RAYMON T. GUNTER
Raymon T. Gunter, 89, died November 15, 2004. He was born on May 25, 1915 in Walton County, Alcovy Mountain, Georgia. The family moved to Atlanta in 1925. He graduated from Tech High School and attended Georgia Technical Institute . He served in the Army during WWII. After thre war, he started Gunter Bros. at Whitehall and McDaniel Street in Atlanta. He sold the business to his employees in 1964. He moved to Lake Lanier and started Gunter'a Lanier Harbor dry storage and marina. He sold the business in 1972 and moved to Punta Gorda, Florida. He lived there until September of 2004. He passed as a resident of Crystal Bay Senior Living Facility in San Destin, FL. He is survived by his son, Christopher Allen Gunter and granddaughter Katherine Tolbert Gunter.He was preceeded in death by his wife of 56 years, Pat Thompson Gunter. Emily Florene Bradley Lamunda was born June 16, 1918 in Bonita, Louisiana. She died on Sunday, December 19, 2004 at her home following a lengthy illness. Florene met and married
her husband of almost 63 years in Little Rock, Arkansas. After military service they and their two girls settled in Hapeville, Georgia in 1952. Her husband, children and grandchildren were a vital part of her life. She was an active member of the Hapeville Service League and Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Jay Lamunda; children, Betty Jo Copelan and Jayne & Ed Hudson; grandchildren, Jeff & Gwen Copelan, David & Melinda Copelan, Jay & Beverly Copelan, Keri & Calvin Reykdal, Jenny & Darran Edwards and Michael & Stacy Copelan; and great-grandchildren, Alye, Megan, Christopher, Rachel and Sara Katherine Copelan. Hovsepian. She is survived by her children, Nancy Gaenssley, Mickey Hovsepian, and Dan Hovsepian; a brother, Earl Rosser; and six grandchildren. Mary Ruth Kimsey, 78, went to live with Jesus on October 21, 2014.
Mary Ruth was born on June 6th, 1936 in Ducktown, Tennessee. Mary Ruth graduated from Ducktown High School, then attended Georgia Baptist Nursing School. She married
Mark Russell Kimsey, Jr. in 1955.
Mary Ruth was a Surgical Assistant to several doctors. She worked in East Point, Georgia for Barber Auto Air as a secretary and then Lance Roofing and Inspection Services as a secretary and treasurer before retiring.
After retirement Mary Ruth volunteered in many capacities including Georgia Federation of Women's Clubs, as President in East Point in offices at the state level. She also volunteered at Southwest Christian Care, Christian City Children's Home and Arts Alliance in Union City, Ga. Mary Ruth loved people and was always looking for ways to help others.
She was an active member of the Hope in Prayer Class at Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church in East Point.
Mary Ruth was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Miller, her mother, Lennie Sigmon and step father Marshall Sigmon.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Russell Kimsey, Jr. A sister; Margaret (Junior) Mason. Brother; Joe (Wanda) Miller. Sons; Russ Kimsey (Hallie P.) Kimsey and Joe (Sandra) Kimsey. Grandchildren; Torie Kimsey Peterson, Jacob (Tiffany)Kimsey, Jenna Kimsey (Blake) Meharg, Logan Kimsey and Caroline Kimsey. great-grandchildren: Jayden Kimsey, Jailyn Kimsey, Jayliah Peterson, Lucas Stevens, Colton Kimsey and Leila Kimsey as well as many cousins, nieces and nepehews.
Services will be on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church in East Point, Georgia. The visitation will be 9:30 til 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. Graveside service will be at 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church cemetery in Epworth, Georgia. A reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church in Epworth.

Mrs. Frances (Daniel) Cowan, 90, wife of the late Julian C. Cowan, died on Nov. 16, 2003, in Conyers, Ga. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, at East View cemetery in Conyers with Dr. Jim Martin officiating.
Survivors include: daughters, Melinda Cowan, Susan Klem and Ina Jane Wundram, all of Conyers; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cowan was born in DeKalb County, Ga. She was an elementary school teacher for five years. She was a member of Glenn Memorial Methodist Church and an active Sunday school teacher, also. She was president of the Lullwater Garden Club and performed many civic duties as well.

Robert (Bobby) Chesley Dudley, 71, of Conyers, Ga., died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003. He was born in Atlanta in 1932. After graduation from Roosevelt High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving most of his four years in Japan, Indo China and Alaska. Upon leaving the Navy, he was employed by AT&T and retired as operations manager after 31 years of service. An avid sports fan, he spent his younger years coaching little league teams.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jean Dudley of Conyers; daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Steve Stewman of Fayetteville, Ga.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty Williamson of Tiger, Ga., Shirley and Julian Spence of McDonough, Ga., Patsy and Aurthur Elrod of Winder, Ga; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Pam Dudley of Williamson, Ga.; grandchildren, Bethany Snyder and David Stewman; several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Roach was a 1969 Graduate of Towers High School in Decatur, a Postal Rural Carrier with the Snellville Post Office, and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Snellville and Belmont Baptist Church in Conyers. Ms. Roach was preceded in death by father, Luther W. Roach Sr., and sister, Carol Lucus. She is survived by children, Melinda “Shey” Eiland, Charlotte, NC, “Dylan” Reginald Eiland, Atlanta, and "Joshua" Aaron Roach, Conyers; stepchildren, Ronnie Ashley and Timmy Leach of Texas; mother; Annie Laura Roach, Conyers; brothers, Luther W. and Linda Roach Jr., Covington, Michael W. and Vicki Roach, Cartersville, Roy E. and Jennie Sue Roach, Conyers; sisters, Sandra R. Perryman (Perry) Wilson, age 77, of Conyers, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 10, at Ward’s Rockdale Chapel at 11 a.m. with Rev. Clarence Thompson officiating. iIntermentwill follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge. Mr. Wilson was a. retired barber in Atlanta. He was a member and a deacon at Highland Baptist Church. Perry was active in prison ministry through country gospel music, and a 32nd Degree Mason belonging to the Philologia Masonic Lodge F&AM No. 178. He is survived by wife, Ruby Cosby Wilson of Conyers; daughters, Hannah and Mike Jessup of Conyers, Alicia Wilson Bull of Atlanta, Maria Lea and Keith Arvidson of Marietta; sisters, Jessie Walker of Macon, Ernestine English of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews. James W. Elkins of Conyers died March 7, 2005.
