Louise Emrich Flowers
ADEL — Louise Emrich Flowers, 90, of Adel died Monday, April 10, 2006, in Memorial Hospital of Adel.
She was born on Oct. 3, 1915, in Cook County to the late Sylvester and Ava Connell NeSmith. She lived most of her life in Cook County and was a homemaker and a member of Adel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jeff Emrich and second husband, A.W. (Andy) Flowers.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, LCDR William D. (Bill) and Mattie Ruth Emrich SC, USN (Ret.) of Adel; two daughters and sons-in-law, LaFaye and Charles Sansbury of Cordele, and JoAnn Stone of Adel; nine grandchildren, Danny Emrich, Bunny Emrich, Phil Emrich, Tommy Sansbury, Ricky Sansbury, David Sansbury, Susan Roobin, Mike Stone and Alan Stone.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2006, in the Adel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Land officiating. Burial will be held in Woodlawn City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mary Alice Cohen
ABBEVILLE — Funeral services for Mary Alice Cohen, 66, of Abbeville will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 10 at Cedar Creek Baptist with the Rev. John Foxworth and Rev. Ray Sullivan officiating. iIntermentwill be in the Cedar Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Cohen died Saturday, April, 8, in the Pineview Health Care Center in Pineview.
Mrs. Cohen was born June 16, 1939 in Ben Hill County, the daughter of the late P. E. Doster Jr. and Mary Wyl Rhodes Doster. She has lived the greater part of her life in Wilcox County and was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist church. She was a retired director of the Wilcox County Department of Family and Children Services with 33 years of service.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Wyl Doster of Abbeville, husband, Norman Cohen of Abbeville; sons Mitch Cohen (Lorri) of Cumming and Phleet Cohen (Pam) of Abbeville; sisters Eugenia Helms of Abbeville, Marty McKie of Rochelle and Katherine Ray of Cordele; grandchildren Tyler Cohen, Bryce Cohen and Mary Thomas Cohen.
Frazier & Son Funeral Home of Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Cedar Creek Volunteer Fire Department in Abbeville.

James (Honk) Smith Jr.
GRIFFIN — Funeral services for James (Honk) Smith Jr., formerly of Cordele, will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Nance & Sons Mortuary, LLC, 502 E. 17th Avenue with the Reverend Lorenda Ray, pastor of the Beautiful Zion Baptist Church officiating.
Smith died Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the South Fulton Medical Center in Atlanta.
He was born February 4, 1951 and was preceded in death by a loving mother, Mrs. Lula (Sisro) Smith, father, James Smith, Sr.; a sister, Ms. Marshanda Smith and four brothers, Cleveland Smith, Tommy Smith, Curtis Smith, and Ronald Buckle.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories; a daughter, Ms. Sonja Smith; three sons, James Smith, III, Ricky (Akealia) Smith, and Jontavious King all of Griffin; three sisters, Mrs. Revoin Corbin (Willie Holland) of Griffin, Ms. Annie Smith and Mrs. Debra McCrary (Harold) both of Cordele; two brothers, Jimmy Smith of Cordele and Artis Smith of Griffin; two aunts, Ms. Dorothy King and Ms. Velma Shorter both of Cordele; three uncles, Lamar Shorter, Thomas Shorter, and Clem Shorter all of Cordele; a great uncle, Johnny (Inez) Shorter of Cordele, a special great niece, Ms. Alexia Bowen of Cordele; four grandchildren, Aquavius Fletcher, Erica Smith, Daisha Smith, and Montavious Williams all of Griffin and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
Ms. Charlie Mae Brown
SYLVESTER — Funeral services for Ms. Charlie Mae Brown of Sylvester were held on Saturday, April 8, 2006 in the sanctuary of the New Beulah Grove Baptist Church in Sylvester with Pastor Karl Smith officiating the services.
Ms. Brown died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at the Moultrie Regional Hospital.
Ms. Brown was born September 27, 1957 and was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mrs. Leah Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memory; one daughter, Leah Chevon Brown; one sister, Idell (George) Bradley, six nephews, three nieces, several great nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

Larry James White
ALBANY — Funeral services for Army veteran Larry James White, 55, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2006, in the HOPE Center, located at 1604 Oakridge Drive. Burial will follow in the Floral Cemetery. Pastor Loretta Boges-Simon will officiate the services, directed by Nance & Sons Mortuary LLC of Cordele.
Mr. White died Sunday, April 9, 2006, in Albany.
Juanita Lewis
CORDELE — Funeral services for Juanita Lewis, 82, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2006, in Shady Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Billy Coley will officiate the services.
Mrs. Lewis died Friday, April 7, 2006, in Crisp Regional Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Harris of Cordele; a grandson, Gaither J. (Merle) Harris of Tifton; a god-daughter, Mary Rogers of Cordele; six great-grandchildren, Jonathan Harris, Gustavious Blunt, Gaither K. Harris and Marcus Thomas all of Cordele, Ticola Thomas of Kuwait (U.S. Army), and Terrell Roberts of Tifton; a devoted cousin, Elizabeth “Baby Doll” (Robert) Ashley of Cordele; special friends, Bernice Kellogg, Curtis Grant, Tywana Cheese, Simmie Nichols, Kiandra Cheese and Bessie Hightower all of Cordele; four great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Nathaniel ‘Zetty’ Dean Jr.
CORDELE — Funeral services for Nathaniel “Zetty” Dean Jr. will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, in Shady Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
Mr. Dean died Monday, April 3, 2006, in Crisp Regional Hospital.
A native of Crisp County, he was a correctional officer and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. He also was employed with Terri Lynn of Cordele, and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy after serving four years.
Survivors include his mother, Josie Mann of Cordele; siblings and their spouses, Lisa (Kerry Cross) Mann, Bertha (Arthur) Quarterman and Ruby Taylor all of Cordele, Evelyn Dean of New York, and Willie Mann of Dodge County; aunts and uncles, Joseph Mann, Eddie Mann and Kathryn (Alfred Porter) Mann all of Cordele, Lucy (Ray) Anderson, Christine (Jessie) Jones and Bobbie (Frank) Studamire all of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Bertha Lee Lattimore Outlaw
CORDELE — Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Lee Lattimore Outlaw, 67, of Cordele will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Outlaw died Tuesday, March 28, 2006 in Albany.
A native of Vienna, Mrs. Outlaw was retired from Crisp Regional Nursing & Rehab as housekeeping supervisor. she was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where she served as a financial officer, member of the senior choir and the food committee. She attended Holsey Cobb Institute of Cordele and was an active member of the Alumni Assoc. she was also a member of the American Legion Post 542 Auxillary.
Survivors include her children, Napoleon (Etheyl) Outlaw, Sr. of Stone Mountain, Jerome (Ola) Outlaw, Sr., Valerie Outlaw Black, both of Cordele, Victor (Saundra) Outlaw of Lithonia, Willie Dave (Mattie) Lawson, III of Albany; sisters and brothers, Betty J. Webb, Fannie Young, Rowland (Edith) White, Lucious (Mary) Lattimore, Dorothy Powell, all of Jacksonville, Fl., Yolanda (Bobby) Alexander of Atlanta, Jackie Lattimore, Rodney (Mashonda) Street, Samuel Morrell, all of Cordele; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends, thirteen grandchildren, five great-grands; aunts, Bertha Felton, Celestine Kimble, both of Cordele.

Clara Smith Hall
CORDELE — Funeral services will be held for Clara Smith Hall, 77, at 3 p.m. today, April 2, 2006, in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.
Mrs. Hall died Thursday, March 30, 2006, at her residence.
A native of Polk County, Mrs. Hall was born July 28, 1928, to the late Roscoe Smith and the late Ruby Lively Smith. She was a member of Omar Heights Baptist Church and was a retired seamstress with Best Manufacturing.
Survivors include her sons, Freddie Denham and his wife, June of Cordele, and Eddie Hall and his wife, Kathy of Leesburg; daughters, Debbie Martin and her husband, Daron, and Sammie Walton both of Cordele; a brother, the Rev. J.T. Smith and his wife, Betty of Cordele; sisters, Betty Sue Morrison and her husband, James, and Mary Jackson both of Cordele, and Patsy Kinard and her husband K.C. of Vienna; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Charles D. Woodall Sr.
CORDELE — Graveside funeral services will be held for Charles D. Woodall Sr., 58, at 4:30 p.m. today, April 2, 2006, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Woodall died Thursday, March 30, 2006, in Crisp Regional Hospital.
A native of Crisp County, Mr. Woodall was born May 16, 1947, to Edna Igene Killingworth Woodall, who survives, and the late Archie Edward Woodall. He was a disabled U.S. Army veteran and served nine years in Vietnam. He was employeed by Pizza Hut.
Also surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Barbara M. Woodall of Cordele; sons, Charles D. Woodall Jr. of Mobile, Ala., and Robert A. Woodall of Coden, Ala.; a daughter, Mary Woodall of Cordele; a brother, Jimmy R. Woodall of Japan; a sister, Martha Dee Woodall of Cordele; and a grandson, C.J. Woodall.
Donations may be made to a favorite charity.
Russell Earl Perry
CORDELE - Funeral services will be held for Russell Earl Perry, 60, at 4 p.m. today, April 4, 2006, in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.
Mr. Perry died Sunday morning, April 2, 2006, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 5, 1945, in Crisp County. His father, Russell Perry, precedes him in death. Mr. Perry was a farmer and member of the Crisp County Young Farmers of America and the Livestock Association. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are his mother, Elizabeth Wade Perry of Cordele; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rusty and Lynn Perry and Will and Melissa Perry all of Cordele; his companion, Judy Bragg of Cordele; a sister and brother-in-law, Opal and Renay Smith of Cordele; grandchildren, Thomas, Kaylee, Blake, Jordan, Taylor and Blair Perry; and several nieces and nephews.

Thomas Jackson 'Jack' Davis
CORDELE - Thomas Jackson 'Jack' Davis died Sunday morning, April 2, 2006, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 14, 1920, in Henry County, Ala. His mother, Vida Hollis Davis, and his wife, Betty Norsworthy Davis, precede him in death.
Jack was an avid lover of animals, therefore the family feels it is appropriate to suggest donations be made to Crisp County Animal Services Shelter Fund, 196 Highway 300 S., Cordele, Ga. 31015.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today starting at 6 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow on Wednesday in Dothan, Ala.
Mr. Davis devoted 47 years of his business life to the financial and insurance business. He was the owner of Local Finance Company and co-owner of Johnny Hearn Insurance Company. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church where he was a member of the Brotherhood and had served as treasurer. He was a member of the Lions Club for 58 years where he was a past director. He was a Gideon and member of the VFW, American Legion, Cordele Jaycees, Cordele Elks Club and was a past president of the Georgia Industrial Loan Association. He was also a Mason and a Shriner. A U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, Mr. Davis served in Australia and Okinawa from 1939 until 1947, and received a Presidential Citation for having never lost an aircraft for mechanical problems while squad inspector.
Survivors include a son, Jackie Davis of Cordele; a daughter and son-in-law, Vida and Dr. Will Waller of Rapid City, S.D.; two sisters, Anna Belle Smith of Dothan, Ala., and Margaret Sinquefield of Ashford, Ala.; two grandchildren, Claude (Tracy) Smith of Montgomery, Ala., and Ty Zachary of Rapid City, S.D.; two great-grandchildren, Lauren Smith and Tami Zachary both of Montgomery, Ala.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
