Matthew S. Patterson, 44, of Dalton passed away Friday, June 4, 2004, at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Patterson.
Survivors include his wife Denise and one son, Will; mother, Shirley Patterson; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Rowland Albertson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Sherry Patterson and Mike and Kathy Patterson; mother-in-law, Mary Cochran and father-in-law, Harold Cochran; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Angela and Len Hunt, Cindy and Mitchell Martin, David and Yvonne Cochran; nieces and nephews, Mandi and Blake Hill and Avery, Whitney and Hunter Smith, Lauren Albertson, Jaime and Bryan Beckler, Heath and Holly Patterson, Michael Patterson, Matthew, Mary Ellen and Jonathan Hunt, Ashley, Brandon and Chase Cochran, Beau and Bryce Martin.
The funeral is Sunday at 3 p.m. at Grove Level Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie Bridges officiating.
Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Rowland Albertson, Bobby Anderson, Brian Cockburn, Scott Merritt, Bruce Rainwater, Steve Speights, John Thomas, Randy Hollis and Mike Vaughn. A White Dove Release Ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mr. Rodney Land
Mr. Rodney Land, 37, of Chatsworth, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Murray Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Alvin Land; grandparents, Horace and Emma Land and J.C. and Victoria Stoker; niece, Natasha Elaine Land.
Survivors include his wife, Regina Land; daughter, Taylor Land; mother and stepfather, Elaine and Walter Roberts; brother and sister-in-law, Alvin and Melissa Land; sister, Anita Morrow; two nieces, Shania Land and Hannah Morrow, all of Chatsworth.
Services are Friday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Mattox officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
The family received friends at the funeral home Thursday.

Ms. Pamela Sue Hackney
Ms. Pamela Sue Hackney, 46, of Dalton died Friday, June 11, 2004, at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Darrell Hackney.
Pam is survived by her daughter, Jessica Hackney of Dalton; son, Corey Hackney of Dalton; parents, Winfred and Donna Stewart Hackney of Dalton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Tim Quinton of Dalton, Joan and Roy Southerland of Chatsworth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alvin and Ida Hackney of Chatsworth, Herman and Trisha Hackney of Dalton, Charles and Wanda Hackney of Dalton, Harold and Brenda Hackney of Marietta, Jack Hackney of Dalton, Linda Hackney of Rocky Face; special friend and caregiver, Karen Worthington of Silver Creek; nephews and nieces.
Services are Sunday at 2 p.m. at Cedar Valley Cathedral of Praise with the Rev. Clayton Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Little Prospect Memorial Gardens.

Dale F. Reagan
Mr. Dale F. Reagan, 54, of Gainesville, died Feb. 7, 2001, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville following a brief illness.
A native of Gastonia, N.C., he was the son of Fannie Reagan and the late Edward Reagan.
Mr. Reagan was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of Living Faith Sanctuary in Demorest.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Sue Reagan, Gainesville; mother, Fannie H. Reagan, Dawsonville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Garland and Jenne Reagan, Dahlonega, Steve and Ann Reagan, Ball Ground, Howard and Diana Reagan, Marshall and Eline Reagan, Butch and Sharon Reagan, all of Dawsonville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathryn and Elmer Smith, Gainesville, Barbara and Steve Kuhn, Greer, S.C., Carolyn and Dorsey Sweatman, Garnetta and Ronnie Fields, all of Dawsonville; aunts and uncles, Mary Lee and Harold Ervin, Gastonia, N.C., Cora Hardin, Juno, Hattie and Dewey Bailey, Cave Springs; and 19 nieces and nephews.
Services were held Feb. 9 at Living Faith Sanctuary with the Rev. Olivia Christopherson, the Rev. Clarence Manning and the Rev. Lawton Burt officiating. Burial followed in the Juno Baptist Church cemetery in Dawsonville.

Richard Karl Paulson
Mr. Richard Karl Paulson, 65, of Suches, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at his residence, following a brief illness.
A Brooklyn, N.Y., native and former resident of Arlington, Va., Mr. Paulson had lived in Suches for the past 11 years. He was the son of the late Karl J. and Veronica Ellis Paulson.
Mr. Paulson was retired as a Petty Officer First Class from the U.S. Navy having served in Vietnam. Mr. Paulson was very active in the community, especially with the Suches Volunteer Fire Department, was a member of VFW Post #7394 of Blairsville and was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Suches.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Patty Paulson, Suches; daughter, Kelly Paulson, Berkeley Springs, W. Va.; sons, Shawn Paulson, Suches, Kevin Paulson, Gainesville; sisters, Geraldine Piccolo, Martha Mack, both of Schenectady, N.Y.; brother, John Paulson, Rocky Point, N.Y.; grandchildren, Patricia Angeline Tanksley, Kane Paulson; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
At his request, Mr. Paulson was cremated and a memorial service was held Feb. 12 at Zion Baptist Church in Suches with the Rev. Rex Long and the Rev. Bruce Daniel officiating.
Members of the Suches Volunteer Fire Department served as Harmony pallbearers.

Garnett A. Dyer
Mr. Garnett A. Dyer, 82, of Dahlonega, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega, following a sudden illness.
A native and lifetime resident of Lumpkin County, Mr. Dyer was the son of the late Marion Lon and Carrie Moose Dyer. Mr. Dyer was also preceded in death by a sister, Ollie Fields; and brothers, M.B. Dyer, J.G. Dyer, and Irwin Dyer.
Mr. Dyer was a retired poultry and cattle farmer and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mrs. Emily J. Dyer, Dahlonega; sons and daughters-in-law, G. Kenneth and Brenda Dyer, Marietta, Thomas M. and Lavon Dyer, Cleveland; grandchildren, Kim Arnold, Tonya Warren, Candice Dyer; great-grandchildren, Ansley Arnold, Lindsey Warren, both of Dahlonega, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dyer, Hartwell; special niece, Lona Fields Turner; and several other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Services were held Feb. 13 at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Junior Abernathy, the Rev. J.R. Fields, and the Rev. James Heard officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Lona Pearl Blackwell
Mrs. Lona Pearl Blackwell, 80, of Dahlonega, passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001, at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Blackwell was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Town Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Blackwell; son, Drew Blackwell; and grandchildren, Henry Blackwell and Linda Blackwell.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Turner, Dahlonega, Annie Goeble, Cleveland; son, Homer Blackwell, Dahlonega; sisters-in-law, Fannie Grindle, Dahlonega, Odie Grindle, Gainesville; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 30 at Town Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Smith and the Rev. Phill Miller officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Allen Wigley
Mr. Allen Wigley, 79, of Dahlonega, died Monday, March 26, 2001, at Gold City Community Living Center in Dahlonega following a period of declining health.
A Barrow County native, Mr. Wigley had lived most of his life in Lumpkin County. He was the son of the late Frank and Millie Brady Wigley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Annie Kate Edwards Wigley.
Mr. Wigley was a farmer, having worked with Folger’s Poultry Farm and retiring from Fieldale Farms. Mr. Wigley was an ordained minister and was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jimmy McGinnis, Colbert, Peggy and Jerry Hatcher, Ann Wigley, all of Dahlonega; sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Wanda Wigley, Kenneth and Frances Wigley, all of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Jarrod Hatcher, Justin Hatcher, Neal McGinnis, Kim McGinnis and Kyle Wigley; great-grandchild, Molli McGinnis; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ethel Lou and Johnny Paul Jones, Corene and James Jones, Mrs. Allagene Beck, all of Dahlonega, Mrs. Chris Edwards, Murrayville, Robert and Gladys Edwards, Suwanee, George and Valorie Edwards, John L. and Alma Edwards, all of Dahlonega; aunt, Mrs. Emily Wilbanks, Murrayville; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Services were held March 29 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with the Rev. Dean Bryant and the Rev. Lyman Caldwell officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Lumpkin County.
