NEW YORK, NY — Funeral services for Mrs. Claudia Mosley will be held Saturday, March 5 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the J.W. Williams Funeral Home with Brother James Wise officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethel cemetery in Cordele.
Mrs. Mosley died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 in New York.
Survivors include six loving grandchildren, Cynthia Cobb, Audrey K. Poole, Josefean A. Turner, Shelia Jones Addo-Aikins, Cathy Jones Foye and Victoria Haywood; eight great-grandchildren, Brian P. Cobb, Juel A. Cobb, Benjamin Maurice Jones, Syretah Jones, Khalida Jones, Audrey C. Poole, Claudia Jones and James Jones; and five devoted cousins, Carl Lamar, Dorothy S. King, Peter Shorter, Eura Lee Lamar, and Dorothy Rose Jones, all of Cordele.

Mary J. Dunaway
UNADILLA — Funeral services for Mary J. Dunaway, 72, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla. iIntermentwill follow in Walnut Cemetery.
Mrs. Dunaway died Wednesday, March 2 at her residence.
The family will greet friends from 6-8 Friday at the funeral home.

Doris Ann Respert
AMERICUS — Funeral services for Doris Ann Respert, 62, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2005, in Bethel Baptist Church in Vienna. Burial will follow in the Oglethorpe City cemetery in Oglethorpe. Dr. Bobby G. West will officiate the services.
Mrs. Respert died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005.
Born on Oct. 5, 1942, she was the daughter of Odessa Clark West and Willie “Bud” Daniels of Vienna. She was educated in the public school system of Dooly County. At an early age, she joined Bethel Baptist Church in Vienna. On June 3, 1981, she married
the Rev. Henry L. Respert. During their marriage, two families communed as one.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Henry L. Respert of Americus; her mother, Odessa West of Vienna; two biological children, the Rev. Dr. Bobby G. (Melvilla) West of Unadilla, and Shirlene (Alvin) Josey of Americus; four daughters by marriage, Adel (William) Sellars, Marilyn (Joe Lewis) Robinson and Carlis Wisdom all of Atlanta, and Minnie Jean Respert of Marshallville; two sons by marriage, John Lewis (Lenora) Respert of Atlanta, and Henry Marvin (Diann) Respert of Houston, Texas; six sisters, Betty Fluellen of Chester, Va., Rosalyn Daniels of Fayetteville, Willene Daniels of Ohio, Maudie (Bryan) Newkirt of New England, Delta (Ronald) Rawl of Decatur, and Joyce (Anthony) Henry of Stone Mountain; five brothers, O.C. Smith of New York, N.Y., H.B. (Addie) West of Miami, Fla., King (Betty) West Jr. of Albany, the Rev. O’Neal (Robin) Daniels of Riverdale, and Willie J. (Cassandra) Wellon of Cordele; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; seven aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Dorothy Lillian Gill
CORDELE — Dorothy Lillian Gill, 67, of Cordele died in Crisp Regional Hospital Friday, Feb. 25, 2005.
She was born Monday, May 10, 1937, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of the late Staley Sokolowski and Stella Kulwicki Sokolowski and the widow of Perry Roy Gill. She was retired from Cordele Uniform Company as a seamstress.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2005.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Clark of Roseville, Mich., Steven Clark, David Clark and James Clark all of Lincoln Park, Mich., Thomas Clark and Sharon Flanders both of Cordele, and Janet Tritschler of Perry; her grandchildren, Kiara Clark, Trudy Snyder, Nicole Clark, David Clark Jr., Susan Gewenda, Robert Clark, Gail Clark, Rachel Flanders, Andrea Flanders, Jessica Tritschler and Danielle Tritschler; a great-grandchild, Kimberly Gewenda; a brother, Henry Sokolowski of Northville, Mich.; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Solkolowski of Garden City, Mich.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Sokolowski and sisters, Mildred Booth, Clara Swindlehurst and Bernice Menard.
The family will receive friends at Rainey Family Funeral Services Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, from 7-9 p.m.

O’marion Antwan Lamar Jones
CORDELE — Baby Boy O’marion Antwan Lamar Jones, the infant son of Latossia Jones, was born February 20, 2005. Baby Boy Jones passed February 22, 2005.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2005 in the Church of God of Prophecy in Cordele with interment in Bethel Cemetery. Rev. Andrew walker will be officiant.

Kendrel Jones
CORDELE — Kendrel Jones, 65, of Cordele died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Graveside were held Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at 2 p.m. Burial followed in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Jones officiated the services.
Pallbearers were Matthew White, Eddie Canon, Tommy Hughes, Lee Bailey, Richard Bailey and Mike Brookard.
Mr. Jones was a native of Crisp County, a member of the Antique Big Wheelers Tractors and a retired maintenance worker for MoorMan's Feeds. He was the son of the late John Ken Jones and the late Zelma Mathis Jones.
Survivors include his sons, Ricky Jones of Cordele, and Todd Jones of Thomasville; a brother, Lee Jones of Cordele; his companion, Ruth Dobbs of Cordele; and five grandchildren, Clint Jones, Chad Jones, Will Jones, Hunter Jones and Emma Jones.

Mary Frances Bembry Lawson
UNADILLA — Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Frances Bembry Lawson will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Unadilla. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Don V. Moore will officiate.
Mrs. Lawson died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005 at her residence.
She was born in Dooly County to the late Dave Bembry and Ethel Miller Bembry. She was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Miller Lawson of Unadilla; seven daughters, Odessa Sheffield of Vienna, Dora (Ray) Cannie and Virgie (Logie) Talley of Macon, Susie Henry, Viola Adams Mae D. (Franklin) Jordan, all of Unadilla, Mary (Robert) Bizzell of Linden, N.J.; two sons, Rev. Willie (Margaret) Lawson of Macon and Charlie (Edna) Lawson of Milwaukee, Wis; a brother, Julius Bembry of Unadilla; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law and other relatives.

Opal Bowen Odom
Opal B. Odom, 88, of Warwick died at her residence Friday, February 25, 2005.
Born Saturday, June 3, 1916, in Carrollton, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie L. Bowen and Martha Melissa Borders Bowen, and the widow of William Abe Odom. Mrs. Odom was a seamstress and a homemaker, and a member of Warwick First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at Warwick First Baptist Church Sunday, February 27, 2005 at 2 p.m. iIntermentwill follow at Warwick Methodist Cemetery.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Anna Odom of Warwick, Cecil and Mary Odom of Cordele and Lee and June Odom of Sylvester; four daughters and sons-in-law, Shelva Jean and Mack Wood of Riverdale, Lela and Stan Giddens of Poulan, Karen and Don Barnes of Cordele, and Karla and Jerry Collins of Albany; a brother and sister, Raymond Bowen and Ruby Stripling, both of Cordele; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Odom; brothers, Malvin Bowen and Jimmy Bowen and sisters, Clyde Moon, Jewel Bowen, Hazel Hairston and Gladys “Tiny” Cook.

Mildred Smith
CORDELE — Funeral services for Mildred Smith, 69, were held Tuesday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Hughes and Wright Funeral Home. Rev. Jack Dowdy officiated. Music was provided by the Glorybound Singers. They sang “Heavenly Place”. Marcene Freeman played for the service. Burial followed in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Dan Golden, Steve McBryant, Derrell McBryant, Donnie McBryant, Ricky Murray, Michael Pollack and Roger Pollack.
Mrs. Smith died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005 following a traffic accident.
She was a native of Wilcox County and a retired Crisp County Health Department nursing assistant. She was the daughter of the late Joe Buddy McBryant and the late Louvenia Gilliam McBryant. She is proceeded in death by a son, Danny Joe Penny.
Survivors include her daughter, Elaine P. Eggleton of Mars Hill, NC; brothers, Alton McBryant of Pitts, Bill McBryant of Pitts, Verlon McBryant of Rochelle and Dwayne McBryant of Rochelle; sisters, Nell Murray of Cordele and Louise Hall of Seville; grandchildren, Corey Penny, Kimberly Penny, Shannon White and Michelle Messer; and eight great-grandchildren.

Evelyn G. Webb
CORDELE — Graveside services for Evelyn G. Webb, 83, will be held today, March 2 at 3 p.m. at Waterloo Baptist Church Cemetery.
She died Monday, February 28, 2005 at Cordele Health and Rehab.
A native of Irwin County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Tessie Layton Shifflett. She was a retired seamstress for Cordele Uniform and was a member of Omar Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Marlene Harpe of Vienna; son, Jerry Heard of Vienna; sister, Maxine Adamson of Atlanta; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials can be made in lieu of flowers to the Waterloo Baptist Church in Chula or to the Parkinson's Foundation.
Deacon Charlie McIntee
LILLY — Funeral services for Deacon Charlie McIntee will be held on Thursday, March 3 at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Forrest Chapel Baptist Church in Pinehurst. Rev. W.G. Grover will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Forrest Chapel Church Cemetery.
Mr. McIntee passed on February 27, 2005.
