ALBANY - Funeral services for Linda Faye Ford of Albany, formerly of Warwick, will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, in the chapel of J.W. Williams Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Red Oak Cemetery, Doles. The Rev. Donnie R. Hall will officiate the services.
Ms. Ford died Feb. 7, 2006.
The processional will be led by Rev. Hall and a solo will be sung by Earl Clark Jr. Prayer and Scripture readings will be given by Rev. Hall or an appointee. Reflections will be given by family members and friends and the family will be presented with an African-American heirloom Bible as a keepsake from the funeral home staff.

BEAUFORT, S.C. - Funeral services for Shirley Ann Morgan Patrick, 59, of Beaufort, S.C., will be held Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Brick Baptist Church, St. Helena Island. Burial will be at 5 p.m. at Gum Creek cemetery in Cordele.
Mrs. Patrick Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Patrick was born December 10, 1946 in Crisp County, the daughter Marie Street Morgan and Albert Morgan.
She was a graduate of A. S. Clark High School in Cordele and Albany State University. While at Albany State she reigned on the Homecoming Court. After matriculating at Albany State, she was one of the first African-Americans hired as a Flight Attendant for Delta Airlines. After her marriage, she moved to South Carolina. She was formerly employed by South Carolina State University (then SC State College), Technical College of the Lowcountry (then Beaufort Technical College) and later became an entrepreneur. Previously, she was affiliated with Brick Baptist Church, St. Helena Island, Zont and the Lion's Club.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John L. Patrick, Jr.; her godson, Gregory Whittaker, II; her adopted mother, Lillie Mae Street of Beaufort, S.C.; three sisters, Lillie Vivian Morgan Watts of Santa Monica, Ca., Malendia Morgan Turner of Atlanta, and Marie Louise Morgan Hall of Fayetteville; one brother, Alfred Alexander Morgan of Conyers, and other relatives.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

LILLY - Funeral services for Barbara Wiggins Lloyd, 56, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2006, in Forest Chapel Baptist Church in Pinehurst. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Coley Clark Jr. will officiate the services.
Mrs. Lloyd died Thursday, April 20, 2006, in Crisp Regional Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Mandy and Artis Wiggins Sr. and attended Dooly County Schools. She was a domestic worker and member of Forest Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda L. Burden of Lilly; a son, Arthur J. Lloyd of Pinehurst; a sister, Shirley Granville of Pinehurst; a brother, John H. (Gloria) Wiggins of Dooling; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; an aunt, Mattie Breedlove of Vienna; an uncle, E.B. Leary of New York; and a host of other relatives and friends.

CORDELE - Funeral services were held for Hewlett N. Bartlett at 11 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2006 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Rev. Jack Dowdy and Rev. Royce Freeman officiated the services. Burial followed in the Sunnyside cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Youngblood officiating.
"Stroll Over Heaven" and "The Eastern Gate" was sung by Rev. Freeman and Marcene Freeman, pianist. She also accompanied Raymond Gibbs as he led a congregational song, "Just A Closer Walk With Thee."
Pallbearers were Raymond Gibbs, Gary Hickox, Allen Hickox, Jerry Raines, Alton Churchwell and Marcus Wehunt. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Northern Heights Baptist Church Brush Arbor Singers.

Born in Worth County May 30, 1921, he lived in Tifton the last 38 years and worked as a pest control technician. His hobby and passion were his miniature horses. He was a member of Presbyterian Church.
