UNADILLA Funeral services for Julian L. Sanders, 87, will be held at 3 p.m. today, Nov. 24, 2004, in Harmony Baptist Church with burial to follow in Harmony-Smyrna Cemetery.
Mr. Sanders died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at his residence.
Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late Noah Freeman Sanders and Willie Alsobrook Sanders. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a farmer. Mr. Sanders was a member of Smyrna Independent Methodist Church where he was a Steward. He attended Harmony Baptist Church and the Mens Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Freeman Sanders.
Survivors include his wife, Doris P. Sanders of Unadilla; a daughter, Linda (Gloy) Hobbs of Vienna; sons, Wayne (Linda) Sanders and Joe Sanders of Unadilla; sisters, Bertha Lindsey of Unadilla, and Martha Evans of Dublin; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

L.O. Hob Peebles Sr.
PITTS Funeral services for L.O. Hob Peebles Sr. will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 24, 2004, at Pitts Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Pitts Cemetery. The Revs. Jack Dowdy and Royce Freeman will officiate the services.
Mr. Peebles died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at his residence.
Born July 4, 1920, in Wilcox County, he was the son of the late Clyde Lyston Peebles and Floy Osborne Peebles. He was a farmer and member of the Pitts Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a member of the Rochelle Masonic Lodge #190 F&AM; and was former director of Colony Bank. He also was a former mayor of Pitts and a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Peebles of Pitts; two sons, Pete (Kay) Peebles of Pitts, and Furman (Maxine) Peebles of Rochelle; a daughter, Tena Peebles of Douglasville; a sister, Sarah P. Royal of Ashburn; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Samuel Ulysses Collins
CORDELE Samuel Ulysses Collins, 79, of Cordele died at Crisp Regional Nursing & Rehab Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004.
He was born Saturday, Nov. 7, 1925, the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Collins and Mary Edna Smith Collins.
Graveside services will be Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at 11a.m.
He is survived by a brother, James Henry Collins of Cumming; a sister, Sadie Pitts of Tifton; nephews, Terry Wadford of Cordele, Jim Collins of Hickory, N.C., and John Collins and Joe Collins both of Cumming; nieces, Debra West and Ann Collins both of Cumming.
Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. until time for the service.

VIENNA Funeral services for Nubie B. Davis, 99, of Vienna were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at Pinehurst Baptist Church with burial following in Pinehurst City Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis died Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, in a local hospital.

ROCHELLE Funeral services for Dennis L. Warren, 63, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 23, 2004, in Pope City Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pope City Cemetery. The Revs. Danny Allen and Chuck Taylor will officiate the services, directed by Frazier & Son Funeral Home of Rochelle.
Mr. Warren died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, in Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.

ARABI Louise M. Pate, 76, of Arabi died at her residence Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004.
Born Wednesday, May 23, 1928, in Cordele, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Musselwhite and Clara Whiddon Musselwhite. Mrs. Pate was a homemaker and a member of Arabi Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 23, 2004, at Arabi Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Geoffrey Pate Sr. of Arabi; her children, Shirley Burke of Jacksonville, Fla., Johnny Pate and wife, Nancy of Jacksonville, Fla., Sandra Odom and husband, Jimmy of Arabi, Roy Pate and wife, Lynn of Pitts, and Ricky Pate Sr. of Arabi; a daughter-in-law, Elaine Pate of Arabi; sisters, Bessie Lee Howell of Warner Robins, and Joyce McNair of Ashburn; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Geoffrey Pate Jr., and her twin sister, Elease Horne.

CORDELE Graveside services for Scott Malpass, 39, of Cordele will be held today, Dec. 1, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Sunnyside Cemetery.
Malpass died at Crisp Regional Hospital Monday, Nov. 29, 2004.
He was born Sunday, March 7, 1965 in Atlanta and was the son of Clarence Benjamin Malpass and Mavis Cross Odom. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Malpass of Cordele; his father, Clarence Benjamin Malpass of Winder; his mother, Mavis Odom of Cordele; a brother, Jeff Malpass of Forsyth and a sister, Sheila Summers of Sycamore.

CORDELE - Funeral services for V.C. Hilliard were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Rhine. Rev. Dan Jones, Rev. Larry Thompson, and Rev. Bill Jones conducted the service. Sam Hilliard gave the eulogy. Music was provided by Sheryl Bearden, Pianist, and Margie Jones, organist. David Hilliard sang "Surely The Presence" and Noris Ann Ward sang "Sweet Beulah Land". Pallbearers were Henry Hilliard, Phil Hilliard, Ricky Hilliard, Todd Hilliard, Dykes Hilliard, and Jay Hilliard. Honorary Pallbearers were Deacons of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.

CORDELE - Funeral services for Roger Thomas Stubbs were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 at Union Baptist Church at Pitts. Rev. Jack Dowdy and Rev. Buford Tanner conducted the service and Rainey Family Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements. Music was provided by Beth Bullock, organist, and Judy Stone, pianist. Sherry Stone sang "Holy Ground". The service was closed with Mrs. Stone and Richard Nutt singing "Im Feeling Might Fine".
Pallbearers were Anthony Burnette, Daniel Burnette, Darfus Holcomb, Rex Bullock, Al Crenshaw and Larry Bullock. Burial was in Seville Cemetery.
