Mrs. Cecilia (C.C.) Nicole Brooks Johnson, passed away Aug. 20, 2005, in Peoria, Illinois.
Mrs. Johnson was born Oct. 23, 1972, in Thomasville, Ga. She attended school and lived most of her life in Cairo, Ga. She is survived by her husband, Thomas James (T.J.) Johnson, and her children, Courtney Jane, Cody Jack, McKenzie Thunder and Paige Dakota Johnson, all of Colchester, Illinois. Also surviving are her mother and stepfather, Kathryn Dianne and Lee Monk and in-laws, Billy and Kathy Jones, all of Cairo.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Wayne Brooks; her brother, Joey Thursby; and grandparents, Charlie Winburn and Odene Taylor Akridge.
The family will receive guests at Heritage Funeral Home, Wednesday evening, Aug. 24, 7-9 p.m.
The service will be held Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, at 10 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. iIntermentwill follow at Pine Level Annex Cemetery.
A fund has been established at Cairo Banking Company for the children of Cecilia Brooks Johnson. Checks need to be made to “Bereavement fund for Johnson Children.”

Mr. James Thurman McKee, 34, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, in Tallahassee, Fla.
Mr. McKee was born Jan. 10, 1971, in Maryville, Tenn., to Pearlie Hodge McKee and the late John McKee. Mr. McKee was a lineman for Grady Electric Membership Corp and was residing in Cairo, Ga.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Cairo, with the Rev. Ricky Whitley officiating. iIntermentfollowed at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cairo.
Active pallbearers were employees of Grady Electric Membership Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Barrineau McKee, Cairo; children, Krystal McKee, Kristy McKee and Kelly McKee, all of Cairo; mother, Pearlie McKee, Maryville; brother, Paul McKee, Maryville; and aunts, Ruby Shanholtzer, Cairo, and Linda Harrison, Maryville.

KATHLEEN MILLER

Mrs. Kathleen Cain Miller passed away in Thomasville, Ga., at Archbold Memorial Hospital, on Friday, Aug. 19, 2005.
Mrs. Miller was born in Whigham, Ga., Feb. 27, 1915, to the late Charles and Kate Dees Cain. She was married
to George W. Miller in 1937. Mr. Miller preceded her in death June 30, 1959. Mrs. Miller lived her lifetime in this area. She was a dedicated homemaker and a member of Whigham Baptist Church.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at Whigham Baptist Church, Whigham, with the Rev. Leon VanLandingham and the Rev. Harold Burrell officiating. iIntermentfollowed at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Lucy Cara Monroe, wife of the late Cleaveland H. Monroe of Santa Clara, Calif., and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Cornelius Ham of Cairo, Ga., passed away Aug. 12, 2005, in the home of her niece, Pamela Herig Stewart.
Mrs. Monroe lived in Santa Clara for the past 45 years before moving to Brunswick, Ga., in 2004.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
NINA OMANS

Mrs. Nina Lenora Omans, 54, passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital, Thomasville, Ga., Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005.
Mrs. Omans was born in Decatur County, Ga., Dec. 3, 1950, to the late Edward Leo and Loretta Miller Powell. She was a dedicated homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, graveside in White Bridge Cemetery, Miller County, Ga., with the Rev. Ed Harrell officiating.
Active pallbearers were Charles Bishop, Franklin Patrizi, Timothy Beasley, Trampas Lambert, Wesley Lambert, Matt Lambert, Zachry Lambert and Jay Hunt.

Mr. Richard Dale Robinson passed away unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 15, 2005, in Monticello, Fla.
Mr. Robinson was born in Leon County, Fla., Sept. 22, 1955, to Margie Reeves Pearce of Whigham, Ga., and the late Louis Robinson. He was a roofer and a member of Providence Baptist Church, Whigham.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Olen Baxter and the Rev. Chad Cooper officiating. iIntermentfollowed at Providence Cemetery.

Funeral services for Sister Mary Frances Scott, affectionately called “Mae, ” were conducted Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at 1 p.m. from the Saint Clair Primitive Baptist Church, Hwy. 111 S., where she was a member. Elder Jimmy Simmons officiated, with interment held in the Crestview Cemetery, Hwy. 84 E., Cairo.
Pallbearers and flowerbearers were family and friends.
Mrs. Scott passed away at Archbold Hospital, Thomasville, Ga., on Monday morning, Aug. 15, 2005. She was the daughter of the late George and Lucinda Harris Prater. She was married
to Charlie Scott, who preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1987.
Her survivors include a son, James Prater, Cairo; grandchildren, Tony Harvey, Karsandra Harvey and Carolyn Lattimore, Winter Haven, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, George Prater, Tampa, Fla.; one Godbaby; and a host of special friends and other relatives.

HERBERT TRAWICK
July 19, 1933 - Aug. 18, 2005
Mr. Herbert Rex Trawick, age 72, passed away after an extended illness at his place of residence on Midway Road in Cairo, Ga., on Aug. 18, 2005.
Mr. Trawick was born in Seminole County, Ga., July 19, 1933, to the late Willie Jay and Nuna Belle Dozier Trawick. He was married
for 48 years to Mrs. Carolyn Jones Trawick. Mr. Trawick served in the United States Navy for four years and returned to Seminole County a short time before moving to Tallahassee, Fla., where he was a route salesman for Borden Dairy for thirty years prior to his disability. He and his wife moved to Cairo in 1995 to be near their family. He was a member of the Cairo First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Trawick took much pride in his yard and vegetable garden, which he loved to share with family and friends. He was very active in horseback riding and was a champion barrel racer for several years with his horse, “Nip.” He trained many horses for friends and family.
Funeral services were held for Mr. Trawick on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, at 3 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Cairo with the Rev. Richard Soper and the Rev. Richard Trawick officiating. Reflecting Rex’s love for his horses, he was transported to Greenwood cemetery for the interment service by a horse drawn hearse.
Serving as pallbearers were Bob Maxwell, Wes Dozier, Jim Dozier, Junior Trawick, Dick Porter and Tom Long.
Honorary pallbearers were Ray Butler, Mark Bishop, Jerry Joyner, Dale MacKenzie, Carroll Hopkins, Raymond McKinney, Ralph Daughtry, Henry Andrews, Jeff Stockwell and Jack Thrasher.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Jones Trawick, Cairo; daughters, Angela Trawick Jackson, Cairo, and Sherri Trawick Andrews, husband, Tim, Cairo; son, Michael Rex Trawick, and wife, Becky, Havana, Fla.; sister, Evelyn Trawick Maxwell, Shalimar, Fla.; brother, Robert Garner Trawick, Shalimar; and grandchildren, Thomas Carl Jackson, Cairo, Ryan Timothy Andrews, Cairo, Chad Allen Andrews, Cairo, Michael Lance Trawick, Lucas Franklin Trawick, Victoria Nalea Trawick and Mikayla Jade Trawick, all of Havana.

Mr. Julian O. Wheeler, 75, a farmer, passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2005, at his place of residence in Bainbridge, Ga.
Mr. Wheeler was born on March 1, 1930, in Grady County, Ga., the son of Roland Osgood Wheeler and Lula Mae Harrison Wheeler. He graduated from Bainbridge High School, and married
Edith Womack on Aug. 16, 1955. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was past president of the Decatur County Farm Bureau and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at Bethany Baptist Church, Brinson, Ga., with burial at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
