Services for Judy Ann McIntyre of Rhine were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9 at Rhine Baptist Church with interment in Bay Springs Cemetery.
The Rev. Fred Parker and the Rev. Roy Williams officiated.
McIntyre, 35, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004 in the Dodge County Hospital. She was the daughter of Patricia Martin and Bob Pulliam and was married to Robert McIntyre. She was a Nurse Assistant at Dodge County Hospital.
In addition to her husband and parents, survivors include her children, Krystal Harrelson of Helena, Jennifer Allen and Sierra Parker, both of Rhine; sisters, Patty Bowen of High Falls and Ruby Young of Jackson; and brother, Martin Davis of Rhine.

Candice Wright Moore
Services for Candice Wright Moore of Eastman were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11 in the chapel of Southerland Funeral Home with interment in Vilula Cemetery.
Moore, 32, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004 at her residence. She was the daughter of Rudene Peacock Wright and Tommy Wright. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ruby Lee Peacock, Wilmer Peacock, Dorothy Wright and Tommy Wright.
She was born in Telfair County, was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her son, Jonathan Wright of Eastman; sister, Patience Wright of Eastman; brothers, Chris Wright of Alamo and Jason Wright of Workmore; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Alana Elder
Services for Alana Elder of Helena were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13 at Centilla Missionary Baptist Church of Helena with interment in the Mullen Hill Cemetery.
The Rev. John L. Smith officiated.
Elder, 18, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004 at Telfair Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of Joseph Elder and Cynthia Patrick.
She was a native of Fulton County, a 2004 graduate of Dodge County High School and a member of Chauncey Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her brothers, Hassan Beasley, Mendez Elder and Marquis Gordon; sister, Sherry Harris; grandfather, Robert Patrick Sr.; and grandmother, Sarah Wrease.

Ruth Elizabeth Smith
Services for Ruth Elizabeth Smith of McRae were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13 in the chapel of Lowe’s Funeral Home with interment in the Springhill Cemetery in Wheeler County.
The Rev. Gwinnette Aldridge officiated.
Smith, 80, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004. She was the daughter of the late Byron William and Vera Wilkerson Mills and was married to Christopher C. Smith of McRae.
She was a native of Telfair County and was retired from Roydon Wear of McRae. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Smith Angel.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her daughters, Donna Saunders of Morrow and Joyce Hartley of Athens; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Sallie ‘Doll’ Seay
A memorial service for Sallie “Doll” Seay were held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Seay, 75, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, she was the daughter of the late Augustus O. and Edna Johnston Harrell. She was the former owner and operator of the Earl Theater of Milan for 20 years and has researched genealogy for numerous families. A member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Ethridge Seay and a son, Joseph Augustus Seay.
Survivors include her children, Lewis E. Seay Jr., and David A. Seay, both of McRae; Sarah (Ted) White of Dublin, Jael (Bruce) Lucas of McDonough, and Jonathan (Kimberly) Seay of McRae; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Effie ‘Annie’ Thomas
Services for Effie “Annie” Thomas of Alamo were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16 in the Union Primitive Baptist Church with interment in the Alamo City Cemetery.
Elder Paul Thomas and Elder Huey Glisson officiated.
Thomas, 93, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004 in the Dublin Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Glenn Wesley and Elizabeth Clark Pittman and was the widow of William Clarence Thomas Sr.
She was a life long resident of Wheeler County, a homemaker and was a member of the Union Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth Aspinwall of Lake Como, Fla., Annette Nichols of Kent, Ohio, and Ruth Hartley of Alamo; sons, Willie Clarence Thomas Jr. of Burleson, Texas, and Vernon Thomas of Alamo; sister, Hazel Peters of Okeechobee, Fla.; brother, Hearn Pittman of Jacksonville, Fla.; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Lena Smith Branam
Services for Lena Smith Branam of Milan were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3 in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with interment in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald.
The Rev. Lowell Brock, the Rev. LeRoy Brock, the Rev. Alden Bowen and the Rev. Robert Osborne officiated.
Branam, 92, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004. She was the daughter of the late Randell and Annie Smith and the widow of George Lee Branam.
She was a homemaker and a member of United Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Clara Bessie Branam and a grandson, Jamie Branam.
Survivors include her daughter, Pauline M. Hulett of Milan; sons, Wiley L. Branam of Fitzgerald, James H. Branam of Valdosta and Clifton Branam of Tifton; sister, Nellie Plair of Tifton; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Joe Carswell Jr.
Services for Joe Carswell Jr., of Lumber City were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6 at St. Paul Baptist Church with interment in the Dillard Cemetery.

Carswell, 62, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004 at the Clinch Heath Care Center of Homerville. He was the son of the late Rev. Herbert Carswell Sr., and Susie Mae Carswell and was the widower of Nancy Carswell. He was a native of Wheeler County.
Survivors include his brother, Joe Lee Carswell of Lumber City; sisters, Anna Jane Carswell of Newark, N.J., Elizabeth Harper of East Orange, N.J., Jewel Carswell and Diann Carswell, both of Irvington, N.J.

Crumbley, 54, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004. She was the daughter of Charlie and Nell Grimsley of Helena.
She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Hope Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her son, Tony (T.C.) Crumbley of Helena; brother, Ricky Grimsley of Helena; sisters, Linda Smith of Pearson and Ruby Reaves of Helena.

Tillman Davis
Services for Tillman Davis of Helena were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31 at Zion Hope Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.

Davis, 46, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004. He was the son of Mealvina Miller and Quitman Davis and was married to Phillis Hutton Davis of Helena.
He was retired from the Maintenance Department of Wal-Mart Distribution in Douglas and was a member of the Zion Hope Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include his children, Amanda Burch of Nichols, Tillman Benjamin Davis of Broxton, Rachel Davis of Milan; stepdaughter, Cheyenne Little of Helena; sister, Terry Ann Smith of Douglas, brothers, Donald Davis and Neal Davis, both of West Green; and eight grandchildren.
