James C. “Bill” Williams
Mr. James C. “Bill” Williams, 80, of Gainesville, GA died March 13, 2005 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A native of Social Circle, Mr. Williams had lived in Gainesville for the past 24 years, moving from Stone Mountain. He was retired from Ford Motor Company as Superintendent of the Paint Department and was a Mason and a Shriner.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret “Peggy” Williams of Gainesville; daughters, Pat Williams Fernety of Conyers, Connie Williams Case of Cumming; a son, Larry Portwood of Cleveland, GA; sister, Diana Daws Preston of Flowery Branch; brothers, Ralph Williams of Bethlehem, GA, Ronnie Daws of Carnesville, Bob Daws of Germany, Irby Williams of Mansfield; grandchildren, Greg Alford of Loganville, Ken Atha of Bold Springs, Lindsey Alexis Case and Cory James Case, both of Cumming; and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 15, at 2:00 pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Jackson officiating. iIntermentwill follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Joe Brown
Died Nov. 28, 2004
Jow Brown, 52, of Dawsonville died Sunday November 28 at his residence following a sudden illness.
A native of Summerville he has lived in Dawson County over 20 years. He was employed by Precision Fence Systems and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his father, Alfred W. Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Brown of Dawsonville; children, Shannon Brown, Sheena Brown, and Shea Brown, all of Cedartown, Lesley Land, Jenee Batten, Kelly Shaw, and Steven McNeal, all of Dawsonville; mother, Mildred Brown of Summerville; sisters, Margaret Brown, Wanda Cundiff both of Summerville; brother, Jeff Brown of Summerville; 12 grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1 at 11 a.m. at Amicalola Baptist church. Rev's. Scott Reece and Sven Mossinger will officiate. iIntermentto follow in the church cemetery.

Howard Lee Ross
Died March 21, 2004
Howard Lee Ross, 63, of Dahlonega died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at the Chestatee Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Ross was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from North Ga. College and State University. He had worked with the City of Dahlonega and the City of Dawsonville.
He was the son of the late Leroy and Adelaide Adams Ross and was also preceded in death by a brother Robert Ross.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Leann and Brad Funderburk of Winder; granddaughter Katie Funderburk of Winder; brothers and sisters-in-law Frank and Pat Ross of Dahlonega, Tommy and Connie Ross of Dawsonville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel Tyson of Gainesville, Mary and Dave Hall of Dahlonega, Fannie Weidner of Dahlonega, Ruth and Leroy Piper of Marietta, Brenda Young of Dawsonville; godson and wife, Thomas and Sherry Ross of Dahlonega as well as a numerous other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev's Lyman Caldwell and Junior Evans officiated. iIntermentfollowed in Mt. Hope cemetery in Dahlonega.

Mae R. Dill
Died March 24, 2004
Mae R. Dill, 89, of Gainesville died Wednesday March, 24, 2004 at Peachtree Christian Hospic following an extended illness.
Born in Randolph County, Ala., she grew up in Lineville, Ala. before moving to Hall County in 1955. A homemaker at her death, she retired from C.W.T. Farms aftermany years of service. Mrs. Dill was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Dill, son-in-law, J.C. Grant, parents, John and Belle Rice, and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Ellen and David Arnold Stowers of Gainesville, Christine "Chris" Wade from Cartersville; sons and daughter-in-law, William Charles and Sharon Dill of Cartersville, Robert Dill; sister, Bertie Young of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter.
Graveside services were held 1 p.m. Friday March 26, 2004 at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Franklin Grant officiated.

Lillian S. Taylor
Died March 25, 2004
Lillian S. Taylor, 90, of Dawsonville died Thursday March 25, 2004 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a short illness.
A lifelong resident of Dawson County, she was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Taylor, granddaughter, Anita Taylor, parents, J.M. "Milt" and Minnie Slaton, two sisters and a brother. In recent years she was cared for by family and friends, Anita Gooch, Barbara Hicks and Gail Murphy.
Survivors include husband of 68 years, Henry Taylor of Dawsonville; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Jere Hulsey of Dawsonville; daughter-in-law, Martha Taylor of Dawsonville; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Bob Waldrop of Conyers; brother-in-law Ray Taylor of Cumming; grandchildren Clint Hulsey, Melissa and Gerg Sheriff; great granddaughter Amanda Sheriff; as well as a number of other relatives.

Anthony J. 'Chip' Luppino Jr.
Died March 24, 2004
Anthony J. "Chip" Luppino, Jr., 45, of Dawsonville died Wednesday, March 24, 2004 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born in Huntsville, Ala., he had lived in Dawson County for the past eight years having moved from Cumming. Mr. Luppino was a former respiratory therapist at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. An ordained minister, he worked with many ministries in the North Georgia area.
Survivors include wife, Chari Luppino of Dawsonville; children, Brittany Treadwell of Dawsonville, A.J. Luppino of Cumming, Breanna Treadwell of Dawsonville, Lindsey Luppino of Cumming, Levi Luppino of Dawsonville; parents, Tony and Elaine Luppino of Herkimer, N.Y.; grandmothers, Eva Luppino of Mohawk, N.Y., Jane Adukiewicz of Herkimer, N.Y.; sisters Toni Noma of New Hartford, N.Y., Tami Yeager of Central Valley, N.Y.; brothers, Joe Luppino of Monroe, Conn. and Matt Luppino of Herkimer, N.Y.

Amy Nicole Martin, 18, of Dawsonville died Wednesday November 24 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A native of Gwinnett County, she lived in Dawson County for the past 10 years. She was a senior at Dawson County High School where she participated in the Audition Choir and was a former student mentor. She was selected funniest in the senior class superlatives and was the director of the after school program at Robinson Elementary School. She coached seven- and eight-year-old basketball for the Dawson County Park and Recreation and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include parents, Jeff and Rita Martin of Dawsonville; brothers, Zack and Austin Martin of Dawsonville; grandparents, Tommy and Linda Martin of Sparta, Buck Williams of Midfield and Connie Dial of McDonough; great grandparents, B.Y. Williams of Midfield, Ala., and Lucille Weeks of Birmingham, Ala. Aunts, uncles and other relatives also survive.
Memorial service was held Friday, November 26 at 2 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church. Rev. John Alexander and Rev. Randy Smith officiated.

James "Jimbo" McDaniel, 41, of Martin died Sunday November 28 at his residence following a sudden illness.
A native of Fulton County, he was a former resident of Dawson County for 20 years. Mr. McDaniel was formerly employed by Martin Marietta and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Neal McDaniel and stepfather, Aubie D. "Mac" McKenzie.
Survivors include wife, Angie Fritz of Dawsonville; daughter, Dannielle McDaniel of Dawsonville; sons, Ray Kennedy of Paducah, Ky, Josh Kennedy of Dawsonville, Kirk Kennedy of Hubert, N.C.; mother, Clifford A. Ashley Sue Bradford, 17, of Dawsonville died Wednesday November 24, at North Fulton Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A lifelong resident of Dawson County, she was a senior at Dawson County High School and attended Christ Fellowship Church. Ashley was a loving person whose friends were her life.
Survivors include parents, Michelle and Larry White of Dawsonville, Jeff Bradford of Buford; sister, Hannah White of Dawsonville; brothers, Cody Bradford and Dusty White both of Dawsonville; grandparents, Susan Biddulph of Dawsonville, Charlotte Bradford of Cumming, Faye and Lamar White of Alpharetta; special aunt, Stacy Blocker of Gainesville and other aunts, uncles and relatives also survived.

Beverly W. Johnston, of Cumming, 63, died November 18. She was a graduate of Humes High School in Memphis, Tenn. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law John arid Tammy Johnston of Dayton, Ohio, Chuck and Doris Johnston of Dawsonville, Chris and Roni Johnston of Cumming, and Frank and Jackie Jolmston of Memphis, Tenn.; sister, Shirley Joffe of Memphis, Tenn; brothers Jere Lee Yount of Lebanon, Tenn., Willian Smith of Memphis, Tenn., and Frank Domino of Oakland Tenn.; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Peggy Dowda Inman
Died Nov. 21, 2004
Peggy Dowda Inman, 63, of Dawsonville died Sunday November 21, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta following a brief illness.
A native of Palatka, Fla. she had lived in Dawson County for ten years having moved from Atlanta. She was a retired administrative assistant at North Georgia College and was a member of the Dahlonega Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard B. Inman and parents, Butler and Lillian Dowda.
Survivors include her children, Stacey Collier, Tracey Collier both of Atlanta and Tod Collier of Hunsville Ala; grandchildren, Max Nevins and Lily Nevins.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, November 23, at the Dahlonega Presbyterian Church with Rev. Frank Colladay officiating.
Shirley C. Glass

Shirley C. Glass, 59, of Dawsonville, died Friday November 19, at the Kindred Hospital in Atlanta following an extended illness
Shirley Glass was a native and lifelong resident of Dawson County and a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She had been employed as a seamstress at Hasco and Pro Group prior to her illness. She was preceded in death by her children Jennifer and Jeffery Glass, her parents Alvin and Clara Mae Castleberry, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Glass; sons and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Sandra Glass Alex and Lori Glass; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Kenneth Mulkey; brother and sister in law, Cletus and Verona Castleberry; grandchildren, Dana Woodall, Natalie and Ryan Glass all of Dawsonville.
Funeral services were Monday, November 22 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. The Revs. Lawton Burt, Rodney Pilcher, John Henderson and Steve Chadwick officiated.
