CORDELE -- Funeral services for Pearl Hayslip Davidson, 83, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2003, in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. Burial followed in Sunnyside Cemetery. Dr. John Smith and the Rev. Roger Hanson officiated the services.
Mrs. Davidson died Saturday, April 26, 2003, in Crisp Regional Hospital.
Soft music was played by Imogene Gilliam, pianist.
Pallbearers were Larry Hayslip, Neal Hayslip, Jerry Hayslip, Roscoe Hayslip and Bill Hayslip.
Members of Trinity Sunday School Class served as honorary pallbearers.
Rainey Family Funeral Services, 273-2231, had charge of these arrangements.
Sue Calhoun
CORDELE -- Funeral services for Sue Calhoun were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2003, in Northern Heights Baptist Church. The Rev. Tim Clark, the Rev. Ray Burnette, the Rev. Brent Duncan and the Rev. Royce Freeman officiated the services.
Marcene Freeman, pianist, accompanied Dennette McDaniel as she sang "It's Beginning To Rain" and "The Roses Are Beginning To Fade." Royce and Marcene Freeman sang "I Want Us To Be Together In Heaven." Charles Lucas sang "Drinking From the Saucer."
Pallbearers were Tony Pless, Stephen Guined, Randy Wiggins, Eric Calhoun and Jason Guined.
Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Hughes & Wright Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
Willodene Hobbs Priest Bond
CORDELE -- Funeral services for Willodene Hobbs Priest Bond, 83, will be held at 2 p.m. today, May 4, 2003, in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Tippettville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Bond died Friday, May 2, 2003, in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
A native of Crisp County, she was the daughter of the late Add and Stella Danforth Hobbs. She was retired from Gold Kist and L&M; Pecans and was a member of Tippettville Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jesse Daniel Priest of Hawkinsville; a daughter, Shirley Ann Priest of Smyrna; her mother-in-law, Marguerite S. Priest of Atlanta; a brother, Charles Hobbs of Carrollton; two sisters, Thelma Culpepper and Ruby Thompson, both of Cordele; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, the late Jesse Webster Priest and the late Roy Emmett Bond.
Visitation was held from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Clarence D. Rigsby, Jr.
Jan. 23, 1943 - Nov. 11, 2006
Clarence Rigsby, age 63, of 3380 Highway 41 North, Unadilla, died Saturday, November 11, 2006, in Houston County.
Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late Clarence D. Rigsby and Adele Black Rigsby. He was a US Army veteran, a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla and worked in maintenance at Dooly State Prison. Clarence enjoyed hunting and fishing.

His son, Greg Rigsby, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 15 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla. Rev. Joe Hughes will officiate and interment will follow in Walnut Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, November 14 at the funeral home.

Marion H. Hobbs, age 80, of 2448 Donald Avenue in Macon, died Saturday, November 11, 2006, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Born in Byromville, she was the daughter of the late James Clyde Harpe and Daisy Yarborough Harpe. She was a Methodist and retired from Snelling and Snelling Employment Agency in Macon where she was an employment counselor. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter Harpe of Warner Robins, Harry Harpe of Chattanooga, TN and Billy Harpe of Lilly. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Frances Watson of Atlanta, Thelma Lytle of Vienna, Elizabeth Summerford of Edison and Dorothy Harpe of Byromville.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 14 in Swearingen cemetery near Byromville.

Willard Stewart Morrow II
Jul. 27, 1935 - Nov. 14, 2006
Willard Stewart Morrow, II, better known as "Stu" died Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at his residence.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Willard Morrow and Georgiana Fawcett Morrow. He graduated from Oliver High School and Waynesburg College. He also attended the Carnegie Mellon Institute.
Of all the things Stud did in his life, as a volunteer for the ambulance squad and fire department in Irondequoit, New York, or as a manager at Xerox, or Berry Citrus in Florida, he was most proud of his children and grandchildren.
He was an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church USA. He served on the Board of Directors of Waynesburg College and the Presbyterian Home in Ft. Myers, FL.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marilyn Hunter Morrow. He is also survived by a daughter, Susan Morrow Fournier (Herve) of Switzerland; two sons, Willard Stewart Morrow, III (Brenda) of Florida and James Hunter Morrow (Andrea) of Florida.
His grandchildren are Dr. Ian Fournier, Zachary Fournier, PFC, James Hunter Morrow, Emilie Fournier, Brynn Morrow, Brett Morrow and Willard Stewart Morrow, IV.
Stu retired in February of 2006 and he and Marilyn came to Vienna to enjoy their retirement. Hurricane chased them from Ft. Myers to seek the safety and solitude of Vienna. He enjoyed the historically preserved homes here. In July, he became ill with a cancer and praised the wonderful church family of Vienna United Methodist Church for their constant support through his final, difficult days.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 20 in Vienna United Methodist Church. Rev. Ron Smith will officiate.

Louise L. Blankinship, age 93, of Vienna, died Monday, November 20, 2006, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.
Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Edward Loper and Meta Jones Loper. She was a member of Bakerfield Baptist Church, a homemaker and the widow of Bernard M. Blankinship.
