Memorial services for Deborah Ann Barber of Helena were held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 29 in the chapel of Lowe’s Funeral Home.
The Rev. Daryl Barlow officiated.
Barber, 50, died Wednesday July 27, 2005 at a Macon hospital. She was the daughter of the late Florrie Jean Brown Barber and Russell Barber of Crestview, Fla.
Survivors include one sister, Dianna Selph of Avon Park Fla.; two brothers, Russell Barber of Helena, and John H. Barber of McRae.
Lowe’s Funeral Home of Helena was in charge of arrangements.
Lena Charlotte Wall Williams
Services for Lena Charlotte Wall Williams of McRae were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3 in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with interment in the Oak Grove cemetery.
The Rev. William Connell officiated.
Williams, 83, died Saturday July 30, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Chapel and Selena Lenderman Wall of McRae and was the widow of Robert L. Williams.
A native of McRae, she was a retired florist and a member of McRae First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Linda (Johnny) Kelly, and Wright Williams, all of McRae; caretaker, Elaine Lutwinski of Milan; grandchildren, Tara (Joey) Royston of Royston, Daniel Williams and Lindsey Williams, both of Milan, and a great-grandchild, Brecken Royston of Royston.
Vaughn Funeral Home of McRae was in charge of arrangements.
Floree Colter Carter
Graveside services for Floree Colter Carter of McRae were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 31 in the Cadwell Cemetery.
The Rev. Dale McDermit and the Rev. Al Haywood officiated.
Carter, 88, died Friday, July 29, 2005. She was the daughter of the late William Jesse and Mattie Mae Bedingfield Colter and was the widow of John Patrick Carter Jr. She was preceded in death by a grandson, David Mullis.
She was a retired supervisor with a woolen textile plant and was a member of Cadwell Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Martha Ann Mullis and Quint Mullis of McRae; three grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to the McRae Presbyterian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 97, McRae Ga. 31055 or the Cadwell Baptist Church Building Fund P.O. Box 97, Cadwell Ga. 31009.

George Clark Weeks
Services for George Clark Weeks of McRae were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 29 in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with interment in Telfair Memorial Gardens.
Dr. Bob Williams officiated.
Weeks, 63, died Saturday, July 23, 2005. He was the son of the late Curtis E. and Florence Clarke Weeks of McRae and was married to Sharon Weeks of McRae.
He was a retired internal affairs investigator with the Georgia Department of Corrections.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his sons, Chuck (Tracy) Weeks of Villa Rica and Chris (Kristi) Weeks of Helena; and 6 grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to McRae United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 8, McRae Ga. 31055.

Clarence Murray Melvin
Services for Clarence Murray Melvin of Eastman were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3 in the chapel of Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home with interment in Sand Grove Cemetery.
The Rev. Dan Jones, the Rev. Ronny Moore and the Rev. Larry
Williams officiated.
Melvin 82, died Sunday, July 31, 2005 at the Dodge County Hospital. He was the son of the late Robert Melvin and Maime Jones Melvin and was married to Bernice Smith Melvin.
He was a retired mechanic, farmer and welder and was a member of Sugar Creek Congregational Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughters, Jeanette Hall (Charles), Kathy Lewis (Randall), and Patty Spires of Eastman; one son, Danny Melvin (Faye) of Milan; one sister, Bessie Graham of Cochran, one brother, Guy Melvin of Eastman; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman was in charge of arrangements.
Leon ‘Blue’ Jones
Graveside services for Leon “Blue” Jones of Milan were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 26 at Antioch Cemetery.
The Rev. Jack Lee and the Rev. Dahl McDermitt officiated.
Jones, 73, died Sunday, July 24, 2005 in the Dodge County Hospital. He was married to Dolly Jones of Milan.
He was a member of Antioch #2 Baptist Church and was parts manager for Giant Tractor Company.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughters, Kandice Forrest and Jill Jones, both of Milan and Yvonne Galloway of Grass Valley, Ca.; one son, Ricky Jones of New Orleans, La.; two sisters, June Lee and Joan Yawn of Milan; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
Hardy-Towns Funeral Home of Eastman was in charge of arrangements.
Sandra ‘Linda’ Ellis Kelly
Services for Sandra “Linda” Ellis Kelly of Fredricksburg, Va. were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 19 at Turner Chapel AME Church with interment in the Milan Cemetery.
The Rev. Troy Singleton officiated.
Kelly, 49, died Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at her residence. She was the daughter of Roberta Ellis and the late George Ellis Sr. and was married to Pasqua Kelly. She was preceded in death by three brothers, George Ellis Jr., Peter James Ellis, and Sammie Lee Ellis.
She was employed at Spotsylvania County School System in Fredricksburg Va.
In addition to her husband and mother, survivors include her brothers, John Ellis of Milan, and Kenneth Ellis of Hazlehurst; four sisters, Annie Bell Wiggins (Sam) of McRae, Glenda Ellis of Douglas, Deotha Ellis of Riverdale and Dianne Ellis of McRae; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Edward Mackey
Services for Edward Mackey of McRae were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 24 at The Religious Center of McRae with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
The Rev. Jerry Clark officiated.
Mackey, 72, died Monday, July 18, 2005 at his residence. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mackey of McRae and was married to Maude Mackey. He was preceded in death by one brother, Willie J. Allen.
He was retired from Southern Railroad.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Velma Mackey of Alamo, Perry (Mary) Mackey of McRae, Richard (Dorothy) Mackey of Alamo, Chester (Victoria) Mackey of Brunswick, Mary Jo Mackey of Glenwood, Arthur (Sandra) Mackey and Angela Mackey, both of McRae and Larry (Phyllis) Mathis of Bainbridge, Bruce (Josephine) Mathis of Lumber City, and Tyrus Mackey or McRae; two sisters, Mary Mooney of Cincinnati, and Nealie (Leniel) Wright of Alamo; 45 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Linda Davis
Services for Linda Davis of Milan were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at Mt. Tilla Baptist Church in Milan with interment in the Milan Cemetery.
The Rev. M. Anthony officiated.
Davis, 52, died Tuesday, Jan 17, 2006 in Milan. She was the daughter of the late Will Holden and the late Beatrice McNair and was married to Robert L. Davis Jr. of Milan.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her daughter, Candace Delois Pearl Davis; son, Robert L. Davis III of Milan; two brothers, Henry (Miriam) C. Holder of Ellenwood, Ga. and Benjamin McNair; stepfather, Lawrence McNair; and a host of other relatives and friends.
