matt Bradbury and granddaughter Melanie Green of Highland, CA along with two great-grandchildren, Chris and Jolie Green also survived Frances.
A small family and friends memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 28 at the home of Steve and Jeanne Gibson at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to the American Heart Association.

Darla Diane Berry
Darla Diane Berry, age 71 passed away Thursday, August 13, at Northside-Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, Ga., after bravely battling complications from recent injuries.
Born May 20, 1938, Darla was a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife of 42 years. Primarily a resident of Akron and Uniontown, she graduated from East High, attended the University of Akron, and devoted much of her life to being a mother and homemaker. She and her loving husband, David, relocated to Sun City West, Arizona in 2000.
Darla was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jane Blevins. She is survived by her father, Woodrow Blevins and her step-mother, Leah; husband, David Berry; son, Garin Berry; daughter-in-law, Laura Berry; and grandsons, Brock and Jacob Berry.
A memorial service honoring Darla Berry will be held on Saturday, August 22nd in Arizona.
After coping with severe arthritis for much of her adult life, the family requests donation to the Arthritis Foundation www.arthritis.org in lieu of flowers.

Richard James Bardgett
Richard James Bardgett, 73, Cumming, Ga, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. He was a graduate of St. Louis University, a US Army Veteran and was a sales executive for various Fortune 500 companies for over 25 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Fleck.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol A. Bardgett; three daughters, Debbie Tully of Cincinnati, Oh, Diane Kelley and Donna Rivers of Atlanta, Ga. and one son, Dan Bardgett of Chicago, Il. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Benedicts Catholic Church, 11045 Parsons Rd., Duluth, Ga, 30097 with Father Paul Flood officiating.

Passed Away: 03/07/2009 Rosalie Pruitt Banks, age 96 of Durham, NC, Louisburg, NC, and Helen, Georgia passed away at Willow Garden Assisted Living in Toccoa, Georgia on Saturday, March 7. 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Clarence “Harry” Banks, Jr.
Survivors include her son, Bill Banks and wife Robin of Gastonia, North Carolina; daughter, Marti Kimsey and husband Bill of Robertstown, GA; sister, Ruby Parks of North Wilkesboro, NC; grandchildren, Barton Kimsey and wife Anne of Gainesville, GA; Billy Kimsey of Oakwood, GA; Andy and Mark Banks of Raleigh, NC; Dede Banks Smith and husband Steve of Arlington, VA.
