CORDELE — Funeral services for Gracie Mae Houston will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, in the A.S. Clark School Auditorium. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Bro. James L. Hughes will officiate the services.
Mrs. Houston died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006.
The processional will be led by Hughes and soft music will be played. Hughes will offer prayer and Scripture will be read by Bro. Aaron Jones Sr. and Tim Houston. “Amazing Grace” will be sung and reflections will be given by family members and friends. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Funeral services for Willie James Milledge, formerly of Desoto, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, in the sanctuary of the Bible Study Center of the Saints of God-House of Worship in Albany. Burial will follow in the Floral Memory Garden in Albany. Elder Andre J. Anthony will officiate the services.
Mr. Milledge died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006.
The processional will be led by Pastor Arthur Wright and a congregational song will be sung. The invocation and Scripture readings will be done by appointees and the church choir will render a selection. Remarks and family tributes will be given by Korea Milledge and other family members. CORDELE — Funeral services for Billy Lee James will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, in the sanctuary of New Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Little Rock Baptist Church cemetery in Arabi. Pastor W.W. Wilson will officiate the services.
Mr. James died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006.

Ms. Williams died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006.

Mrs. Bryant died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006.

Buford Melvin Clark
CORDELE — Funeral services were held for Buford Melvin Clark at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006. The Revs. Tim Morgan and Royce Freeman officiated. Burial followed in Sunnyside Cemetery.
Marcene Freeman, pianist, provided soft music for the service and accompanied herself and Carol Register as they sang “The Old Rugged Cross.” Mrs. Freeman also accompanied Mr. Clark’s grandson, Matthew Clark, as he sang “In The Garden.” Matthew also sang “Homesick” to close the service.
Pallbearers were Ed Herrington, Randy Morris, Wayne McDaniel, Wayne Stephens, Harry Connell, Chad Harris, Jody Griffin and Ronnie Youngblood.

Opal M. Eiford
VIENNA — Funeral services for Opal M. Eiford, 84, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, in the Vienna United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Vienna City Cemetery. The Rev. Shane Green will officiate the services, directed by Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Eiford died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, in Crisp Regional Hospital.
Margaret Floyd Daniels
AUGUSTA — Margaret Floyd Daniels, wife of the late W.D. Daniels died Sunday, April 9, 2006, in the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Mrs. Daniels was a resident of Augusta for more than 50 years, and was retired from John P. King Mill. She also was a member of New Horizon Church of God.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2006, in New Horizon Church of God with the Revs. Ronald Holland, Joey Grizzle and Eddie Fowler officiating. iIntermentwill follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Serving as Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Mrs. Daniels is survived by daughters, Linda (Wayne) Josey of Waynesboro, Elaine McManus of Cayce, S.C., and Trisha Daniels Tipton of Vienna; sons, Leon (Lona) Daniels of Martinez, and Kenneth Daniels of Waynesboro; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mary Alice Cohen
ABBEVILLE — Funeral services for Mary Alice Cohen, 66, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2006, in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Burial followed in Cedar Creek Cemetery. The Revs. John Foxworth and Ray Sullivan officiated the services.
Mrs. Cohen died Saturday, April 8, 2006, in Pineview Health Care Center in Pineview.
Born June 16, 1939, in Ben Hill County, she was the daughter of Mary Wyl Rhodes Doster and the late P.E. Doster Jr. She had lived the greater part of her life in Wilcox County and was the retired director of the Wilcox County Department of Family and Children Services with 33 years of service. She also was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Wyl Doster of Abbeville; her husband, Norman Cohen of Abbeville; sons, Mitch (Lorri) Cohen of Cumming, and Phleet (Pam) Cohen of Abbeville; sisters, Eugenia Helms of Abbeville, Marty McKie of Rochelle, and Katherine Ray of Cordele; and grandchildren, Tyler Cohen, Bryce Cohen, Doster Cohen and Mary Thomas Cohen.

Master Walker died Saturday, April 8, 2006, from injuries sustained in a weather-related accident.
Helen Gray Crotwell
CORDELE — A memorial service for Helen Gray Crotwell will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2006, in Wenona United Methodist Church.
Ms. Crotwell died at her residence Sunday, April 9, 2006.
She was born Thursday, Oct. 8, 1925, in Newberry, S.C., the daughter of the late James Calvin Crotwell and Mary Helen Gray Crotwell. A retired Methodist minister, she grew up in Leesburg and came to Cordele after retiring from the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. She served as pastor of the Wenona United Methodist Church for two years and had lived with her sister and brother-in-law, Neal and Demp Posey since 1996. Ms. Crotwell was a graduate of Georga State College for Women and received her master’s degree in religious education from Emory University. She spent a year in Europe studying with the secord order of Taize in Switzerland and in the Iona Community and Lay Academy in Germany. She furthered her education at Harvard Divinity School and Union Theological Seminary in New York. Ms. Crotwell served at Winthrope College in Rock Hill, S.C., as Wesley Foundation Director at Duke University in Durham, N.C., in Methodist Campus Ministry and as Associate Minister to Duke University. She pastored several North Carolina churches and was the first woman appointed as a district superintendent in North Carolina. She also served on the United Methodist Hymnal Committee.
She is survived by two sisters, Caroline Good and her husband, Harry of Jacksonville, Fla., and Neal Posey and her husband, Demp of Cordele; two nephews, Demp Posey Jr. and his wife, Traci of Leesburg, and Jim Posey and his wife, Melissa of Arabi; five nieces, Lynn Dee Good of Neptune Beach, Fla., Carol Brown and her husband, Peter of Palatka, Fla., Jamie McLean and her husband, Jeff of Merritt Island, Fla., Susie Yazgi and her husband, George of Jacksonville, Fla., and Nancy Toman and her husband, Steve of Atlantic Beach, Fla.; and 16 great-nieces and nephews.
