Funeral services for Walter Leonard Crutchfield, 71, of Lula will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Crutchfield died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at the funeral home.

James Bobby Williams
Funeral services for James Bobby Williams, 66, of Demorest will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home. The Rev. Sanford Kimbrell, the Rev. Matthew Mote and the Rev. Lester Palmer will officiate, with burial in Clarkesville Cemetery.
Mr. Williams died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Habersham County Medical Center following an extended illness.
Born in Habersham County on March 27, 1937, he was the son of the late Jim L. and Ruby Foster Williams. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Ann Williams.
Mr. Williams worked in the maintenance department for the Habersham County Board of Education. He was an avid animal lover who also loved to landscape gardens and flowers. He attended Baldwin Congregational Holiness Church.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Palmer Williams of Demorest; daughter and son-in-law, Robbie and Randell Wade of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, James Roger and Denise Williams of Clarkesville; brothers, Leon Williams of Demorest, Michael Williams of Cornelia; sister, Kathleen Smith of Clarkesville; granddaughters and husbands, Bridget and Bobby Williams, Faith and Israel Segers; grandson and wife, Jake and Jeannie Williams; grandsons, Joe Williams, Nick Allen; and granddaughter, Larissa Allen.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today, April 8.

Laura Lucille Nix Maney
Funeral services for Laura Lucille Nix Maney, 84, of Baldwin will be held at 11 a.m. today, April 8, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel. The Rev. William Cox and the Rev. Mike Franklin will officiate. Burial will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Len Pirkle officiating at graveside.
Mrs. Maney died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Habersham County Medical Center.
Born in Rabun County on July 23, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Robert 'Rob' and Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Martin Nix. She was preceded in death by her son, Jewell Pruitt Maney Jr.; and siblings, Floyd Hunnicutt, Minor Hunnicutt, C.C. Nix, Rosalee Taylor Church, Mildred Williams and Magnolia Carlan.
Mrs. Maney and her husband formerly owned Maney's Suit Shop in Toccoa. She was a homemaker and was a charter member of Demorest Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Jewell Pruitt Maney Sr. of Baldwin; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Melvin King of Cornelia, Shirlee and Jarrell Williams of Cornelia; daughter-in-law, Joyce R. Maney of Oxford, Ala.; sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard L. and Jeanette Maney, Larry J. and Jane Maney, Bobby J. and Vicki Maney, all of Baldwin; sister, Bobbie Whitlock of Demorest; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Evelyn Wright Barron
Funeral services for Evelyn Wright Barron, 96, of Alto will be held at 3 p.m. today, April 8, at Bethlehem Baptist Church. The Rev. Furman Lewis and the Rev. Tommy Stowe will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Barron died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at a private nursing home following an extended illness.
Born in Polk County on Feb. 2, 1907, she was the daughter of the late William Howard and Alice Stephenson Wright. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. 'Bill' Barron; and granddaughter, Tara Hester.
Mrs. Barron was a school teacher, retiring in 1969 with 20 years of service. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Andy Waldrop of Alto; daughter, Alice Cunningham of Winston-Salem, N.C.; brother, Walter S. Wright of Rockmart; and granddaughters, Eleanor Kilpatrick of Knoxville, Tenn., and Liesl Marmon of Alpharetta.
The family will receive friends at Bethlehem Baptist Church from 2-3 p.m. today, April 8, prior to the service.

Graveside services for Taft Lee 'Pete' Leach, 68, of Cornelia will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell and the Rev. Lloyd Free officiating.
Mr. Leach died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Habersham County Medical Center.
Born in Habersham County on Aug. 10, 1934, he was a son of the late Monroe and Hattie Belle Tanksley Leach. He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Leach.
He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sisters, Delores Leach of Salisbury, N.C., and Christine Bowles of Gastonia, N.C.; brother, William 'Dub' Leach of Commerce; one grandson; several nieces and nephews.

Charles Ray Taylor
TIGER - Funeral services for Charles Ray Taylor, 61, of Tiger will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home in Clayton with the Rev. Thomas Burrell and layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion cemetery in Turnerville.
Mr. Turner died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at the Lanier Park Campus of Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
Born in Habersham County, he was the son of the late Fred and Inez Savage Taylor. He was a rock and brick mason and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul T. Taylor.
He is survived by three brothers, Robert Taylor of Tiger, Joe Taylor of Bethlehem and David F. Taylor of Canton; two sisters, Mae Jones of Tiger and Betty Smith of Lakemont. Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today, April 8.

Icie Belle Page Rickman
Funeral services for Icie Belle Page Rickman, 84, of Rabun Gap were held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2003, at Dillard United Methodist Church. The Rev. Doug Volk and the Rev. James Turpen officiated, with burial in the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Rickman died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Habersham County on June 10, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Henry Miles and Fannie Susan Turpin Page. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Newland Rickman; son, Jesse Rickman Jr.; infant child; sister, Jennie Fugate; and brothers, Norman Page and Jess Page.
Mrs. Rickman was a lifelong resident of Rabun County. She was a member of Dillard United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. She also served on the administrative council, evangelist committee, cemetery committee and church hostess committee. She always loved children and was involved with children's Bible School and children's programs. She was employed at Burlington Industries as a machine operator for 26 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Joann Dickerson of Rabun Gap, Mary Story of Clayton, Sue Jachode of Sabastian, Fla., Ruth Dunn of Milledgeville, Linda Dinkins of Rabun Gap, Nancy Burrell of Cornelia, Elizabeth Dixon of Tiger, Brenda Cook of Athens; sons, Joe Rickman of Danielsville, Claude Rickman of Rabun Gap; sisters, Margie Bleckley of Mountain City, Myrtle Speed of Clayton, Annie Wilbanks of Mountain Rest, S.C., Faye Marsengill of Clayton; brothers, Hubert Page, Ray Page, Cliff Page, all of Clayton; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for A.D. Williams Jr., 72, of Cornelia were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at Yonah Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Billy Harris and the Rev. Larry Free officiated.
Mr. Williams died Friday, May 30, 2003, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late A.D. Williams Sr. and Allie Payne Williams. Mr. Williams was a self-employed home builder for more than 40 years. He was a member of Hillside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Bellamy Williams of Cornelia; daughter, Denise Williams of Cornelia; sons, John Williams and Hank Williams, both of Baldwin, Danny Williams of Cornelia; brothers, Eugene Williams of Demorest, Jerry Williams of Cornelia; sisters, Geraldine Ivie of Cornelia, Winnie Mullinax of Demorest, Mary Ann Wilbanks of Baldwin; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Arlin Edgar Mize Jr.
Funeral services for Arlin Edgar Mize Jr., 74, of Clarkesville will be held at 2 p.m. today, June 3, at Stonepile Baptist Church. The Rev. Charles Webb and the Rev. John Humphries will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with the Rev. Larry Free officiating.
Mr. Mize died Saturday, May 31, 2003, at Atlanta Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Habersham County on Sept. 2, 1928, he was the son of he late Arlin Edgar Mize Sr. and Zollie Southerland Mize. Mr. Mize will be remembered most for his great love for his family. His life was totally devoted to his greatest treasures, which were precious moments spent loving his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a faithful member and deacon of Stonepile Baptist Church. Mr. Mize was a lifelong resident of Habersham County, where he was a full-time gifted farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Vernell Stockton Mize, to whom he was married
on Oct. 24, 1947; daughter and son-in-law, Joan and the Rev. Bobby Burke of Clarkesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Doris Mize of Clarkesville, Terry and Lavern Mize of Clarkesville; sisters, Mildred Wood of Clarkesville, Rosalyn Ridley of Valdosta, Barbara Holcomb of Waycross; sister-in-law, Willie Ruth Stockton Mize of Mt. Airy; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
