Claude Allen and was a retired sales clerk. She was a member of Mt. Paran Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral services were held May 21, 2006 in the chapel of Arthur Bowick Funeral Home. The Rev. Tony Dyer, the Elder Ronnie Loudermilk, the Elder Kenneth Brantley and the Rev. Russell Davis officiated and interment was in Westlawn Memorial Cemetery.

James F. Wiley, Jr., 92, of Social Circle died on July 5, 2006. He was born on Feb. 21, 1914 to the late James Fredrick Wiley and the late Nell Mobley Wiley. He was a life long member of the Social Circle United Methodist Church and held many positions in the church. He was the owner and operator of a hardware store in Social Circle for 60 years and member of Dawson Masonic Lodge No. 68 in Social Circle over 60 years.

Robert Allen Phillips Sr., 60 of Social Circle walked into eternal life, July 5, 2006 following complications from a heart attack. He was born in Tampa, FL, the son of J.B. and Pauline Phillips. Mr. Phillips was retired from Delta Airlines after 28 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Social Circle United Methodist Church where he had served on many committees and was past Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He was a member of John Darling Lodge # 154, the Masonic Low Twelve Club of Tampa and Delta Pioneers.

Ruth Thompson of Good Hope passed away peacefully at Hospice Atlanta on Monday, July 3, 2006. She is the former Sally Ruth Dickson of Waycross, born Feb. 17, 1914 and is preceded in death by her husband, Branan G. Thompson, Sr., and her parents, Essie Smalley and John Will Dickson. Ruth is a graduate of Waycross High School and the University of Georgia. She taught home economics in Eatonton where she met her husband, they were married on Nov. 24, 1935.

Fred Anton Hannak passed peacefully at his San Francisco home on June 25, 2006 from complications of prostate cancer. He was born on Dec. 8, 1928 in Bruenn, Czechoslovakia to the late Julius and Valerie Hannak. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years: Julienne Poulichet Hannak: his daughter: Kimberley Hannak Donaldson, his son-in-law: Richard E. Donaldson and his granddaughter: Julienne Donaldson all of Social Circle. He is also survived by his brother: Paul and sister-in-law: Anne Hannak, Fort Worth, Texas; his nephew: Mark Hannak (Nahida) of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and his niece: Hope Hannak Brunn (Christian) of Estoril, Portugal.

J.T. Wellborn, 91 of Monroe, died on June 23, 2006. He was born in Morgan County on Aug. 29, 1914 to the late Willie Paul Wellborn and the late Willie Love Joy Smith Wellborn. He was preceded in death by his wife: the late Claude Briscoe Wellborn and sisters: the late Frances Wellborn and the late Elsia Yansey. He was a longtime member of Braswell Holiness Church. He was also a Army Veteran of World War II and a EMT with the Walton County Hospital.

Mr. Baker is a U.S. Air Force Veteran and was a member and very active at Faith Evangelical Methodist Church in Douglasville for 40 years.
